I’ve been to Sand Point and it’s beautiful. For 33 years I’ve also lived in one of the most beautiful places in the world (Santa Cruz CA area), while the weather here is far better I’m almost willing to trade it to live among more psychologically heathy people. My area is one of the bluest-voting in the U.S. and with that comes rates of depression, anxiety, paranoia and neurosis that are absolutely through the roof.
My wife and I explored Sand Point, Sagle, Hayden Lake and Coeur D Alene just this past July. Sand Point looked run down and in decline. Lots of closed businesses and Decaying buildings. Some of the neighborhoods looked terrible with lots of houses in disrepair and unkept landscape. Sagle seemed a little nicer and Hayden Lake even nicer. I wouldn’t move to Sand Point but Coeur D Alene I would.
Interesting. I find Sandpoint to be really nice. There are definitely some pockets of unkept homes though. Every town has its rougher-looking areas for sure. Sagle and Hayden Lake are two of my favorite places in north Idaho.

I love Santa Cruz. I get it. But moving here was the best thing we have ever done- for ourselves, and our family. I have never felt so complete.
@@northidahoexperience I’m thinking of buying in next few years and jumping in the RV from Oct-Mar :)
@@mikeviall811 let me know when you’re in town so we can go grab a coffee.

Jump on our website. We have a home search tool in there. We can help with that.
I think about moving to that area and my budget is about the same - but I would never consider any of these houses :)
What kind of houses do you like?
@@northidahoexperience From 1980. Also looking for at least half of an acre and preferably no HOA

Well you got me once showing a million dollar house in the thumbnail and suggesting it was 500k. But never again.
I'll try harder next time...
Not much
Depends on your priorities...
