Let me put this argument to rest once and for all…his name was pronounced “Morris.” It was spelled Maurice and phonetically it should sound like “Moreese,” but that is not how the Gibbs chose to pronounce it.
So very said to not only lose a band mate but a brother. What a tragedy. The Bee Gees in my opinion were one of the best bands of all time. Their talent for song writing and harmonies were just wonderful they will never be replaced.
Maurice was soooo talented! His falsetto vocals on Nights on Broadway is brilliant, as was his ability to find the best line of harmony in a song. He played several instruments "by ear" and was very funny. RIP Maurice..
@@FactsVerse Robins, "I Started a Joke" is my all time favourite. But let's be honest? The BG's are simply fantastic through and through! All the tracks from Saturday Night Fever...... hang on! They're all my favourites! 😂🤣😂👍🏽

Well, there are plenty of videos of the Bee Gees lip-synching (or miming) on UA-cam because that was simply how things were done on most , if not all, television variety shows back in the day. It may still be done for TV but there really aren't many variety shows left. This would not have been their choice but it certainly would have been what they expected. It was done for a number of reasons having nothing to do with an act's abilities but rather time, consistency and other production matters. One of the reasons "The Midnight Special" was such a big deal when it came along was that all performances really were "Live". The Bee Gees always did sound great when they performed on that show and at their concerts. It was just a fact of the entertainment business that if you wanted to promote your new single or album on a show with any kind of an audience, you were going to have to lip-sync. They were amazing, indeed, for always sounding as good live as on their records which was very much not the case with many of their contemporaries. I went to some concerts that would have been tough to endure had I not been high.
Yes, of course! I love Maurice too, but I always had eyes on Barry. He is nice and sexy.🤣😀🇯🇲🙏🏾💐❤️When I listen to their song, “Massachusetts,” I play it non-stop and when I watch the video, I cannot help looking intently at Robin and observing his unique voice and style. I guess they were unique in their own ways. God bless them! Although three brothers passed, isn’t wonderful they are alive in our hearts.?🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I was lucky to meet Mo and his family at Walt Disney World when his kids were pre-teen. He and his wife were very nice and even remembered us hours later when we ran into them again. Such a sad loss.
The BeeGees had several hit songs in the 1960's and to say they only became well known after Saturday Night Fever ignores the dozens of songs they had on the radio during the previous 15 years. They also had a lot of hits sung by other people such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
All of them 🤪. But if I was to choose one it would probably be heart like mine from size isn't everything. Beautiful song if you know it. If not, then LISTEN TO IT.
@@FactsVerse I would say my favorite would be I Started a Joke which was sung by Robin. Early on, Barry did not do as much lead singing and the falsetto was not so prominent.
@@HRConsultant_Jeff Correct, early on more 3 part harmony as I remember. "I Started A Joke", is one of the most sad songs. It makes me want to cry, especially the end.

I always thought of the Bee Gees as a POP group, they just happened to have their biggest hits during the Disco era, but they were still very much a Pop band. All the Gibb brothers are legends, including Andy. Blessings to all of them, especially Barry.
@ Ciclopea2 I agree, I consider them to be a "POP" Group as well. But didn' t this video say in 1997 they were inducted into the "Rock n Roll" Hall Of Fame? That would be in Ohio,--- Canton???? If there is a "Country Hall Of Fame" that must be in Nashville, TN. So where is the "Pop Music Hall Of Fame"? Is there one?
@@L.M.O. People like Whitney Houston and Notorious B.I.G have also been inducted into the "Rock n Roll" Hall Of Fame, as you may know Dolly Parton recently declined being inducted. Not sure there's a "Pop Music Hall Of Fame" but if there was one maybe Whitney and the Bee Gees would belong there, and Biggie probably would've liked being a part of the "Hip Hop Hall Of fame", not sure if there's one either.
@@L.M.O. I am unaware of any division of types of music when it comes to catagorical appreciation, I just appreciate it all in its varying degrees. He died from complications of a twisted intestine. It was missed by doctors and because of the delay he died. The heart attack was the complication, not the reason.
True. Info in this video differs from news articles after his death, which, as I recall, reported he was not properly diagnosed, left untreated, intestine ruptured, then emergency surgery & heart attack caused by massive release of bacteria; & life- saving equipment being too distant. Sadly, Fate had its own plans for Mo.
@@lawrencemunroe6798 I understand Yvonne [Mo's widow] opted for a confidential negotiated settlement, instead of taking the case to court. Barry & Robin (as surviving BeeGees & Mo's brothers) respected Yvonne's wish for privacy & deferred to her. The brothers themselves received nothing as the result of Mo's death.
You cannot put the Bee Gees into any one category. They could play them all. And they did so from 1958 through early 2000s. The Beatles couldn't even keep it together for 8 years (1962 - 1970). They wrote some good ones for sure, but nothing close to the quality of the Bee Gees whose lyrics are among the most beautiful ever written, and whose harmonies are better than any other singers. And the sheer volume of their catalog of songs. The Bee Gees deserve the top spot now and forever, and did not get the credit they deserved. Tragic new details? You didn't say one thing that Bee Gees fans didn't already know and have known all along.
loved their songs ,not the disco stuff, but the beatles changed the history of music my fave songs IMMORTALITY, how can you mend a broken heart , words , you win again so many more
Barry is strong but you know it’s hard for him to keep performing. Being a member of a group then suddenly being alone. You know Barry misses his brothers everyday. I hope Barry does well. Barry has his brothers children singing and touring with him now!! That must help him a lot!
It is always hard when someone that close to die, a part of you dies as well. All their lives at age 6 yrs n 9 yrs, they sang together n went around the world. After Mo's death Robin aged quickly. Everything went down the hill. I love 1997 Vegas one night only concert. They looked great in that DVD.
Morris said Barry was a very warm and compassionate brother. Barry said Morris was special but that Robin competed with him all his life until the day he died
@@gloriabowie5629 that is a lie! Robin adored Maurice, they never competed, they worked together beautifully, this is just another comment by Barry meant to attempt to ruin Robin’s memory.
I was a sophomore in high school in the mid to late 60s. The Bee Gees had many GREAT top-10 pop hits, then, long before disco music ever came along. They adapted/ re-invented their sound in the disco era, & their career saw a resurgence, to a new generation. My generation, the "baby boomers" were so lucky, we got to appreciate & love them in TWO eras 🙂 . They were one of a kind, & it's going to be a very sad feeling when Barry's gone; another piece of my life will be gone, too..."the day the music died."
Makes it harder to accept when this death was totally preventable! They should have sued.. complete negligence ! RIP Maurice … a wonderful man and brother !
I did manage one back in the early 90s I think it was, in Perth WA where I live. They were at the Entertainment Centre then but it was pulled down years later as the seating was badly placed in certain areas such as at the side where you couldn't see the stage properly. Most of the time they didn't use those seats because of that. They built the Optus Stadium in its place. I think the concert I saw was the Australia One for All '89. I have it on DVD for a good job as I can only remember bits of the actual concert now. It was $20 for a program which was quite dear then. I got tickets for I and my daughter for Barry's concert doing his Oz tour after his brothers had gone, actually got them in the post, but it was then cancelled due to it was said, his manager getting him too much work and with Perth being so much further away then the other states. They said it wouldn't be rescheduled. We had our money back in 2wks, even the insurance money of nearly $8 for the tickets which it said in the rules that you don't get back, not even for a cancellation. Whether they didn't know or decided to take pity on us I don't know. This was with Ticket Master or TickeTek as I forget which. I still have the tickets filed away for the show that I didn't get to go to! We paid over $200 for them as we wanted really good seats. Artistes usually try to reschedule as they don't like to disappoint fans. He was early 70s I think then. (coming up for 76yrs on Sept 1st as I am on Aug 4th. Ah well. Don't suppose he will get to Perth now. I can't go over to the other states either, which is what people would have to try and do with the cancellation.
No matter how good the Dr.s, nurses, or anyone else thinks the person is doing, it is up to only one ............ They were a great band, this was during my teenage years so of course we were all in love with them. RIP
Maurice's wife needed to persue the court action. Not to collect $$$ from Maurice's death, but to ensure there is a crash cart on each floor. Its not all about money, but making things better for others that need to be in hospital. This could save other peoples lives and also be continuous improvement for the hospital.
So tragic, but the real V.I P. Room at any Hospital, is the closer to the Emergency Room, Equipment, and trained personal, the more V.I.P. that room is. At Intensive Care, there is a certified Intensive Care Nurse in front of each and every patient. Why a condition like the one he had was not considered for Intensive Care is a question I have, He could be with His Family today . . . So sad.

"Analyzing medical death rate data over an eight-year period, Johns Hopkins patient safety experts have calculated that more than 250,000 deaths per year are due to medical error in the U.S."! So, yes; his death could have been prevented.
The hospital was at fault. If the surgery had been successful his intestines would not have burst afterward. Very sad. Gone too soon. Best group band in history because of their working together longer than anyone else.
This is completely wrong. He had the heart attack prior to the surgery. Eighty percent of his digestive system was removed, nothing to burst. The problem was that his condition required immediate intervention and didn’t get it. He was admitted in the early evening and was to bee seen by a specialist the next morning. The heart attack in the middle of the night was a sign that his situation was becoming critical.
That's not the only thing they got wrong. Mo had a cardiac arrest before surgery from the blockage in his intestines which compromised his circulatory system (cardiogenic shock). At that point they had to do surgery although his cardiac status was unstable because he would have died anyway. By then it was a no win situation. The brothers said in an interview the next day that it was "questionable" that they did surgery during a heart attack. They had to. He wouldn't have died if they diagnosed him correctly sooner. Malpractice or they would not have settled out of court.
His death is eerily similar to someone I know who died from very similar mistakes by the hospital. My mom used to say, "doctors bury THEIR mistakes". She died at the hands of doctors years after saying that. Many hospitals are mere money grubbing operations.
I think Maurices' death could have totally been avoided! This is so sad. I grew up with the Bee Gees - the best band ever! There will never be other's like them. 🙂

@@kathyharmon2093 - Every hospital floor has a crash cart and I think it's BS that staff didn't get to him for 10 minutes. Staff CAN stay with a patient on a 1 to 1 basis 24/7 depending on circumstances, as I did myself many times over the years. The hospital WAS negligent. He was not diagnosed properly and the bowel obstruction affected his cardiac status by blocking the blood flow to the intestine causing a heart attack which occurred before his surgery. His bowel did not rupture after surgery as the video states and during surgery they removed the necrotic (dead) part and did a re-anastomosis. They operated during his cardiac arrest because he would have died anyway. This video is inaccurate in many ways. Malpractice.
Sounds like the hospital and doctors were negligent! It happens a lot and hospitals lawyer up and make families go through a horrid process after losing a loved one. I understand his wife’s decision but I think The Gibbs had a very good case if it had gone to trial! I miss them so much!

It’s very difficult for everyone, of course the patient who suffers but also the drs who tried to resolve the problem. Accurate diagnosis is tricky. My burst appendix took so long for a diagnosis it formed a big painful mass of adhesions around it. When they saw it finally on the CT they thought it was a huge tumor. My body is smarter than about 12 drs who were sure it was nothing serious.
Absolutely. I lost my father a few months ago to negligent hospital treatment. I know what they went through. There’s no closure or answers asking yourself “did they suffer” “what was their last moments like?” All this goes through your mind when a loved one suffers an unnatural and sudden death. It’s a living hell without any closure or answers. I have to pursue a case against the hospital if only to get answers. My father deserves justice and every day that goes by I don’t feel hurt and robbed by the actions of the hospital that were supposed to be proving care! I couldn’t even be there in his last moments they even denied me of that moral right and that hurts more than anything. I would not wish this on my worse enemy

OMG!!! That poor man!!! I had constricted intestinal hernia. Seriously painful! Spent a week in critical care . By proxy he should be in heaven after suffering so much leaving this world . May peace and love be his and those who love him so ❤️❤️❤️as well as young Andy Gibb
A constricted intestinal hernia isn't the same thing but both are agonizingly painful. Mo had a volvulus where the bowel twisted on itself. The source is congenital (they often have an extra loop of bowel) but sometimes doesn't appear until adulthood. Robin had the same thing a couple of years later and his was almost missed as well. It was only because of his twin's death that his was recognized. An intestinal hernia occurs when the bowel protrudes through a weak abdominal muscle and gets pinched. Glad you recovered and sorry for your suffering (and his). Mo's death was malpractice. If diagnosed properly he could have been alive today.
This must be a new record for how many times someone has pronounced Maurice's name wrong... HE pronounced it Morris, which you would have known if you had ever seen any interview with them.

Barry’s younger brothers dying first has always been our concern. However, does it matter who dies first and would we not all still feel the same? It is a blessing knowing they are alive in our hearts. ❤️❤️❤️
Of course, I totally understand your comment. I suppose when we learned that the twins died before the older brother, we all arrived at the same conclusion. However, I am merely suggesting that irrespective of which brother dies first, the order of their deaths would not diminish our emotions because we love them all. You bet we all feel sorry for Barry. I am confident he feels he was the one to go first. We cannot misunderstand each other because we are thinking alike.🙏🏾👍🏽❤️
My aunt had the same surgery with a very talented surgeon she was older and she went through it brilliantly and got completely healed he saved her life what quack operated on him!!
@@kathyharmon2093 - Mo's volvulus was a congenital condition and it had nothing to do with his alcoholism from which he recovered well over a decade before. None of the Gibbs except Andy used the very dangerous drugs like cocaine or heroine. They did briefly use amphetamines (which were legal and readily prescribed at the time by physicians) in order to pull all nighters for concerts and composing. In fact, most performers at that time used amphetamines. My doctor prescribed them for me because I did 12 hour night shifts in a hospital but they made me so jumpy that I threw them out after a week. Doctors also prescribed them as a weight loss pill. BTW, amphetamines are NOT "meth" as some people try to say. Dexadrine and benzadrine are not meth but can be very addicting to some people. One thing against Mo was he was still a smoker whereas Robin and Barry both quit cigarettes long before. The surgeon likely wasn't a quack but whoever failed to diagnose him in the first place was. It should have been an easy condition to diagnose.
Thinking more about how he beat his addictions before he left the planet, and that was amazing, and helped his family have better memories of the real Maurice. I agree with his wife's decision.
First of all, how can I truly trust this when you don’t even know his name! My ears cringe every time you say it. Maurice became my favorite Bee Gee over time. What a fun guy to e around I’m sure.
There is actually nothing new here regarding Maurice's death. His initial emergency was a congenital twisted intestine which was followed by a fatal heart attack during recovery. The fact that the equipment needed to help save Maurice was not immediately available is something that is questionable and hopefully the hospital made the necessary changes.
The heart attack occurred due to impaired blood supply caused by the twisted bowel. The heart attack came first (he did have preexisting 60% blockage of his cardiac arteries on post mortem) and they had to rush him to surgery in critical condition. By that time it was almost a no win situation. All floors have "crash carts" for cardiac arrests which are immediately available! I can assure you there was likely no 10 minute delay. The combination of misdiagnosis, the delayed surgery and surgical intervention while in cardiac compromise resulted in his death. His death was due to misdiagnosis. We all die of "cardiac arrest" whether we're shot, hit by a bus or have a heart attack. His second fatal cardiac arrest was due to his coronary and cardiogenic shock and also possibly septic shock from the bowel blockage. What the brothers said was "questionable" was taking him to surgery during a cardiac arrest. They had no choice.
@@susieq9801 I remember very well an interview in which Robin said there was no crash cart on the floor where Maurice was recovering which caused a delay in getting help during the cardiac arrest. What you are saying would seem to contradict what Robin himself said. Just curious: where did you get all this info from?
@@vampyre4me - Be curious no longer. I was a Registered Nurse in ICU and the ER for 40 years and was a resuscitation nurse who answered cardiac arrest calls. Crash carts were mandatory on EVERY floor of the hospital, even floors like maternity where arrests seldom occur. Meanwhile, before I and any available MD's would arrive, the floor staff themselves would not stand around wringing their hands but would commence resuscitation procedures themselves. The only reason for myself or MD's to attend was to direct the resuscitation via drugs and other advanced procedures of which only they were capable. Any available MD as well as the ER MD (who was always in house) attend immediately, on the run. I am contradicting Robin but we must remember he never was a medical professional and when in a distraught state family look for any avenue to find someone to blame. My heart bleeds for the loss of his twin. Both Barry and Robin also said it was "questionable" taking him to surgery post cardiac arrest. That means his coronary occurred before surgery. The problem was they did not realize there was no other choice. Maurice's post mortem indicated he did have preexisting cardiac arterial compromise. His post surgical arrest was due to his body's systemic failure. The body cannot tolerate such a massive assault. The bowel did not rupture post operatively either because he had a jejunostomy.
@@susieq9801 thank you for that. I figured you must have a medical background but I still am curious how you know so much about the chain of events. Are you putting 2 an 2 together or were you actually there? 😉 You have referred to an autopsy report more than once as well - was that made public? I'm not attacking you honestly? Just genuinely curious where you learned all this.
@@vampyre4me - No problem. Thank God I was not there. For anyone who had been, giving details would be a breach of confidentiality. Some information about his death, like the 60% coronary arterial blockage, was apparently made public (I don't know if by the family or the hospital). I did see that info in several places and know it was in newspapers at the time, like the Florida Sun Sentinel. Re the sequence of events, as you said yourself, Barry and Robin were interviewed the next day. With Robin present Barry said, his exact words, "It was questionable that they had to operate during the shock of cardiac arrest". That meant the cardiac arrest was prior to surgery. The bowel obstruction must have reached a critical state or they would not have operated under those horrendous conditions. The problem is he should have been diagnosed in time but was not. When the bowel twists the circulation to it is blocked. The bowel is quite vascular so blood was trapped causing death of the bowel and cardiogenic shock which has the same effect as a hemorrhage. The blood is there but taken out of circulation. Pain could also have been a factor in his arrest. Poor Mo must have had excruciating pain. I just think it sucks that he was misdiagnosed. The condition could have been hinted at by auscultation of bowel sounds (or lack of them), rigidity of the abdomen and the severe pain and he could have had a CT or other diagnostic imaging or even exploratory surgery. Mo's loss was tragic and unnecessary. If it can be considered that anything good came of it, he saved his twin's life when they realized Robin had the same thing in 2010.
I remember seeing this information on the news! It was horrible and an amazing loss in the world of music! RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!🫶

Barry also said that Mo knew for a few weeks leading up to the event, that something wasn’t quite right. What a shame he didn’t seek advice sooner. A horrible way to go but to be honest, after the heart attack and without most of his intestine, if he had survived he would have been severely incapacitated.
@@isabellabourchier3498 - Hi - I mentioned here in several responses that his cardiac arrest came first (according to medical records) and was due to the bowel blockage cutting off the blood flow. That stressed his heart (cardiogenic shock) causing a coronary. He did have 60% coronary arterial blockage already. At that point they had to operate or he would die but operating on someone in cardiac compromise is pretty much doomed. As you said, like Robin avoiding his diagnosis, Mo likely avoided doctors. Also disgusting that he wasn't diagnosed immediately. Not hard to detect a bowel obstruction.
@@susieq9801 Yes, his heart was probably under stress even before he got to the hospital, goodness knows how long he had been putting off getting help and the level of arteriosclerosis pretty much meant that recovery even at the point before he was taken to surgery was highly unlikely. After surgery with so little of his insides left, sorry to say it, he was better off not having to go through an attempt to live with the catastrophic impact on his body. Anyway, the brain damage caused meant no way back. Also sadly, that generation of men, especially in the UK, my father being one of them, just didn’t go to the doctors. They didn’t talk about things that were wrong with them. Sadly expectation was for them to be tough. Thankfully now they talk about things and seek help. Definitely disgusted like you that he wasn’t diagnosed when he first presented. The pain that he must have gone through and the fear too! God love him, he didn’t deserve that.
@@isabellabourchier3498 - I get so disgusted with erroneous reports and false narratives. Everyone is a doctor! One person blamed it on his drinking. His defect was congenital. Sure, blame poor Mo. As well, EVERY floor of a hospital has a crash cart for cardiac arrests. A 10 minute delay is BS. A "Code Blue" immediately is called overhead and doctors rush to the scene to help the staff on the floor who are already doing their thing. If he had had routine checkups with stress tests they could have detected the heart issue and done a bypass, a common procedure now, so when the bowel issue arose he likely would have recovered from the surgery even if it had ruptured and it did NOT rupture after surgery like the video said. WTF?
Having suffered gallbladder surgery with a rupture 4 days post op I understand the horrible pain that Maurice endured. I developed endocarditis and nearly died. Maurice should have been monitored much more closely. So sad to have lost him because of something that could have been treated on time.
Since l have minimal trust in the medical profession, it's easy for me to believe that his death was preventable. I've seen and heard too many stories of negligence or incompetence.
Especially Florida hospitals! My cousin was admitted for severe pain and after many tests was told they didn’t know the cause and was told to see her primary care physician…she had shingles!!!
There are many preventable deaths. But when it’s your time to go, regardless of whether or not something went wrong, it’s your time to go. RIP Maurice Gibb. ❤️🙏
So...by that reasoning if someone shoots you while you're out for a walk, why bother searching for the perpetrator and bringing him to justice and trying him in court? It was just your time. Case closed. How incredibly stupid.
@@dashriprock8596 I will preface my remarks by saying that I went to law school. Years ago, my mother went to a nursing home to recuperate after open heart surgery. She was only to spend 3-4 weeks there for physical therapy. I placed her in a nursing home close to my home and job so that I could eat lunch with her by walking over from my job at lunchtime and then visiting after work until visiting hours ended. I also spent all day on the weekends until visiting hour were over. Nevertheless, my mother developed a pressure sore or "bed sore" the size of a golf ball. I also discovered that unless I fed my mother, she was not being fed although her chart had doctor's orders for her to receive assistance with feeding. The bed sore was concealed from me and there was an attempt to prevent me from taking my mother out of the facility when I noticed her deterioration. They even tried to get me to sign her in as a permanent resident of the nursing home. I finally got her back to the hospital where the bed sore was detected. By then it was infected. My mother died after one week in the hospital, having spent only 3 weeks in the nursing home. I sued the nursing home for neglect and won. Pressure sores can be prevented if the patient is turned every 2-4 hours. Staff turned my mother while I was there but not overnight when I could not be present. Also, she received little nutrition since she was not being fed properly and that compromised her skin as well. So ultimately, I got justice. But that does not mean it was not my mother's time to go. We cannot all die in our sleep peacefully. Some people are going to die in tragic accidents. Some are going to be killed, etc. There are many ways to die. And if someone is responsible for causing a death, then they must be brought to justice whether in criminal or civil court. They would be the "but-for" cause, which is a legal term. But for the actions of X, Y would not have died. But even in those terms it is by a preponderance of the evidence in civil court or beyond a reasonable doubt in criminal court. But there are instances where the same set of facts did not lead to death and a person survives when ALL EVIDNECE indicates that they should not have survived. So we are not in control over life and death 100%. There are other forces involved. Does that mean we hold no one responsible when they have violated the law. No !!! A death certificate lists "cause of death." There are many causes. A person has cancer and lives while another with the same cancer dies. We cannot determine in advance who will live and who will die. People have tried to commit suicide and lived. Holding people responsible for causing a death is necessary. It is also necessary to realize that death is going to occur some way, somehow, whether we like it or not. PS I think you should not try and use UA-cam as a means of making yourself feel superior to others by putting another person down.. You should not go around calling people stupid when you know nothing about their lives. That makes you stupid.
The Bee Gees gave us great music. Their harmonies are as equal to me as CSN are. I too was as heartbroken as the rest of the world when one by one they started to pass away. I never cared much either that they were labeled as a disco band. They were much more than that. They will always be at the top of my favorite list like The Beatles. 🦋🦋🦋
My baby sister, went to ER with severe pain in her stomach.. the hospital said she needed surgery … after surgery she “never” woke up.. all this happened within 5 days.. 2019 she was 58… so sad/upset when you realize the hospital made mistakes..
It was heartbreaking. Maurice, Robin and Andy gave so much to the world in the short time they were with us. My thoughts remain with Barry and the rest of the family.
Also, if the reporter did his homework, he would have found out that disco is not a type of music and if you had any inkling of the body of their songwriting and their work together or alone, this whole report is insulting. They would not have liked it at all.
There will always be justice in the end, you can bet on the good lord above that will happen. like the Beatles said. Let It Be. RIP Maurice, Robin and Andy. God Bless Barry and All. The lords glory is just around the corner

Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing this! What other types of videos would you like to see on our channel?
Such sincere honest people, you see how tiresome mankind can standing also sing all tens hours! Great people
Well, there are plenty of videos of the Bee Gees lip-synching (or miming) on UA-cam because that was simply how things were done on most , if not all, television variety shows back in the day.
So sad for Robin to lose his sibling. He never got over it . May both be singing in heaven

The BeeGees had several hit songs in the 1960's and to say they only became well known after Saturday Night Fever ignores the dozens of songs they had on the radio during the previous 15 years. They also had a lot of hits sung by other people such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
We strongly concur! There's a lot of great Bee Gees songs but which one is your favorite? 😁

Thank you Doctor Gold.

Trying to sue the hospital would be next to impossible for the average joe ,not suprised they received a settlement .
@@lawrencemunroe6798 I understand Yvonne [Mo's widow] opted for a confidential negotiated settlement, instead of taking the case to court.

One of my biggest regrets in life is that I never got to one of their concerts 😢
NO WHAT YOU MEAN
I tell everyone that my favourite concert in my life was a BeeGees concert.
Mine too! The Eagles, Queen, the Moody Blues, and many more were great. But I would have traded half of them to see the BeeGees in concert!!

And "Morris" just sounds better 😁
Thank you!!!
I know. I wish they would bother to get it right.
Yes, it also bugged me that they didn’t know the proper pronunciation.

You said it perfectly. I so agree with you.

They changed their music with every decade that passed they were absolutely amazing!!! I was born in 1962 I had an older brother that listened to their music so therefore Iam a Bee Gees fan! I also loved Andy too!!! 💖
OMG!!! That poor man!!! I had constricted intestinal hernia. Seriously painful! Spent a week in critical care . By proxy he should be in heaven after suffering so much leaving this world . May peace and love be his and those who love him so ❤️❤️❤️as well as young Andy Gibb
Thank you for sharing your life story and your message for Maurice and Andy Gibb! What is your favorite Bee Gees song?
He's definitely in heaven.
I didn’t know the full story of his death. A very talented musician, songwriter and band member. Gone but his work will live on forever.
This must be a new record for how many times someone has pronounced Maurice's name wrong... HE pronounced it Morris, which you would have known if you had ever seen any interview with them.
Hello Robin how are you doing today
Exactly. It's a respect thing.
@@elisebarthalow6075 Where are you from?
Actually, it's Mar-iss, but Morris would be a big improvement.

I feel sorry for Barry. First to arrives and yet has to watch his brothers die in the reverse order
Your right....they died in reverse order that they were born.
Birth: Robin, Maurice, Andy
Death: Andy, Maurice,Robin
It's just so sad that they are gone!
Best group to grace the music world and can NEVER be DUPLICATED.
Maurice was always the man in the middle...even in death.
Barry’s younger brothers dying first has always been our concern. However, does it matter who dies first and would we not all still feel the same? It is a blessing knowing they are alive in our hearts. ❤️❤️❤️
@@yvonnesookdeo5358 I think you do not understand my comment
Of course, I totally understand your comment. I suppose when we learned that the twins died before the older brother, we all arrived at the same conclusion. However, I am merely suggesting that irrespective of which brother dies first, the order of their deaths would not diminish our emotions because we love them all. You bet we all feel sorry for Barry. I am confident he feels he was the one to go first. We cannot misunderstand each other because we are thinking alike.🙏🏾👍🏽❤️
Barry, was SECOND to arrive, the four brothers have an elder sister Lesley who is still alive.
My aunt had the same surgery with a very talented surgeon she was older and she went through it brilliantly and got completely healed he saved her life what quack operated on him!!
Doesn’t mean the surgeon was a quack, no one can do drugs and alcohol and expect that it had no effect anywhere in their body
@Cheryl Baker - The surgeon wasn't a quack but the attending physician who failed to diagnose him in time was, as I explained in my comment to Kathy.
Maurice's death was preventable and tragic!

First of all, how can I truly trust this when you don’t even know his name! My ears cringe every time you say it. Maurice became my favorite Bee Gee over time. What a fun guy to e around I’m sure.
All I can say is that I laughed about them in my youth. But nowadays I really respect them. Those guys were great 👍
The Bee Gees, one of the greatest Bands and I have never considered them a disco band. They were a band who accomplished so much more.
RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!🫶
This group wrote their own music! And the hundreds of not-so-well-known songs are the best! The disco image was really incidental...the music they wrote for the movie had been penned long before the movie ever came to be....Try songs like "Saw A New Morning" "Omega Man" " I Am The World" "Sing Slowly Sister" "Juliet" "For Whom The Bell Tolls" "You Win Again", "Lamplight" "I Still Love You" and their first big hit "Spicks and Specks" .And Robin's "My Life Has Been a Song" ...also Robin's heartbreaker: "I Started A Joke"..so many others that are not well-known and are not disco.....Each song is different and beautiful! BTW, it's not "Mau-reece", but Morris...They produced and performed excellent music for 40 years!!!They were so very special...

Thought Maurice died during the surgery due to cardiac arrest! I still remember Robin and Barry so devastated! They said at the time it was totally preventable 💔🙏💔
Efectivamente!!!
Siempre se dijo, que había sufrido un infarto durante la operación.
Mou era muy risueño.
Me sigue hiriendo su partida.
Su sonrisa era tan sincera.
@@susieq9801 Yes, his heart was probably under stress even before he got to the hospital, goodness knows how long he had been putting off getting help and the level of arteriosclerosis
pretty much meant that recovery even at the point before he was taken to surgery was highly unlikely.
