As we cross the NT/QLD border there is plenty of action from a caravan rollover to new scenery...

Unfortunately we pass our first and hopefully only caravan rollover, on the way to Queensand just west of the famous Barkly Homestead, which has been fully done up, and well worth a visit. From here we find refreshing stop at Camooweal Billabong, giving us the break from a long days drive, as we move forward through Mount Isa we tour the underground hospital used during WWII, then we pass through Cloncurry to rest up at another great free camp in Julia Creek.

That road was in good nick for a change, i'm sure you have seen some crappier roads in the 2 weeks since. SA and Vic roads are shot because of flooding last year.
Even here in WA the gt nthn hwy is a bloody goat track. Main Roads Aust contracts all works out and QC is non existent.

I bet the caravan was way overloaded.... or all the weight in the back......

I don’t know what happened or I won’t even try and guess but I do know 8 out of 10 rigs on the road are overloaded. I know as I use to weigh them for a living.
