Installing LED Interior Lights On A BMW 1 Series E88, E87, E82, E81

- I will be upgrading the interior lights, with bright LED light bulbs on a BMW 1 Series E88 convertible, this will also work for the E87, E82, E81 hatchback and coupe.
This is a very simple, easy and cheap modification to do, it will help make your car look more modern.

What are the footwell lights called? Are they w5w? I've ordered some interior lights but the footwell onds weren't included. Great!
Hey, great video. I actually want to mount a dash cam behind the mirror and run the wires along the top of the windshield behind the top plastic trim. With the dome light unit removed can you fish the wire from the cam, into the mirror housing and up into the cavity behind the dome light ? If so, is it then possible to fish the wire along the trim to the A pillar ?

Ps I want to have bright white lights for main headlights. I'm not going to put in angel eyes but just going to use those blue tint ones. Can you recommend a set that are good and bright please?

Hi Carl I install my led on mine today it’s a bomb the only led I didn’t get are the ones above the sun reflectors 🤨 was them included in the purchase from the link u left in the description? Thank you 🙏
valerio pilla Hi Valerio, it happened to me aswell but the seller is a good guy he sent me one for the sun reflectors. Message the seller and let him know you are missing ones for the sun reflector and he will help you out 🙂👍

You have to turn the lights around if they dont work that’s what they told me to do. Do you have instagram? So I can help you

I've had the same problem. LEDs wont seem to insert the other way no matter how hard I try

nice vid, but they are not called puddle lights, the puddle lights are the ones at the very bottom of the door which our 1 series does not have, not sure what the door handle calls are called, but there not puddle lights... easy mistake to make, I did when I first got mine

No it didn’t for me because it’s just a bulb replacement

Marc Holler which side is it in the interior and are you using a prying tool?
@@CARLISONIT its on my right side and I'm using a screwdriver that the car came with (the manual said to use that)
Marc Holler be very careful with a screwdriver you may crack it because of the sharp metal bit I’d fully recommend using a plastic pry tool, you would need to push into the edges until it pops up
