That is brilliant, been waiting along time to get to hear this beast on its own. This thing was an animal with 620 hp and a rev limit of 9600 rpm from a 351 well that is just super impressive for 1970. Thanks for the upload its pure gold.
+wrxelectra Not a problem at all, glad you liked it (who wouldn't, right? haha)...the video really doesn't give it true justice...! My hand on the camera was shaking from the vibrations through the floor and running up through me....epic stuff!
I believe you when you say the sound on here doesnt do it justice. Wish i could have been there. Funny thing is last week I met Allan Moffat at his old garage in Malvern by accident and was talking to him about his Mustang and this beast. They are amazing machines.
+wrxelectra Funny you mention the Moffstang....haha...check this out...here it is being started up...Mr Moffatt himself at the wheel... ua-cam.com/video/A6Qvw_pC5kE/v-deo.html Same venue - the annual Pacific Ford Total Performance Car Show, but a few years prior (hope this link works in the comments) I met Allan Moffatt on this same day too - was great to meet this legend of the sport, and his amazing machine. My own car has been lucky enough to be parked near this beast, at the 'Bowdens Shed' one day..it felt a little bit special lol...
+wrxelectra ...and here's another, at the same Car Show, different year, different car. 2013 - the famous (1-2 1977 Bathurst finish) #2 Falcon Hardtop, again with Dan Bowden at the wheel, starting her up. ua-cam.com/video/ewOqLf__7mw/v-deo.html
+wrxelectra ... but wait, theres more! haha... ua-cam.com/video/mNnggLB-ZqY/v-deo.html Dick Johnsons gorgeous #17 1981 'Tru-Blu' XD Falcon , fired up at Lakeside Raceway, in early 2014. Later we got to see DJ himself throw her around Lakeside...alongside the 'Red Rocket' Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500, Chris Bowden at the wheel. My god, it was epic to watch - the great mans (Dick Johnson) still got it, for sure! haha - Chris was having a hell of a lot of fun too, in the little red machine out there. We knew Tru Blu was going to be there, but Bowdens surprised us by bringing in the little red beast, too!
Beautiful car love the sound
