  • In a previous video • Toyota Camry - Crank, ... I looked at a Toyota Camry that was towed in for a no start. We made the call on the fuel pump and the car was towed away for a cheaper fix. Welllll.... it's back 😏! -Enjoy!

When he goes to sell it, ad will read 260,000 miles, 70% highway, 20% city, 10% towing.

I applaud the car owner for helping to put a tow truck drivers kid through college.

"Not my fault, nor my problem" is the best quote when they don't believe your diagnosis! I've been there brother!

I can see customer's frustration. "Buy a Toyota, they said. I'll never have to deal with expensive repair again, they said". Poor guy probably doesn't have the money to fix it, or else he would have had it fixed the first time. The labor costs more than the pump.

Come on. Everyone talking about how they hate this kind of customer and how he is foolish, you only know he is foolish because you have done it. So have I. Why doesn't Eric put in cheap parts? Probably because he has put in cheap parts. Why doesn't he like XBrand parts? Because he has used them. Some of us got to learn the hard way. Welcome to the club Camry man.

I have a friend that is begging me to help his son in law replace the fuel pump in his ford truck as I type this. My friend is one of these people that will drive fifty miles to save forty cents on a can of WD 40, true story. He will be buying the pump. I am going to show him this video.

I have AAA, get four tows a year up to 100 miles each! Have had it for 17 years and while only used it a few times for lock out and a flat, I love knowing it's there and I get a discount on my car insurance I have with them. I have never had a car fail me so far! To make your fuel pump last as long as possible, always have a minimum of 1/2 tank of tier 1 gas! The gas not only lubricates the pump, it keeps it cool! It gets very hot here in Florida!

A good 1/3 of being a mechanic these days is knowing where to source parts and where to avoid

Finally some engineers who designed an access panel to work on a fuel pump without dropping the tank.

May be one of the most expensive cheap fuel pumps in history.....

A good mechanic can fix a lot of things but not even a great mechanic can fix stupid. Keep up your awesome work ethic Eric. Always a thumbs up from me.

A shop instructor of mine once said, "There is never enough time and money to do it right, only enough time and money to do it twice."

I sold aftermarket parts for 13 years and we never had a problem with Delphi fuel pumps. The only problems we had was the cheaper no name reman fuel pumps that the customer wanted.

LOL, thought he would be back, considering the quality of his "mechanic's" previous work, and his cheapest attitude which cost him more than just getting the job done right the first time.
