They should have just given us the 1993 Nublar map from Return To Jurassic Park. The vast openess of that map was damn near perfect, and had it been coupled with the JWE2 features, we could virtually recreate a perfect Jurassic Park ourselves!. If they just wanted to add on the little enclave with the waterfall and helipad off to one side, then that would have been absolutely fine and would have been a welcome edition to the RTJP Nublar map! But the Chaos Theory 1993 Nublar map is just very awkwardly designed and implimented. It feels very small and constrained by comparison. And that's not including the issues I have with the ranger posts and dinosaurs needing to constant scanned every couple of mintues. And the ranger teams just seem to stop scanning after your park hits certain dinosaur population for me too? Sorry, I'm still not that impressed with some of the Chaos Theory maps and scenarios we're given in JWE2. 1993 Nublar is full of missed opportunities, with both the map design, the lack of legacy characters aside from Hammond & Wu (where were Grant Sattler, Malcolm, Muldoon, Mr Arnold, or Gerry Harding?) They could have even scripted a plot of Nedry being caught before the sabotage and espionage had occured and saved the park from failing the first time. Sorry if that makes me a little salty about the game, but I feel like Frontier did improve on a bunch of the things we wanted fixed and addressed, but in some areas and regards, they also added, changed, and "fixed" the things that did NOT need fixing too.
I 100% agree, the sequel removed stuff i liked (the herbivore feeders, Ranger jeeps being able to medicate and tranq and many more) and then added stuff that wasn't fun like the slow MVU van. Also, how did the vehicle physics get worse from the first game? Now if my jeep hits a small bump it goes 50ft in the air and falls apart. And don't get me started on the scientists, ugh
I actually made a 100% accurate fence layout, but to do that you need to build it 90 degrees to the left instead. That way you can also fit in a custom guest area (safari lodge) and other stuff like aviary and lagoon. Anyways, great build! Keep up the good work
"If you clicked on this video, you are probably interested in recreating Jurassic Park for yourself in Jurassic World Evolution 2 or you already have and you ran into some issues." Nah, I just love your content! :D
Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved studying the various maps & dinosaur lists from the movie's maps & the novel's manifests. I am very happy they added dinos like Proceratosaurus, Euoplocephalus & Suchomimus, just because they had passing mentions in the books, movies or the map. Still no Segisaurus, however :'( I've always been curious, though, where on Nublar would John Hammond have put all of the Isla Sorna dinosaurs, like Carnotaurus, Stegosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, etc.? Did he plan to make parks on the other Cinco Muertes islands? Isla Nublar doesn't seem to have enough space for ALL of the dinos on InGen's list.
As your friendly neighbourhood spiderm-, I mean Jurassic Park historian, perhaps I can help answer your questions! 🙂 Firstly, I can say beyond doubt that Hammond did not intend to build anything on the other Cinco Muertes islands. The other 4 islands in the island chain, apart from Isla Sorna, are described as being small, volcanic islands with large, sheer cliffs, and not enough room to build, or safe access for boats to bring construction equipment. The description of the islands in The Lost World novel can be seen in TLW movie when Kelly enters the trailers in Eddie's workshop. As you can see, Nublar is not a part of that island chain, and we know from TLW novel that Site B was built before Isla Nublar, therefore Hammond and InGen were aware the other islands didn't suit their needs before Jurassic Park was under construction. Your next question, where did Hammond intend to put new species on Nublar, is a little harder to answer, especially as I haven't read the book in ages. However, as I recall, there are a few chapters in the JP book where Dr. Wu talks about the different iterations of dinosaurs he has created. For example, he talks about how some early dinosaurs he made were imperfect or flawed, they would rub their skin raw on nearby trees, it would get infected, and they'd die, or repeatedly headbutt fences till they suffered life ending injuries. These basic behaviour flaws took him years to fix and breed out of the population through many different changes to his process. He also states that the animals breeding proves he has perfected the cloning process, right before the raptors kill him. From that, we can ascertain two things. One, dinosaurs had died on Isla Nublar and been replaced with Site B animals in the past. And two, we don't know how refined the other breeds on Site B are, or if they were ever intended for Jurassic Park. We know it took Wu years to perfect the dinosaurs on Nublar, how far behind some of other the Site B breeds are we don't know. What we do know however, is Hammond had replaced animals on Nublar before, so it's most likely they intended to introduce new breeds to Nublar as the original breeds died out, or got too old. We also know new animals didn't mix well with older ones, as seen with the juvenile T-Rex they introduced to the Rex paddock staying in its individual territory away from the adult Rex, the raptors killing the raptor hatchlings in the visitor centre lab, and "the big one" in the film killing 6 of the 8 original raptors. As Muldoon says, "we bred 8 originally but when she came along she took over the pride and killed all but 2 of the others." Therefore it's highly likely Hammond never intended to bring in different species till there was room, as in the novel he freaks out about the mixed herbivore species attacking each other due to their cost to develop. So I doubt he would bring over anything from Site B that might injure, or otherwise adversely effect, his showroom ready animals on Nublar. We can confirm this with real world zoo examples of carnivorous species as well. For instance, most zoos will only keep one male, or multiple females, unless they have breeding facilities, in which case they keep one male to every 2-4 females, and encourage him to breed with them all. Any new males are sold as infants to other zoos, so as to not upset the alpha male pack dynamic of the enclosure, or as a breeding bull for other breeding zoos. Whereas females might be kept a bit longer, or to replace their ageing mother as another breeding female. Either way, animals are cycled in and out as needed, though obviously too and from other zoos, and not a "Site B" as in JP/TLW. Anyway, I hope this helps answer your questions! Always happy to help another JP fan find more enjoyment from the series! 🙂👍
@@VitZ9 Hi, there. Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to say, THANK YOU, for taking the time to make this incredibly lengthy comment. I have read & appreciated it, especially all the work you put into answering me.
@@WalrusWinking San Diego and no, that was abandoned before he planned to build on Nublar. It was because he wanted to build parks in Europe and Japan.
I've made the same! I've used also the InGen objects mod to make it more realistic but as you said you can avoid it and it's great anyway. If you want you can also make the park of the book because there is an official map. I'm finding challenging to recreate the second movie because you need hidden fences and mantain the count of dinos on a decent amount. (Food-chain at its best)
Awesome video!!! Also I made the 7 islands from the original game, most of them are dinosaurs from that island, but I added some of my own as well because I can :) but a species of dinosaur can only be on one island in that Map, but if your planning on making the original 7 islands as well you can use a species on multiple islands :)
Can recommend a software called Nomacs Image Lounge. It's basically applying an image as an overlay with transparency while the game is on and you can lock it so that it remains on top. I used it when I played Forza so I could create shapes and logos / brands. So taking a screenshot from the map, add the park save the image and open it with Nomacs should get the job done very fast!
Amazing! Thanks for the tip, I will try to recreate Jp 1993, but since I am a console player it will be probably a little hard. Btw will you make a San Diego recreation or a better San Diego park?
another great way to determine the actual layout is tour the park yourself in another officially licensed jurassic park game and it wouldent be what you expect, Lego Jurassic park. The whole layout between the visitors center and the raptor paddock and more really helped me make my own build
I've tried doing this before, but the problem I keep finding with the available online maps, is there's always a discrepancy in a direction of the travel, or the order in which they see the dinosaurs. I eventually gave up on the maps, and just designed my own, so that the JP jeeps leave the helipad, pass the brachiosaurus, and parasaurolophus on their way to the Visitor's Center, then the Explorers travel to the left (facing the visitor's center) then through the JP gate, then dilophosaurus on the right, triceratops on the left, Rex on the left, and make up the rest as I go along.
Okay - there’s this thing that everyone keeps doing, where they put the “arrival point” by the waterfall. But here’s the thing - Alan grant and Ellie saggier were on a FOSSIL EXPEDITION when they were flown into Nublar. Which kind of indicates that it’s the EXPEDITION CENTRE that should be by the waterfall. Not a big thing necessarily, but I do find it seriously opens up flexibility when it comes to building the guest areas that have the hotels (which we don’t see).
I'm thinking of using the cement barriers to make the triceratops enclosure for the tour, that way they don't attack the vehicles while also not having a massive fence in the way
I did my build on PS4, now I am recreating my build using PC and the new Anniversary content. My way of going about it was to disregard the actual fence shape and just use the space provided while sticking to the species list on the United Airline map. This time around I may find a way to work in the Zipline and Viewing Dome attractions.
I've read the novel multiple times, but I don't remember seeing a map in it :P So I'm never really sure what people mean when they ask for a "novel accurate park"
Another informative video. If you're thinking 'How do I get to 100k subs!?' I wouldn't worry about it too much. It seems to me that you've come this far simply by being you. It's hard to quantify what makes you so likeable, just content yourself with the knowledge that you are. Keep on being your lovely self and those last 5k will come along soon. 100,000... that's a decent audience for Queen, let alone one Dutch UA-camr, go you!
Until now is still impossible to recreate at 100% the original park because the Segisaurus is missing and Frontier hasn't added it in the game, we all fans are still waiting for the Segisaurus addition to finally recreate and complete the original park
I would like to point out that the "raptor paddock" seen in the film was _not_ the original or intended habitat for the raptors: it is in fact a veterinarian quarrentine pen for small to medium-sized dinos. They had to move the remaining raptor pack here because their previous enclosure was far too insecure. Muldoon mentioned that the Big One took over, killed all but two of the pack, and had them attacking the fences when the feeders came, systematically looking for weaknesses.
I used ranger posts near my visitors center and guest area to make the jeeps run from the arrival automatically. But for it to work properly you need it to be paused while you assign the teams to the post.
If you play on a CRT you can just leave the reference map on the screen over the weekend and when you come back it will have burned into the screen and you can just draw the fences over it.
I wish the game had presets, basically it would be a map with all the fences and buildings already made for you but you would be the one decorating and putting the Dinosaurs into it
For my build I am doing something in the spirit of the brochure maps but using every bit of space available on the map and placing things where I want them. Now that the tour can be used to make path sepreate from the arrival point I am making the tour also pick up visitors from the heliport. Also, for segisaurus using coelophysis considering its in the same family it makes a perfect sub. One thing I wanted to go for was quality over quantity, a lot of the enclosures I made are pretty big despite the number of dinos in them. I really wanted to make a safari park. Lastly, I put my safari lodges on the bottom area of the map.
I'm lazy so I did this on the nublar 2015 map, on the bright side it gave me way more space to get things more accurate to the movie even thought I had no waterfall, COMPROMISES
I tried my hand at really putting time into a park recently. I play on console so it’s not perfect but I really like how it looks. For anyone curious I went for a Jurassic Park 2022
Another reference for recreating the map is actually Lego Jurassic Park. They recreated the park in that and it is a fully open world to go around the park. It isn't 100% accurate, but it is close and still helps
It is possible to add elements in the map during creation to have more reference points. as you can never have too much reference, unless is too much reference for your time, as time is indeed limited. said references would help to reduce the amount of screenshot interactions, also... there other image manipulation tools out there and I strongly recommend using transparency to get the fence just right. note that "exactly right" is not needed to create a illusion of perfect, nobody perfectly remember something.
Thank you!! Very thoughtful of adding the screenshots in one video too. This is just what I was looking for to create my own version :) . Also, would love to see what you could do with a fully modded version of the game. Maybe a mix of both movie and novel versions??
I wish they recreated the island from the movie exactly but obviously just downscaled a tad bit but on todays consoles and PCs it could probably run alright at the full scale
I think i would trying flipping your orientation 180 degrees so the waterfall is on the west and the VC, raptor pen, bunker and powerplant/shed is in the northern pocket that you used for the dock. the dock then goes on the 'east' side with the main tour of the park just like in the movie. But really well-done getting it done this way. it is a very good/pretty accurate facsimile of the movie park especially since they don't give us a gigantic square to work in unlike say....JPOG. With the limits of the tools this is about as close to as good as it will get basically. Also I am sure someone already mentioned this but GIMP is a good free-source image editor alternative to Photoshop. Also a bit more powerful than some of the free online image editors.
@@EvolutionSquare was thinking about building a small exhibit like you trex feeding one but without fences using small decorations to keep them from running out kinda like how you did in jwe1

I think I might read the book. I'm curious if I'll enjoy it. I'm soooo familiar with the original movie that I might just prefer that anyway. Cheers 🍻
You know, the Oregon map looks similar in location and aesthetic to the surroundings of Camp Howard, which is where I went for Outdoor School in 6th grade. Lots of coniferous trees, a lake, and mountains nearby.
The entire enclosure was actually lowered down by like 40 feet but there was a smooth section where the Rex could get close to the guest where the goat would be fed so the guest could see her.
It would be good for fronter to copy the hole film in challenge mode to get free park go to sandbox and then go preset and then go to standard layout and switch it to chaos theory or challenge.
I ran into this aswell, first go into operations on the side bar in regular sandbox and select the infinity sign on the building skins, then go into fences and you will have all of them.
I've just finished a DFW/DPG Site B preserve, could be a fun one for you to try. I used canonical lost world JP (film) dinosaurs and flyers only with Carnivores contained separated from the herbivores who I had in one large nature preserve... Trying to do that with restrictions I.E dinosaur comfort and combat turned on

the 2015 is definitely a lot better suited when it comes to size and shape, but I really wanted to have the waterfall :)
FINNALLY THANK THE LORD YOU ACTUALLY DID IT,
Could you make Jurassic Park and Jurassic World on one map with the new square sandbox?
Lol you said I didn’t have to watch the movies for the screenshots haha jokes on you I Will!!!
If you play on a CRT you can just leave the reference map on the screen over the weekend and when you come back it will have burned into the screen and you can just draw the fences over it.
top tip
I wish the game had presets, basically it would be a map with all the fences and buildings already made for you but you would be the one decorating and putting the Dinosaurs into it
Fr
For my build I am doing something in the spirit of the brochure maps but using every bit of space available on the map and placing things where I want them. Now that the tour can be used to make path sepreate from the arrival point I am making the tour also pick up visitors from the heliport. Also, for segisaurus using coelophysis considering its in the same family it makes a perfect sub. One thing I wanted to go for was quality over quantity, a lot of the enclosures I made are pretty big despite the number of dinos in them. I really wanted to make a safari park. Lastly, I put my safari lodges on the bottom area of the map.
OG 100K… I was one of the OG 25K… love your videos!
Legend!
I'm lazy so I did this on the nublar 2015 map, on the bright side it gave me way more space to get things more accurate to the movie even thought I had no waterfall, COMPROMISES
yep compromise is the name of the game ;)
Finally watched it! I’ll have to try it!
I remember in the first game building the entire layout right after so many tries, only then to find out the cars went in the opposite direction 😂
First like, comment, and view. Keep up the good work and stay safe as always.
oof you were ALMOST actually first this time haha
now gonna go recreat this on xbox 😭, thanks evoooo
I tried my hand at really putting time into a park recently. I play on console so it’s not perfect but I really like how it looks.
For anyone curious I went for a Jurassic Park 2022
Another reference for recreating the map is actually Lego Jurassic Park. They recreated the park in that and it is a fully open world to go around the park. It isn't 100% accurate, but it is close and still helps
I just honestly wish we could use the entire island
I love this it's going to really help
That's a good explanation. I just wish we had a larger map to build on and we had more movie authentic stuff like fences.
Love it. Thank you for this.
This video is very inspiring I used inspiration from this video and it looks great
Do they not have the actual island In the Jurassic Park Chaos Theory thing?
Thank you!! Very thoughtful of adding the screenshots in one video too. This is just what I was looking for to create my own version :) . Also, would love to see what you could do with a fully modded version of the game. Maybe a mix of both movie and novel versions??
This is very informative!
I wish they recreated the island from the movie exactly but obviously just downscaled a tad bit but on todays consoles and PCs it could probably run alright at the full scale
its very hard to copy the fences exactly but im pretty happy with my recreation of this recreation especially using more recent updates
You can use the other gaps to add the resort all all of that with power or a dino breeding pen
Yes I was waiting for this for so long lmao
I hope it helps!
If it takes a professional
I tried this too and ran into the same issues! Kind of frustrating but oh well. Will you post a download link for yours?
Have you thought about making a petting zoo exhibit with homalocphale and minmi?
without mods the game really doesn't provide the tools for that
@@EvolutionSquare was thinking about building a small exhibit like you trex feeding one but without fences using small decorations to keep them from running out kinda like how you did in jwe1
I've put those sidewalk decks in my builds before. My fence is perfect but I used your previous video as a ref for mine then added in things from the book and telltale game as well.
Bravo 👏 amazing 🤩
There is a fence layout map shown in the movie so you don’t need a fan made
I wish to add redwood trees in Jurassic world evolution 2 and maybe a redwood biome from Isla sorna
This new update is the first time ive come back to this game since about a month after it came out. Most of my issues with the game have been solved now
yeah same, the updates did wonders!
Nice video i love it🎉🎉🎉
I can’t wait to watch dis vid
WOW! You did a great job recreating Jurassic Park! You could try to recreate the scene of the Parasaurolophos and Corythosaurs, as the game already has trees as decoration you could try to recreate it!
A suggestion, u can use the LEGO Jw game to get some more details inside the fences and etc,.
I tried doing this but with Lego jurassic park and gave up but you still make really good parks
Cool
Love your vid! I just finished the campaign in JWE. Looking for something to keep me going. I love the idea of recreating jurassic world park or the 93 jurassic park. I'm not a PC guy. I'm playing the ps4 version(on ps5). I'm also thinking about moving on to JWE2. I love to watch the t Rex do it's roar when released. Also just went to see dominion. Can't seem to get enough. Lol. I think I might read the book. I'm curious if I'll enjoy it. I'm soooo familiar with the original movie that I might just prefer that anyway. Cheers 🍻
I wish they could make bigger maps. It would make park building so much more fun especially since I can decorate more and have more dinosaurs.
Ich Liebe deine viedeos so sehr
Your so good at making these... when I make jurassic park... it's not one bit accurate lol
as long as you had fun ;) it's still a GAME after all, right?
Yeppers... but then a storm came through and I just let all the dinosaurs have their fun... it was quite enjoyable to watch
Cant wait to see mods on this map and to see a more accurate nublar
I don't know if it is possible but I think we really need the entire island open for us to build on. Only Current gen and PC obviously.
Good work 👏
Thank you so much 😀
@@EvolutionSquare You're Welcome!
You know, the Oregon map looks similar in location and aesthetic to the surroundings of Camp Howard, which is where I went for Outdoor School in 6th grade. Lots of coniferous trees, a lake, and mountains nearby.
Don't forget the point the T. rex escapes magically turns into 100 foot cliff down....
Thanks for the help
How were you able to access all the fences types at 5:20? Even in unlimited sandbox mode I can't seem to access all of them?
I ran into this aswell, first go into operations on the side bar in regular sandbox and select the infinity sign on the building skins, then go into fences and you will have all of them.
I've just finished a DFW/DPG Site B preserve, could be a fun one for you to try. I used canonical lost world JP (film) dinosaurs and flyers only with Carnivores contained separated from the herbivores who I had in one large nature preserve... Trying to do that with restrictions I.E dinosaur comfort and combat turned on
Hey how's it going? So I love your videos but I have a question how do you use jurassic park buildings together? Until today I do not know I would be grateful if you answer me thank you a fan!
