    My background is Sambo, combat Sambo,Power lifting and boxing. My grandson is involved in Jui Jitsu, and now wrestling. He is in 8th grade. He is practicing with the local HS. I realized that power lifting is ok, but not a transfer for wrestling. Thank you for your films, and advice.

      Yeah. That one hurt a bit, but it's name of the game. Gable was the better man that day and very well deserved.

    Athletes under the age of 12 . Sports played; wrestling, lacrosse, soccer, football, jiu jitsu. What should they be doing to build strength, power,explosiveness, speed, and agility? And realistically one much time per workout and how many days a week to get real results without burping them out.?

    Hey Coach! I’ve been watching your vids for a while now. A question that always runs through my head is how much carbs and fats I should eat? Your previous wrestling nutrition videos talked about how much protein a wrestler/athlete should eat. The carbs and fats are always a struggle for me.

    Can you please suggest some beginner excercise for becoming wrestlers. I am 16 year old girl

    • @orup4982
      @orup4982 3 роки тому +1

      Start by getting comfortable with your body weight. Push-ups, crunches, squats, pull-ups, etc. All essential body weight movements. If you search up the exercise name + progressions, you will be able to find harder and easier forms. You can move forward from there. Best of luck

    Lots of great info in your videos, thank you! My son is about to turn 13, are these lifts and drills good for him to start at this age or should I consider other types of training? He is more into BJJ currently than wrestling but there are many carryovers between them with grappling. Thank you!

    • @GarageStrength
      @GarageStrength  3 роки тому +1

      Yes he can definitely do it. Just be conscious of the load and you may have to adapt based on his skill level in the weight room, but he can definitely do the exercises.

      That is specially fabricated bar we had made. We call it a shot put bar, but as far as we know no one else have one.

    I had my first sprawl yesterday and just in the wrestling stance. My quads where fatigued ! I learned that I’m not dominant on takedowns cause I lose energy so quick but I did notice I’m fucking resilient when I’m on ground? The wrestler on top had a really hard time. How do I go on fixing this issue

    Love these videos but guys like Nick Ferrari are on all kinds of anabolics. No way you're repping 650lbs naturally while also being that lean and being a strength endurance athlete.
