  • Hi, friends!
    In today’s video, I will do a flip through of my completed Traveler’s Company Traveler’s Diner insert that I recently completed. I’ve been chipping away at this insert for almost a year, and I’m excited to take a look through it as well as set up the next insert that I’ll be using.
    I’d love to know how you use your Traveler’s Notebook, if you have one. If you are into memory keeping / scrapbooking, what are you currently using as your notebook?
    If you have any feedback or requests for future videos, please let me know! Thanks for being here; I appreciate you! 💗

    I love the Traveler's Company aesthetic so much. I just wish I could make that long skinny layout work for me. If they ever come out with a B6 size I will be buying all the things. TFS!

      I know what you mean - they have really nailed the aesthetic, and I can't help but fall in love with it! It really goes aways my desire to minimize my stationery. I want everything they release! A B6 size would be so great!!

      Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment! 💖 I had a lot of fun putting this together, and I’m excited to keep it going in a low-key / low-pressure way. I love my hobonichi bound books so much, but I think I prefer my TNs for this type of memory keeping / scrapbooking. 🥲

    Thank you for sharing such wonderful memories with us 😊 I had a great time watching your video I love scraping memories and all things art . I just started recently to use travel notebooks/ journals in collaboration with my daily and fountain pens disposal and a twisbi & Lamy. Thank you also for being so real with us I know that’s not easy stepping out of your comfort zone

      Thank you so for stopping by, and for your kind words! 💗 What has your experience been like using your TWSBI and Lamy pens in your travel notebooks and journals? I thought I was a ballpoint girl for life, but now I don’t think I can go back 😅 Appreciate your kind words about stepping outside of my comfort zone. I fell into some old homebody habits when the world went remote, and it feels like I’ve had to re-develop a few things since. 🪫🔋

    Your style of journaling is so similar to my own spreads. I also swatch my inks as well in my hobinichi just like yours.
    Omg. I love Wonder Pens…I try to go there whenever I come home.

      I felt like this entire video was basically me exposing how much I love and shop at Wonder Pens 😅 Yay for swatching inks in hobonichis! Definitely a mindful, enjoyable activity for me. 🥹

    i loved this so much! such a great way to randomly document travel, purchases, and every day stuff. i just finished a much smaller scale project using one of the accordion inserts. it holds all the wrappers, labels, tags, shop stickers, etc. from my stationary, leather, pen purchases over the last few years. my only regret is not marking everything at the time of purchase and simply throwing them in a big envelope. because of duplicates, there’s no way of knowing what belongs to some of the labels/tags. live and learn. 😊 thanks for sharing your flip through. i always enjoy your content! ❤

      Thank you so much! I love the idea of using the accordion insert for this type of thing! 😍 I was thinking I might try one for travel, but I always put so much pressure on myself to document my travels, so I don’t always do it with my trips. Like you, I would keep all of my wrappers/labels, etc in envelopes for so long. I didn’t want to part with them, but I also didn’t want to stick them in my every day carry (ironically, the strength of the Cousin spine was originally one of the selling points for me since I’ve had a lot of notebooks break over the year). I feel some regret as well for not keeping better track of the dates I get things. I’m not the type of person who will immediately put things in my scrapbook - it might take me months or years, so it would be ideal to have a better system to keep track of them before I get around to adding them into my inserts.

      i loved using the accordion insert. it’s heavier paper…definitely as heavy or even heavier than card stock. i’ll try better to keep track of what’s what going forward. my initial thought is to put the bits in a snack size baggie with a sticky describing the contents. put your brain to that and let us know if you can think of something better. oh, maybe save the clear cellophane wrappers from inserts, stickers, all the little things related to this hobby. if we do that we’re not creating more plastic waste. how many of those wrappers have i thrown away?!? 🙄 thank you for your thoughtful reply. it’s validating or comforting to know i’m not alone in the struggle! 🩷

    I absolutely live the flip thru! I’m very intrigued by a standard sized TN, but it’s too big to use as a planner for me, but it’s a size for a scrapbook. Thanks for sharing!

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  29 днів тому

      I love the TN standard, but I agree it can be a bit big as a planner (although it’s smaller than the A5, so at least it can fit in my purse!). I’ve loved using them for non-time bound hobbies like this and my pen/ink logs. Thanks for watching; I appreciate you! 🥰

    Hi, I recently found you and am enjoying your cool, relaxed style very much. This is a timely video as I just got the latest Travelers cover, the Tokyo one and I was trying to think how to use it……I think I now know. ❤ I am now looking forward to going through all my ‘stuff’ and getting started. 😀

      Thank you so much for your kind words! Ahhh, the Tokyo cover is stunning - that’s so exciting that you got one! 🤩 I keep watching unboxing a for it, and I’m starting to feel some fomo. 😅😂 And, using it for your “stuff” sounds like the perfect plan! 🥰

    the Hobonichi Life is Present spread was my favorite, it's such a good idea to cut out all those cute drawings. I definitely want to do something similar next time I get a Hobonichi. my husband and I might be going to HK with his parents next year, I'm gonna have to look for that walnut and date treat, I don't think I've ever had it before.

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  29 днів тому +1

      Thank you! That spread was a labour of love since it took a while to cut everything out. It’s one of my favourites as well. I hope you enjoy the candy if you try it! No one in my family seems to be as obsessed as I am, so I don’t really know what to think about how good they really are. 😂 I’ve had similar things here, but this company makes them the best (imo).

    Hi Alison, can I just say I can relate to social anxiety and incredibly well done for supporting yourself to get there. Sometimes it is more about the getting there than being there, it has often been the case for me, that when I have got home from an event, I have been glad I worked through the anxiety to get there🎉🫶🎊🙌🏾
    I also have the Travelers Diner edition and I use it as a Tea & Treat journal to stick tea and chocolate packaging and journal about the taste experience of two of my favourite things. If there is cardboard packaging, I split the layers so I only use the top printed layer (and the bottom, if it is also printed) the in-between cardboard I dispose of and this helps to keep the bulk down in the insert. I do the same with wallpaper samples I use as backgrounds on my pages. Loved how you used this insert. I am still at the stage of, I can use the notebook and charms but not the stickers and special edition inserts but I will get there slowly. Thanks for share your adorable flip-through. I always look forward to your videos, finding them so relatable as well as so inspiring. 🎉🙌🏾🙏🏽🫶💖🌸🖋

      Thank you so much, Varsha! You’re right - it really can be more about getting there than being there! During the day before the event, I noticed that I was feeling more anxious and almost talked myself out of going. But like last year’s event, I was so glad I attended it in the end.
      I LOVE the concept of making a tea & treat journal so so much! 🥹☕️🫖 What a fantastic idea! I should save more of my tea bags since I’m always looking for new ones to try. That’s such a great tip about splitting up the layers - thank you! 🥰💖

    It’s glue- we used that back in elementary school - I grew up Thornhill (now it’s so developed) and we used glue that was similar to your bottle.

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  29 днів тому

      Ooh, good to know! Thank you for confirming. I’m glad I didn’t try to taste it 😂 Now that I think about it, we used liquid glue in elementary school too, but it came in a slightly different shaped bottle with a rubber lid that had a slit in it (I don’t know how else to describe it!). I’ll have to try the glue with in my new insert! 🤩
