Saw a Facebook ad for it and figured there was no way it was 10 dollars. Went through checkout and boom, 9.99. Had to buy it at that point. Excited to get home later and test it out. I like the idea of having a graphic eq on the amp head to show where it's pumping. Nice demo format. Good balance between the facecam and the program screen.

Great job on this video. I definitely want to look into this now, but at the same time almost don't want too. That's a big and intimidating looking program! Sounded really good and you explained it really well.
All these amp sims have become virtual reality for guitarists! If you can mic an amp, you can use this plug-in. Ha ha. This one just has an absurd amount of options for only $10! And the user interface is one of the more intuitive ones in this price range.
Awesome demo, how do you find ReAmp Studio goes for CPU usage? I'm enjoying being able to load in as many of their individual amp sims as I need to track guitars, just wondering if ReAmp chews up much more processing power per instance.
It has honestly been one of the lighter load plug-ins I have used. I am usually able to track in the DAW at 128 sample buffer which is like 7ms latency on my computer. I usually mix at 512 sample rate. I try to send as many tracks as I can to stereo buses and use the plug-in to amp the stereo signal for her pan let/right guitars. The ability to feed in a stereo signal is nice and they also have the built in over sampling processor that you can lower or turn off to save CPU. Since you are only loading one amp at a time, it isn’t any more intensive than running some of AAs other standalone amps on a channel.
Reamp Studio is great. It's not AA's best sim but it's certainly their most flexible. Stoked for the new profiling tech coming in a future update. Awesome demo \M/
Great video Brian. Learned a lot. I purchased this one and a couple of others from Audio Assault before Christmas, and it's all great stuff. I hope you don't mind me asking you, but I see you are using Cakewalk. I do also. My question is, after adding the amp sim as an "insert" on the track, where (on average) is your volume/input level on the meter? Cheers.
Typically, I will set the amp level to get the track volume peaking around -6 when the fader is at 0. Then I move the fader down as I need to. I try to end up with the guitars peaking at around -10 in the mix with the entire mix sitting at about -6 with snare drum usually peaking at -3 before I add compression and a limiter to the master bus. Different guitars have different input depending on the the pickups. My trim on my interface is always at 0. For stereo guitars I send the tracks to a single stereo bus and put the amp sim on the bus in stereo mode. The sends are panned with output at 0 and in the same way to set the amp to where the bus is peaking near -6 to -3 depending on how the signal sounds at certain gain levels. I also will slide the fader down til the peaks are hitting about -10 in the mix.
Great video, helped a lot and that price is crazy good. I have a question, I'm using a Scarlet Solo as my interface and I've used it with other plugins such as Neural and STL Tones. When I do the options for those, it has Input 1 and Input 2 listed separately and I have to select Input 2 in order to hear sound out of left and right. However in this plugin it doesn't list separate Input 1 and Input 2 options, it just shows "Input 1 + 2." For 90% of the tones I'm only hearing it out of one side of the headphones or the other. I've tried to go in the settings and select L, R and Stereo output and it only plays out of one or the other. Some it's REALLY quiet out of one side while normal out the other. Then there's a few tones that play evenly out of both sides. I don't get it. Seems pretty inconsistent and it's keeping me from spending even then $10 on this. Any clue what that's about?
If you go to the small “sprocket” button on the top right, it will bring up the list of presets . On the left of that, there is an option for input routing. The L should correspond to Input 1 and R should be input 2. Selecting either of these should provide you with a mono signal that can be routed to a stereo bus. If you select stereo it will take both inputs and split them Left and right. In the DAW depending on how you have the channel panned would determine the amount of signal being sent to one side or the other. It should be the same on the standalone.
AA seems to blend a lot of stuff for their IR's, and thier recent updated to the re-amp and overall GUI does a better job of indicating what the pedal is supposed to be... but since they do not have any licensing, I think they have to make it super vague.
I do think with this one, skip the presets and just start tweaking it like you would a real amp. I haven’t really had much luck with any companies presets with the exception of the 11 11 11 from Otto Audio, and the recent Neural Rabea plug-in. If people would just dig in a little I think they would find the reamp is very well put together and sounds good in a mix! I also wonder how many people never get beyond the standalone and never try it in a mix?
The original idea for the re-amp studio seemed to be an all in one suite of multiple amps you could easily cycle through and get multiple tones with a more minimalist UI. Kind of like “re-amping” with multiple amps, only in a digital space. You won’t get a full featured version of any one amp, just a snapshot of each amps signature tone. The stand alone amps are more complex and meant to be very specific recreations of their inspiration. Every runs in amp locker now, even reamp. If you like having more powerful and feature filled amps, stick with only getting the ones individually in amp locker or subscribe. If you want a lot of tones from multiple amps, go with the reamp2.
Man thank´s a lot for this awesome review. Unfornately i missed the 10 $ promo. You have any Idea wherelse i can get this for a cheaper price as 119$ ? Thanks and Regards from Germany

They are apparently re-working their plug-ins. They were going to make a 2.0 version but last I heard, they are working instead on a framework for loading all existing plug-ins into one loader. They have a few new standalone plug-ins like a dual rec and orange that will be released soon. I kinda wish they would still keep the legacy reamp studio available.
@@BaritoneGoatStudio ah damn, yeah i wish they did! well, time for some patience then! i’ll have to decide which amp to get for pop-rock then, so many to choose from!
Yeah, I get plug in fatigue and often jump around in my presences. I have neural, ML sound labs, Aurora, Otto Audio… and other Audio Assault amps. I use Neural the most as I have become accustomed to it in a mix. But I really like Audio Assaults 5150 sounds and their ENGL. But if I was just starting out and had no plug-ins at all, I would spend the $10 on this. Once they end the deal, which isn’t clear at the moment, I might have to consider it against other comparable products.
I am all for supported software! Curious, do they currently have other plug-ins that are updated already? I have the AHM 2020 plug-in and that has been probably the best straightforward 5150 amp sims I have come across so far.
