technically he wasn't buying NX, it's suppose to be a trade. The deal is the person gives the guy with NX mesos and in return, the guy with the NX will buy whatever cash item the person that gave him the mesos wanted him to buy, both transactions happen with in-game trading. While it is basically the same thing, it's within the rules enough to where it's legal.
I also once scammed a scammer, he smega'd and i got kicked out of the guild and dishonored at the same time, it was painful and hard to recover from. ):
I woulda revealed my identity a little differently. I woulda traded it through my friend to my main and said in the area that the guy was that I was selling the item I got off of him.
that's why you wait for the guy to get on his mule and come back, then trade with him, instead of just trusting someone. In this case it turned out ok, but it's never a good idea to do that unless you really know someone.
