Really great to see this. Love those vintage of RR. I had a 72 back in the day with a 340 in it. Loved that car. Funny, I was watching a youtube video short of a guy backing up a 72 Charger. I heard the exhaust note and knew immediately it was a 340 even before I saw the call outs. That sound is stuck in my memory. The new motors, Hellcats and what not make tons of power, but those old 2 valve Mopar motors, man they make a rumble.
Excellent job! The only Road Runner I ever came close to was an orange 1969, that my roommate had. This was in 1971 and we drove all over the LAX area, where we were stationed, in the USAF.
🏆Awesome🏆one day I'd like to get my 69 1/2 Super Bee 383 4-speed or my 69 1/2 Coronet 440 I had back in the 80s thank you for the ride in your🍀time machine ✌️
This was my first car, i was in High School in 74. Mine was Med Blue with a 440, automatic with center console and black vinyl top, coyote duster air grabber hood...Wish i still had it..😢
my father had ordered a red 1969 road runner when he was in Vietnam but it wasn't ready when he got home...so he bought a blue one with the black top from the lot...i think i'd like to make a model of that car
Back east in North Western Pennsylvania on a misty evening before sunset and crusing in my 1971 Charger rt/se 440 six pack and pulling the lever for the ram air scoop it felt like I hit the gas the way that cool misty air rammed in. It was 1 of 166 and 63 were Hemis
I had 3 roadrunners (not at the same time ) , a new 1968 383 auto , 1970 383 4-speed , and a 1970 super bird 440-6 , 4-speed , wish i had one of them back .
I would of pointed the funtional hood scoops FORWARD not pointing to the sides! Love the FANTASIM shirt dude! Black with Road Runner Purple highlights..
I like the 440-HEMI modified with racing cam. or the 426-HEMI stock but the 383 is a great engine. they did well in the Grand Furies.. The Police had no problems catching up to speeders..Highest I'd go on the compression ratio would be 10:1 on any old school performance MOPAR V-8
I like the 68' better than the 69' just not the stock non-functional side mounted hood scoops?! I like the 68' better because of the options they were not available! Before it got painted basically ALL the metal had to be replaced! Oh well.. If I was to go all out to modify the 68' Road Runner I'd put a fabricated INDEPENDENT rear suspension on it...SIX PACK of course..

Cool RR! I wish I would have bought the one I looked at for my first car for $1500. in 86
I’ve offered the Chrysler dealership I work at to put my 70 in the show room. They always say yes. But never happens
