Very good tutorial. I’m a dental student and recently thought about dental grills. In dentistry we often have to deal with so called undercuts, which can prevent certain dental works from entering on the tooth or preventing from easy removal. Does anyone know if it is needed to block undercuts? In order for the grill to fit and to take it out easily
I’m a dental technician student and I’m wondering this? Surely u have to survey the model and use blocking out wax for the undercuts? The same way we do for chrome dentures?

Yes u need to block out the undercuts then duplicate refractory model to make a master model ..
Id block out some undercuts but you still want some to hold it in place but not too many to where you cant get it on n off. Imagine it like a night guard n youll be fine
