So glad I was able to see this video on stream bruh, this was great. I skipped out on this video before because I've never played MS, or care about the game at all, despite being in love with the MS animation community. But it stands on its own as a funny video whilst being a love letter to old MS. I liked spotting all the cameos from OG Maplestory creators and that Indian drama char intro reference was fucking incredible.
The amount of effort you put into this is outstanding! There were so many references to old animators as well! (fricking MapleRawr was there!) If only the game actually restarted in reality
the craziest shit, is that all the people who commented might have played/partied together back then and we probably don't even know it. i still come back to this video a lot... old maplestory is dead and a bitter shell of what it used to be, filled with 24/7 henehoes decked out in whale NX equips and only ever talk to their equally annoying friends on Discord, but at the very least, the memories of better times can still stay sweet.

ts 3:43am, and this came up on my recommend tab. So many old MS references and spot on with the community references. I honestly love the El Nath theme when the crew walked into hene :( I used to spend all my time in the El Nath FM rooms with my friends. That Jake part also hit a soft spot too. But the past was beautiful, I used to play in Broa before this damn merger. Its a shame what Maple has become but thank you for this video really. Hopefully if I play again I'll meet people like y'all.

I cannot believe I'm only seeing this now. This was very emotionally provoking in so many ways. All the memories and nostalgia... You did a really good job aT recalling the past and telling quite and interesting story. I often think about old style maplestory and all of my old friends and this was very emotional to watch. I heard the rumors around that nexons planning on doing an official old school maple story, of course we all know it won't be the same at all especially now that we are all much older and the magics gone, but playing for just a few hours, seeing all the old maps and the amazing OST in the background of each map (i'm talking about you Ellinia: Missing you, such a fitting name too) could be amazing. thank you for coming to my ted talk, and thank you for creating this masterpiece, adding this one to my list of yearly rewatches, wishing you the best of all in everything.

@@BottleOfCandy fingers crossed they go through with it. i've been trying to understand for years what it is about maple that really is so special and not just to me as it seems but to a whole community which is incredible for a video game to establish such a strong feeling that years later each one of us still has a different kind of itch in our souls for this once a masterpiece of a game. sure most of us grew up playing this game on and off throughout the years, but most of us also probably grew up playing lots of different games alongside maple i'm quite certain, heck I played LoL and CoD for much much longer and more consistently than maple, even minecraft. and sure they're different games and genres but still I sunk so many uncounted hours in each one that i'm positive I got at least 2 full years out of my life on those games in pure gameplay hours on league at least for sure. and yet it's been a few years since I quit them all and not even the slightest will to check what's changed, whilst maple I still watch some of my fav MMV's and animations on a yearly basis and the best part (not) is that I still play the game, honestly it feels like a curse at this point, I quit for a year and get the urge to reinstall, quitting again for a few months and hops there I am back again at it, my longest quitting streak was a year and a few months and then they announced summer events with plenty of rewards and of course I was back, god i'm weak I know :(

Omg I used to play maplestory when I was a kid, then I just didn't have a laptop or computer for years and then I tried to play again and everything was so different and way more difficult. And just hearing all the new stuff on maplestory I'm just like wait, wtf is that?
this was amazing and on point with how things used to be, and cleverly done. The voice acting is hilarious. I suck at voices and maybe I need more friends to be able to have hilarious and amazing voices for my animations...(also excuse my dumb pfp and username, it's old haha) This is much better animation than those Maple Saga ones on the official channel years ago imo)

I only ever played maple for the social aspect really. I loved being in scania channel 1 henesys all day, and training wasnt really fun for me without lots of people in the game, so Its hard for me to be interested in these servers for long simply cuz theyre not populated. leveling seems so pointless because the world is so empty. it makes me feel like I'm a billionaire while being the last person alive on the planet or something

First of all I gotta get my life in check, life between college graduation and jobs sucks. None of my irl I played with play anymore, and nothing feels as fun as when you experience it as a kid and for the first time. Playing MS as a kid and teens were some of the best moments of my life but you can’t go back to it and just gotta accept it I guess. What really sucks is that my feelings of nostalgia seem of have decreased every year (have been going through real tough times as well) and now I don’t feel that real magical feel in my soul when I think of when I played MS in the old days anymore but I always know it was a huge feeling when I felt it. I’m still nostalgic, but feeling isn’t as big anymore. Anyway, sorry, don’t mean to be such a downer, just sharing my thoughts.

Oh man, I doubt you're still active online, but sometimes I pursue the depths of my MMV obsession from when I was 13 back in 2013 lmfao, and I like to go back and check what MMV's still exist on the platform. You're one of earliest subs I have on my account still, and I used to rewatch your videos like crazy LMFAOOO This was definitely a blast to the past, I remember the old MapleStory too, recently tried to get back into the game but it won't even install right on my desktop.
You really did amazing on this video! Everything from the voice acting, to the sound design, to the animation (the fight sequence was insane yo), it's crazy to see how much you've improved from when I originally subscribed to you. The editing and pacing was perfect, too! This was a labor of love, and you knocked it out of the park for real. thanks so much for making this (and I'm 3 years late but it iz wat it iz).
