It's because she doesn't have a lot of clutter or a carpet which would absorb more sound.

Exactly, no clutter results in acoustic echo, but its not bad.

A few months ago, I found a mini clothes washer along the side of the road for free. I purchased some hardware to be able to hook it up to my kitchen sink. I've been able to do my laundry with a lot less electricity and have been hanging it to dry on hangers in my living room, since it's been so hot in my house and I've been running the AC mostly for my animals. Not using the large washer and it running the dryer should save money monthly for me. I don't pay for water where I live, so I can do all my laundry cheaper.

As parents we paid for our 2 kids' university degrees (they start life with no debt), did not charge rent (as they were saving $$--had they been big spenders , then no way). So they in turn had a lot for downpayment. We Took a lower mortgage (did not max out what the bank told us we could spend) and paid extra to pay it off quickly. No car debts--paid in cash. Ate out occasionally, cheap extra-curriculars for us and kids. Everything you said.

My 13 year old grandson and I went to the marina on the local lake to see how much it would cost to rent a boat to go fishing for Lake Trout. It was $185 a day plus gas costs. Then I remembered that we were dog watching the next day on another local lake and they had a nice kayak we were told we could use! Plus they left food for us for lunch. He fished from the kayak and caught some big bass. I fished from the dock and caught a nice trout. Catch and release for us. It didn't cost me anything but the gas to get there and some nightcrawlers. Don't fish around a high strung dog. Lesson learned about that. We had an awesome day!

I absolutely was in that 67%. I grew up living in poverty. My parents were born in 1918 and 1921 so at least I learned how to be frugal. It took me a lot of years just to figure out that I didn’t have to live that way and then how to stop living paycheck to paycheck. I’m trying to catch up now but wow I wish I knew all of that sooner and I wish I had known about investing.

Truth! I'm 59 - retired for almost 2 full years and loving it. Invest at any age - but if you're in your 20s, it's imperative you set aside as much as you can -- your future self will thank you! I get a distribution from my investments monthly - and you know what? I still save/invest a portion of that (yes saving for a car in 5 yrs - even though it's in my investment plan - I want to do it without using my investments -- thinking of using T-Bills soon for that). Old habit die hard!

And he surprised me, he said yes, they are all way in debt, with large credit card balances. Now he owns a home he rents out, hoping to sell to the renters. Does not owe anything more than regular monthly bills. I am proud of him, works and saves and has investments. Did way better than I did. God Bless.

What Happened: The Berkshire Hathaway Inc CEO bought three shares of Cities Service preferred at the age of 11. Despite being 92 years old, Buffett recalls perfectly that he spent $114.75 on March 11, 1942, for the transaction.

The only thing i would add is to also tithe or donate to whatever or whomever moves you. I donate to my animal shelter as well as many other charities and this is where Joy comes in. Hi I just subscribed, plus I told my son who is an adult to take a look at this video. I already live exactly like you have described here and I have since pre-Covid times. I cut my own hair and do not get my nails done at a shop. I may go out 4 or 5 times in the whole year for dinner or breakfast. I was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry, but it started to need too much work so I saved a third down on a minivan so I can haul donations to the goodwill in it, decluttering my house. My son swears he will pay me back and wants me to lend him money to buy a house.
He swears he will pay me back, Dave Ramsey says to consider it a gift. I am already old. This is a gift most likely that I will not be able to repay in my lifetime, but I am going to lend it to be a good Mom, and I own this decision. I am not the entitlement genre you mention. I own my decision to lend money, my fault, my problem!

I love my 2008 corolla and will be sad to see it go. I live in the rust belt or is probably keep it forever

It's so sad when you live in the rust belt. You can have a 20 year old car with 100,000 miles on it that's engine and transmission are solid but the rust makes you have to take it to the junk yard.
