I used to fly often between Los Angeles and Spokane over several years. I met a ton of travelers that are conservative and looking to get out of CA. I live in Spokane and really want out of WA now. I like Spokane enough but Olympia is ruining this state fast. Wish I moved a long time ago.

The issue is that a “conservative Californian” is still liberal by most conservative standards. Sure, they might like guns, but many of them continue to adhere to liberal social politics that seem normal to them back in California.

I’m a recent widow, this was a plan for us to move to Idaho to retire, I wanna do it I wanna at least try you only have one life, my poor husband 😢 it is so beautiful there, I love to hike, snowshoe and go fishing. I don’t wanna live in the big city, but the outskirts would be OK but it’s so expensive. I’m hoping by the time I’m ready they’ll be something left for me. Great video and honest.

Yes have them all move to post falls, keep them out of the best parts of north idaho! There is some nice 800k condos down by the freeway and some seattle style shops you can walk around to. Just hang out around there. R.I.P. Lions Club haunted house. 😢

I've lived in CDA my entire life, and while I don't like what's happening with all the rich folks, i still really like my state (north and south idaho should be seperate states). Only thing I'd say we can get by on is the resort, due to while it's pay isn't great, it's benefits are very high, and it's also a generally really good company, at least the owners are very charitable.

I moved here from central Texas, 1 1/2 year ago. Due to age and close to family. It's taken me a couple of years to adapt, we walk the dogs almost every day. Lows in 20's and better highs so far. I do layer up, due to born and raised in Texas. It is gloomy some, but there are advantages, very few thunderstorms, and people are nice.

I started coming to North Idaho around 2010. I remember looking at homes and seeing fantastic homes for $350K -$500K. For example, I vividly remember a home in Bonner County that was on 80 acres, had two private ponds, the home was nearly 12K sq ft, had a 14 car garage and a movie theater. That house was listed for $579K, and I was very interested in it but really felt like at the time it would be pushing the limit of what I was wanting to spend. However, based on how my income changed over the years and what the economy looks like today looking back that house was a fantastic price. However, that same house was up for sale in 2020 and it was $1.8M. So its all relative, the main issue still exists within North Idaho and that's finding a way to have the income needed to support purchasing the properties that everyone dreams of. From what I see the herd of buyers with all cash seems to be slowing down (not non-existent) just slimmed down. I think the native born Idahoans get frustrated with not being able to have the income capable of buying some properties. Personally I know a few couples where the husband works out of state to have the income to support the property they want. It has to be frustrating to work where you have to in order to live where you want to.
