Back then they couldn't keep all cameras on at the same time because computers for broadcasting were still quite limited.

@@SandroMac Toyota also has cam, every car has a T-camera on top, back in the day they just could not broadcast every single one of them because of data limitations. As the a few comments above said.
Yeah as the comments mention above, FOM could only broadcast 6 onboard cameras live at a time back then. Sadly they are unable to predict the future, so they weren’t on Trulli’s onboard at this moment.

I'm with Sutil on this one: If you overtake on the curb, you have to know that the curb ends. Make it stick before that or back off.
Exactly, Sutil's nose was ahead so he implied to get the space and when Truilli came from the outside he should know when to back off and not give full beans on the grass. The fact that he brought the pictures and arguing in Abu Dhabi was kind of pointless imo.
I liked Fernando and Kimi's conversation more

Although you can't really call it "opening lap chaos" and not include Fisichella spinning at Turn 2, more shots of the Kimi/Webber collision, and the Kovalainen/Raikkonen pitlane fire. Also gotta love the way everything just opened up for Rosberg to sail from 6th to 3rd in two corners.
Then add Kamui Kobayashi's incredible debut performance, the high-speed Nakajima crash, Barrichello's puncture, a Webber win, a Kubica podium, and Button's championship win. This race was *wild*.
Like the year before, and the year before and the year after. Brazil is a great track
The whole 2009 season was wild
And without forget the little touch between Kimi and Sutil at the first corner that gave to the ferrari a puncture (that's why we see him goes wide with a big understeer on Alonso's tv cam).
Don't forget to mention Kimi's haircut!

Where did he have enough space exactly? He went on the outside and suddenly after being more than 3/4 behind got pushed on the curb. This curb is extremely slippery

I agree that this was primary Trulli fault.
His mistake was to try it in this corner.
Sutil was direct behind the Ferrari in the Slipstream of the Ferrari.
Without the Ferrari Sutil could drive faster through this corner.
Trulli was thinking he can drive on the outside and Sutil will disappear.
This can not work.
Sutil tried to let Trulli some space, Trulli let an Gap to Sutil and so he was on the curbs where he had "not so much control".
Thats the problem.
PS. May be Trulli was even to fast to keep in Track.
@@SuperBehel yeah, you can even see Sutil pulling a bit to the left, giving him space (NO, you don't have to let him pass, it's racing after all so you're entitled to fight for the position, bo nowhere did he push him off the track), but it's 100% like he said, Trulli just keeps his foot floored and I don't know how bad of a racing driver you have to be to think you could make that stick with an unsettled car on the kerb...

I watched it on F1TV and it was much better race than 2008 just there wasn't that great championship battle to pump the emotions
An underrated weekend even. Qualifying was exciting too, taking 3.5 hours due to rain and crashes and both title contenders qualified well outside the top 10.
There are so many underrated races in F1
Best part is Kimi adjusting his sunglasses and joking with Alonso

Post this entire race... it’s one of the most fascinating, fast-paced, intense GP’s I’ve ever watched!!! Amazing storylines & performances all over the grid.
Possibly Hamilton's most underrated performance, 17th to 3rd.

A driver asking for space on the outside when he's not clearly ahead is like a hunter asking for a duck to stand still while they shoot.
You don't have to be ahead to be given space though, the rules say a substantial amount aka half a cars length

Well before that it was Murray Walker so he would have been shouting as well. But this was the still excellent Martin Brundle on analysis and lead commentator Jonathan Legard. A man with a rare ability to make exciting things seem boring.

Avoid talking about drivers YOU don't know much about. Trulli was a very solid driver and after all there must be a reason if he has been in the paddock for so many years and was chosen as a team mate for Alonso during the successful years of Renault.
@@giuseppemaggio5894 He wasn't a bad driver but he achieved after more than 250 race starts just one win. And Alonso was clearly better at Renault. My favourite italian driver is still Giancarlo Fisichella 👍

Kubica’s only podium that year and final podium for BMW. The 2009 hasn’t been nice to BMW Sauber that year and they only managed to picked up the pace around Spa, probably due to expensive cost and adapting to the new regulations
@@ultra_amz_galaxy In 2008 BMW Sauber stopped developing a potential championship contender car in order to focus on developing the 2009 car which ended up being a shitbox anyway. No wonder they quit the sport

You're way early there, F1 began in 1950 so the 60th will be in 2010, 59th season to be exact.
