    The combo looks great and flows beautifully. My question is about the length of the entire sequence. It's like 8 punches. How practical is it to drill such long combos where in reality after maybe 1-3 shots your opponent will move/counter/angle out, etc.??

    Great video man thanks. Maybe a video on common mistakes when hitting the heavy bag? How to use a double end bag properly? And your opinion on what made rocky marciano so dominant even though people say he had horrible technique? Very interested to hear your thoughts. Thank you

    Hello Coach, as a tall boxer the shoulder plane seems to expose my left torso more. So body right hooks and sometimes body straight rights are getting through. I don't know what to do. I also wonder if you would make a video that details fighting tall tactics. Thank you very much, I enjoy your exceptional videos.

      Bait your opponent with it, and when he goes to take advantage of it, make him pay so he'll be much more cautious to try it again on you, if he does. If he's outclassing you, you could ask him what HE'S seeing because YOU may think you're pov is all good but you can't see his. If he's able to exploit that repeatedly it seems to me you've GOT to ask an outside observer what they see going on with you IRL. Learning is often a *very humbling experience - that's ok a little humility never killed anyone but a lack of it has - but you can overcome this issue! "Perfect practice makes perfect." :)

    What's funny is after he throws the hook uppercut cross hook there would be no further weave for a counter because that's a automatic knockout.

  • @ibuprofen303
    @ibuprofen303 5 років тому +1

    I notice all the hooks are vertical, although in my gym they discourage this and say you must throw horizontal (palm down). Can anyone comment on this?

      ibuprofen303 look at the position of Mike Tyson’s hand at the 2:04 Mark. It’s vertical. I would like if someone could show me a left hook that scores a KO with the palm down. I think its BS!

    • @WorldClassBoxingChannel
      @WorldClassBoxingChannel  5 років тому +2

      ibuprofen303 I clearly believe in thumb up! I wish these palm down believers could show me a knockout hook with palm down! If you find one let me know.

    • @WorldClassBoxingChannel
      @WorldClassBoxingChannel  5 років тому +2

      ibuprofen303 I think it’s crazy throwing palm down! It limits power, reach, speed and impinges the elbow and shoulder joint as well.

    • @WorldClassBoxingChannel
      @WorldClassBoxingChannel  5 років тому +2

      ibuprofen303 I trained the great Roy Jones and he had one of the greatest left hooks ever and it was always thumb up.

    Really nice series of weekly drills thank you couch but there is something puzzles me in real fight I see it's hard to thrown all these punches (this drill) because the opponent will not be stand and watch what's your opinion?

    • @understandboxing3839
      @understandboxing3839 5 років тому +2

      This is for advanced boxers that already have the basics and a solid base. You should try watching the videos about developing a solid boxing base on his channel and work from there. It's not that the person will sit there and allow you to throw all these punches, its the hours and hours of drilling these techiniques that will allow you to perform it in a fight. For example like when coach tom was teaching how to slip a right with a body shot while taking the angle to the left so you can come back with a hook which basically cancles out the persons right hand, thats why he tells you step at an angle.
      Hard to explain but I tried my best, good luck.
