I live in Spokane and fly fish the Spokane river quite a bit but I think I will go try the Yakima next week, I’m fairly new to all of this and I’m not sure if it is a good time of year
Welcome to the sport! The Yakima River can fish really well this time of year, but it’s super high and fast so as to irrigate farmland. So just be super careful! Stop by Red’s‘s fly shop to get some great advice on spots to safely wade.
