As for the speed controller size…it baffles me…why they would include a small bottom bracket…to small. I welded 4 tabs to the bottom part to fit the controller and used some 1/8 MDF plastic to fit the gap….I used a heat gun to fold the plastic, and cut it to shape to fill in the gap’ you don’t need a welder to do it….you can use screws, and some flat 1/8 x 1/2 inch wide steal stock and crew them in….I tack welded mine to look professional. It looks longer….due to the larger tire size….but Unique.
For the backspacer maybe grind down one side of the washer so that it's flat and put the flat side toward the wire then the one that came with it can be up against the frame so another video where a guy did that with two washers seem to work very well with him same exact issue
I’m wanting to building or get a battery build for me. I’m looking at the QS 273 t3 72v 8000w hub motor 19 inch wheel and street tire and for the Controller: Sabvoton 72200 200 amp controller unlocked I don’t know what kind of 72v battery I need for this or what kind of BMS to do. Speed and range are the most important.
Any chance you could go through your links and update them, most of the eBay listings aren’t available anymore but I see similar listing, just want to make sure I’m getting everything I need. Also all in what’s the build cost. Looking to be under $3k
Hello I know I'm sorry about that but I don't want to just put random links in for Sellers and and parts that I didn't actually buy. But most of the stuff is standard anyway I wouldn't worry too much about it I would get the frame first and then you'll have your specs for everything else As far as the price you're going to be well over 3K if you're going for something with some serious power if you're not worried about speed and power too much you might be okay
I’m 5/7 I had to return the 200mm shock and get a 150mm shock….my bike uses 27.5 tires so it became impossible to get on it so I Measured the eye hole to eye hole…and found a 150mm will lock bad ass….and the travel will not bottom out the frame. It’s much easier to get on it….it looks almost like a Tron motorcycle’ many old schoolers remember that video game’ I’m gonna put bottom, and rim lights on to give it that touch. Mine will be mostly road or dirt trails.
What sized cranks fit on the bottom bracket and do you know or anyone know of anyways to fit pegs instead of pedals I just ordered this same frame I definitely payed more but I can’t really complain

How do you take the rear wheel on and off? Heard I need to disconnect some of the electric cables, got no idea what I'm doing when it comes to electronics. Never seen you do this in the video so missed the most important bit. It's nice to know if the Hub motor broke I would know how to replace it or a basic tier change.
Well if you're just doing a tire change you do not have to disconnect the wiring you can remove the tire from the side of the rim that does not have wiring. If you are changing the hub motor then yes you will need to disconnect the wires that run to the controller, there will be three large wires and usually two plugs.
Well you can install it but you would not be able to put very much power to it's probably not a good idea because this bike is so heavy would probably be better off using it on a regular bicycle frame
@@samjohnson517 well himiway has an ebike called the zebra and it has a 400lb capacity so I thought that just basically changing the frame wouldn't make that much of a difference. Hey guys a question ?? I have Enduro QS273 , battery 72v 52.2 Ah BMS puts out 104 Amps.. my controller is subvoton 72150amps My question is WHAT HAPPENS IF I REPLACE MY CONTROLLER WITH FARDRIVE 72350 AMPS does it give me any benefits torque higher speed and more power??????
Hello I do not think you will see any type of performance increase. Is the 104 amps the burst rating of the battery or the continuous rating? But either way your 72150 can handle it. To get performance boost from that 72350 controller you would have to change out the battery to one that would put out more amps.
I know I'm having problems with that Alibaba link, open up the Alibaba app and search for a seller called Ncycle, it is not something you can just add to the cart you have to contact them and customize it like this: it is the 5000w kit, you will need to specify 3.5 turn motor and upgrade the controller from 100 to 150 amp, add a 19 inch front motorcycle wheel (the rear wheel is also a 19 inch motorcycle wheel. ) Tell them to keep the brakes the ones in the kit are not hydraulic.

hello Cole, I know it is confusing my motor is a 205mm 5,000 Watt, which means it is rated to run at 5,000 Watts continuously, however I send 12,000 Watts through mine for brief periods of time, speed runs etc. With no issues. Most motor manufacturers have two ratings, continuous and burst or max .
As far as which one to get that's up to you , I believe the 12,000 W you' are referring to is the 273mm. If you are planning to use a large enough battery so the larger motor can take advantage of it and/or high speed 65 to 70 mph on a "continuous" basis maybe the larger motor is for you. Note that there are different turn motors mine is at 3.5t the higher the turn number the more torque you get but lower top speed.

Gonna do a build video on mine soon’ still waiting on the handle bars and the 7speed shifter….I got lucky and obtained the rear derailleur, and crank from a female MTB I had laying around….my bike will be mostly a road bike…I ended up going with 27.5 inch tires….FYI this frame is able to fit tires all the way to 28 inch….without any special adjustments.
It looks longer….due to the larger tire size….but Unique.
Sounds great man! Can't wait for the video!
For the backspacer maybe grind down one side of the washer so that it's flat and put the flat side toward the wire then the one that came with it can be up against the frame so another video where a guy did that with two washers seem to work very well with him same exact issue
Hello, I have an update video of this bike build and I just ended up leaving them out completely. I'm using the torque arms for spacers.
They should paint or anodize the triple trees?
Yeah probably look better black, although the raw aluminum is not that bad, but these are low quality forks anyway.
I’m wanting to building or get a battery build for me. I’m looking at the QS 273 t3 72v 8000w hub motor 19 inch wheel and street tire and for the Controller: Sabvoton 72200 200 amp controller unlocked
I don’t know what kind of 72v battery I need for this or what kind of BMS to do.
But most of the stuff is standard anyway I wouldn't worry too much about it I would get the frame first and then you'll have your specs for everything else
As far as the price you're going to be well over 3K if you're going for something with some serious power if you're not worried about speed and power too much you might be okay
My only concern is that controller not getting enough cold air inside the frame, I think I'll try just fabrication widen the box on front down tube
Yes I have the same concern check this video out made some modifications and did some heat testing

Please somebody tell me the size of the rear axle. Mine straight snapped. Don't know why. But I need a replacement. I could use some help.
Hello the axle it's kind of an oval shape so it's 12mm by 16mm
I’m 5/7 I had to return the 200mm shock and get a 150mm shock….my bike uses 27.5 tires so it became impossible to get on it so I Measured the eye hole to eye hole…and found a 150mm will lock bad ass….and the travel will not bottom out the frame.
It’s much easier to get on it….it looks almost like a Tron motorcycle’ many old schoolers remember that video game’ I’m gonna put bottom, and rim lights on to give it that touch.
Mine will be mostly road or dirt trails.
Where can I buy the plastic box for under the frame? I've a frame but not that part

Hello, I am using 19 inch motorcycle wheels, try this link

How do you take the rear wheel on and off?
Heard I need to disconnect some of the electric cables, got no idea what I'm doing when it comes to electronics. Never seen you do this in the video so missed the most important bit.
It's nice to know if the Hub motor broke I would know how to replace it or a basic tier change.
Well if you're just doing a tire change you do not have to disconnect the wiring you can remove the tire from the side of the rim that does not have wiring. If you are changing the hub motor then yes you will need to disconnect the wires that run to the controller, there will be three large wires and usually two plugs.
@@samjohnson517 okay thanks for that I'll bear in mind for future
Would a 750w motor be enough
Well you can install it but you would not be able to put very much power to it's probably not a good idea because this bike is so heavy would probably be better off using it on a regular bicycle frame
@@samjohnson517 well himiway has an ebike called the zebra and it has a 400lb capacity so I thought that just basically changing the frame wouldn't make that much of a difference. If you were to have a pretty similar build to yours how fast do you think it would be a 750? Maybe if you overvolted it? I don't need a speed demon just something that goes like 30 or 20
@@xPRINCEOFDEATH yeah you might be able to get it to 30 but that little motor is going to get hot especially uphill but you're probably be helping it with the pedals anyway.

can i use 29" wheels with this frame
Most are Up to 27.5 but ask the shop that you're buying it from, personally I would not use bicycle wheels they're too weak and will have to use bicycle tires which means flats which are a pain to fix on this bike

looks so fun im building one! for the rear shock absorber would it help to use 210mm or 220mm since im 6'9 ?

We're gonna look back at videos like this in the future and laugh about how primitive this was. Electric vehicles are going to go to the next level.
@@samjohnson517 so the battery is the bottleneck ???
I guess it's more of the thing that's holding the system back by not feeding enough power. However there is absolutely nothing wrong with a 100 amps!
I want the exact wheels ,motor, controller ect. Link in description does not work. Please help

Yes, just a side note in my later videos I ended up leaving out those washers completely and just using the torque arms themselves for spacers.
Is there a way to change the rear tire without having to unwire the rear motor?

As far as which one to get that's up to you , I believe the 12,000 W you' are referring to is the 273mm. If you are planning to use a large enough battery so the larger motor can take advantage of it and/or high speed 65 to 70 mph on a "continuous" basis maybe the larger motor is for you.
