Love this! Found your channel months back and I’m working on catching up on all past videos. Nowadays I watch more UA-cam than regular TV and you’re my most watched channel. I have the same main interests I follow on UA-cam and IG: Camping/Bushcraft and everything “old” lol-i.e. history documentaries, treasure hunters (metal detecting & mudlarking) and antiques. 3/4 of what I watch from all of the above comes from the UK-it’s a bit of an obsession. The places you often camp like this one-are majestic and ancient. Here in the US I often bring my metal detector when camping if I can drive my jeep up. Sometimes there’s plenty of surface finds or unmarked ruins too. Considering the UK is thick with thousands of layers of history under your feet, my question is-have you ever found artifacts or other interesting things while camping?
Got to be careful with your drone on Dartmoor they are very strict with you using them because of military bases. I have known people who have had drones mysteriously fail and go down
You all in England crack me up when you talk about below zero being cold. I'm used to Fahrenheit, currently at my house in Celsius it's -13 and it's not even cold yet. Guess it's just what you're used to. Of course I do kind of freak the people out around here cuz I run around all winter in shorts, unless I'm shoveling snow. But I do like your vids.
Absolutely lovely location. Here in Maine, USA it's 14* F, bright sun, blue sky, and a few inches of snow from yesterday's light storm. We're expecting another 2 ft of snow this weekend, and watching this video makes me feel warm and comfy, because you still have so much green grass and NO snow. LOL As always, fun to watch.
I should imagine if Trev and Nath from summit or nothing see this they would be seething with envy with the idyllic windless and rainless time you have had, nice video.lovely camera work 👍
It’s a lovely place I’ve been there a few times... Love the bird song the robins and crows..creates such ambience...there’s something about theses place that gives off a inner calm, the rocks and grassy knolls. Thanks Kent.
Another enjoyable wild camping video Andy. Keep asking for likes and comments at the end, you make great content and deserve the rewards for your enthusiasm.
I saved watching this for just the right moment, what a great little film, i have the urge to go camping again soon but i need it to be warmer, my old bones are not so good in the cold. thanks for the film Andy
Oh my goodness hi Andy I just happened to turn the sun and there you are I can’t wait to see what’s going on. Always a pleasure this is Meg from upstate New York
That's a heck of a drive from Kent to Dartmoor, you must have set off pretty darn early! Looks beautiful there, I was expecting it to be a lot more boggy
Absolutely gorgeous camping spot! I really enjoyed the change of scenery and the walking action! I hope to see more “off location” videos such as this one in the future! Greetings from Québec!
Andy. Thanks for sharing great film footage. I have lived right on the doorstep of Dartmoor all my life and only in the last couple of years started to really appreciate the place. Have been to that breakfast spot of yours tail end of last summer and yes it is absolutely beautiful thanks again Pete
Thank you for this mate 👍🏻 it's an absolute pleasure watching, I'm not jealous, but a little envious 😂 only because I'm not physically able to do such things. But thank you massively for taking me with even if it's through the lens.
That Scenery is Amazing! It Was -8 degrees Fahrenheit this morning!-17 with wind chill factor in Pgh, Pennsylvania! Thanks for taking the time to let us escape our boredom! Keep it Up!
Great to see you back on Dartmoor I really enjoyed this nice and relaxing pluss you had great weather for it. That's a great area but unfortunately too busy with people 😁👍
Hi Andy I really like your channel and your videos are excellent. beautiful landscapes wherever you go, I'm a big fan of yours and I admire you. I watch you here from Brazil hugs and a great week Andy.
Best cinematography yet, you should do this for a living!😉 In all seriousness, this was beautifully filmed and edited. Along with Foresty Forest, you do the best outdoor vids on this site!
This tent literally just got delivered to my home and I'll be taking it up to Dartmoor in a few days time for it's maiden camp! Can't wait! Love your videos mate!
A shame none of those ponies decided to keep you warm! They look as though they could really be helpful in those temps. I can't remember how long I've followed you but it was when you still had a long beard and hair, so a while back. It's always a treat to find you in my mailbox with a new video. So nice to know that you didn't freeze.
Lovely spot. I’ve got a Cloud Peak 2 as well. Excellent tent, I really like mine. Great compromise between strength, weight and cost. Looks like they’ve updated it a bit since I got mine.
I do enjoy your camps and vids when you're away from the woodland (I enjoy the woodland ones too 🥰) but there's something about being more exposed especially Dartmoor, I've only been once and desperately want to go back. You had some fantastic weather. Ya can't beat the leviathan 900. COOL Andy 😎
Thanks Lee, yeah, the 'adventure' vids never do as well but i love getting out there, the woods can sometimes feel a little clostrophobic... nice to see the sky and sunsets / rises.
Cracking video as always…. But that is one of the busiest parts of the moor…! I suggest a hike and camp from close to the military camp near Okehampton. Plenty of parking near to grid SX 596, 922 And when there is no live firing (most of the summer months and weekends) you can go where you like. Oke Tor and Steeperton Tor are remote and quiet.
Yay! My neck o the woods! Haytor is about 8:ish miles away. (From Torbay) It's usually swarming with people, you did well to only see a few! I've been hundreds of times yet never camped and I don't think I've seen the quarry either!
*Andy* DAMM good to see you out & about again bro.! *THANKS* for showing this very cool location to us.! Fricken beautiful.! Ongoing Thanks & Respect for what you share with us from freezing *Idaho USA* *David* .....
Hello, I have another trip with you and the scenery there is very beautiful ... 😃👍
I would gladly move across the ocean to be able to visit Dartmoor every day.
Those fuzzy horses are cute
Looks like a lovely place to hike and pitch a tent ❤️

Thank you for all the beautiful Angels. I know you have to walk back to pick up your camera on each view. 😊
What beautiful water falls/stream; another wonderful one Andy.
I LIKE the sense of enclosure provided by the rock formations and the closely cropped green grass.
I agree James, plus helps if the wind picks up :) I love this place
Thanks Andy for another inspiring video. Wish I were 40 years younger.
Thank you Charles :)
Me too!
What a beautiful and historic area! Thanks for taking us along with you!
Thanks Lynn, youre welcome :)
Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you ! You find the most amazing locations.
That drone shot with the horses was amazing, whole trip looked amazing, really enjoyed this one, cheers.
Thanks very much buddy :) such a lovely place
Got to be careful with your drone on Dartmoor they are very strict with you using them because of military bases. I have known people who have had drones mysteriously fail and go down

"got some chilly nuts"! well Andy, being on the Moor this time of year does have drawbacks. Keeps the views and vids coming.
Lol..
Glad you had calm weather, it makes freezing temps all the more bearable. Thanks for the open vistas. Hike on, mate.
haha, I followed the trail here :) but most woodlands and forests have some level of management on our little island :)
Absolutely lovely location. Here in Maine, USA it's 14* F, bright sun, blue sky, and a few inches of snow from yesterday's light storm. Thank you Deborah, could send me some of that snow please! ;) haha
I have about 8 inches of snow here from a couple of days ago but it's going to get down to -3 tonight.
Air plane in my town this morning
Dartmoor is such an amazing place a lot of interesting scenery.
