- This is a problem I’ve run into many times and couldn’t find an easy solution until today. I hope it helps you if you’ve been wondering how to fix it.

Learning this made me irrationally, disproportionately happy. This seems like a setting to be turned on, not off. Thank you for ending a TON of frustration!!!
Dude, I could hug you right now - THANK YOU for this!
Dude! You are the best! I've been trying to troubleshoot this forever!
Glad I could help!
In Superior Drummer 3 this only works for the new libraries. When I turn off choke/ mute trigger for example on the Avatar or any of the older libraries - nothing happens. Annoying and stupid function... How often does one need a cymbal choke anyway? When I program drums I get about 4527 of them on every song and then I have to manually erase the chokes! And why is the setting for mutes hidden to begin with? Dear Lord...
Thank you so much for this! Was driving me crazy!
jajjjaajjaja
Fantastic! This was driving me crazy! Thanks.
hey, I love your videos, especially the guitar ones, so I'd like to ask you to make a video of how to make realistic guitar loops for pop/eletronic music using ample sound guitars! i'd love to learn how to make loops like Illenium, The Chainsmokers or any producer who uses guitar loops in his tracks!
Awesome, man. Short and sweet. Thank you so much.
Thank you SO much for this, was making me really aggravated and intensely annoyed. What is wrong with them to make this ENABLED by default? Obviously everyone is going to want their cymbals to be naturally ringing out FAR more often than wanting to choke them (the choking was making me want to choke the program itself) so why in the world would they make this by default something you have to turn OFF and not something to turn ON? Completely idiotic, driving so many people nuts with this utterly nonsensical decision and wasting everyone's time and creating a bunch of hassle. It really just boggles the mind that they thought that this is what they should do. Unreal.
Awesome tip Reuben thank you for posting it!
You're welcome. :) Thanks for watching.
Awesome! Great solution. I have the opposite problem. I'm using EZ Drummer 3 and I want cymbal chokes in certain songs; intro to Eye Of The Tiger, Crazy Little Thing Called Love. The software does not recognize the cymbal chokes from my drum module. I'll just try what you did backwards and see if I can get that sound, and then save that drum kit and only use it when I need cymbal chokes.
Thanks for the idea!
Thanks, I was searching for why this happens. Hopefully I can fix this in ezD2
Wow, thank you!! Was driving me insane.. Also made me subscribe!
Saved my life! Thank you so much for posting this. :-)
Thank you very much! Exactly!
Amazing!! Thank you!!!
very useful! thank you!
Thank you!!
Thank you so much for sharing my dear friend 😎👍
Dude, Toontrack should send you a bottle of really good Scotch just for you preventing us out here from storming their headquarters with pitchforks and torches. They're too clever by half, and if I wanted to choke the splash to begin with, I'd find a video for that, thank you very much.
THANK YOUUUUU this was driving me batty
I am having an issue some what different to this. When editing keyboard recorded midi drums, or even putting some of the midi notes for the drums on the grid manually with a mouse, sometimes at random times the cymbal will choke, even though it is not on a choke note.I can delete the note, and manually put a new note in it's place, and it still chokes. This is happening to me in Reaper on the Reaper midi grid. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks a lot.I was searching for solutions. Finally was able to release the cymbals, but one is still getting choked even after I turned off After touch! Not sure why.
Hello, I have a problem when I run a Cymbal Choke with my electronic drums, it works once but it remains drowned during the rest of the recording, if I perform this action, I understand that it will be solved! And when I do it again with the drums. won't choke sound? Or will it sound once as it should be and then return to normal sound?
Greetings and thanks
Hey Dude, thank u so much. Time's of Frustration are over:-)
Thanks so much. But how do you save it so that all the kits won't have this stupid cymbal stroke?
Bingo on 12/7/20! Thank you!
doesn't work when hitting 10' cymbal first and 16' after... it cuts the 10'... any suggestions? Thanks!
tnx, man!
You're welcome!
Holy FUCK thank you! Haha I got sd3 and was wondering why this was happening. I'm a keyboard drummer sometimes and this was getting really frustrating!
👍🏻
Didn't work for my NI Maschine MK3 Mikro :(
Same here. Did you ever find a solution? It's infuriating :(
@@Phazaar Yes i did, but i can't remember exactly what i did, i think its somewhere in the "Envelope and Offset" section
is This GarageBand?
No, this is Garage Band’s big brother, Logic Pro X. :)
Mine are still doing it. Wtf -_-
