Love that he did tons of research on the bike but was surprised it had a quick shifter. It's basically the first feature on Honda's site. 😆
Out of the 5 reviews I watched, only 1 person mentioned the quick shifter so I just assumed it was aftermarket on that particular bike. Didn't know they came standard with them lol

I'm not normally a big naked fan, but that thing looks MEAN
I had a cb1000r for a year, you gotta get a good tune brother.. The throttle only opens like 35% in 1st gear and starts closing at like a bit over 10k rpm.. Also the mid range is soo lean, that is why you feel that insane power hit at like 7-8k rpm.. The under the curve gains with tuning are super needed on this bike, and the improved throttle response all that made the CB1000r the most improved off full exhaust & tune I have ever achieved on a bike. The mid range turns to torque all the time, which makes it a wheelie animal, the front end is so light, at 1/2 throttle its floating.. The CB1k is really hard to not act a full on hooligan while riding..

this bike is good. but in a very illigal way. aka. its easy to have fun at the cost of legality. id personally stick with more legal means of fun. dual sport off-road shenanigan's. bring back the old dan!

I crossed shopped the CB1000R and the Rebel. Almost went with the CB because of the single sided swing arm. But the Rebel swayed me for longer highway use. I live rurally and speeds are 55 minimum where I'm at. I lobe that CB though!!!
As long as you like it, cool.. that being said, I do not - it's very vanilla/meh.
I LOVE the new CBs. Pretty much all of them I love, big sucker for the styling of each generation, but these new ones are gorgeous. Hell, evven the 125cc looks great IMO
I have a Street Triple 765 RS Naked bike. Honda CB 1000R next on my list to add to my garage. I hate those type of mirrors. Can't see Shi* and they are ugly AF. Switch to bar ends.

I had a 2012 Speed Triple after having a 07 CBR 1000rr and it was 10x more comfortable with 80% of the performance. Which on the street is more than enough to get into trouble. I am a fan of a 1000cc Naked Bikes.
I have an Yamaha XSR 900 and its way more fun and comfortable to ride than my R6 was by far. way more usable power. Super torquey. You are going to fall in love with that CB1000

Nah don't let people knock you for the riding position. I can't ride cruisers anymore from a few bike accidents prior. Now I have a Triumph Legend 900, straight up and down position. Can't go back to the relaxed ride but hey it feels great now. Good lookin ride all around man

Do you have luxury vehicle tax? Here in Australia, when a car is over a certain value which I believe is $100k, you have to pay luxury tax on top of Registration and normal fees
Hey Dan idk if you've done a review on the Z900 or not but I feel like you'd be suprised, I think chase has done one I don't remember but the 23s and 24s have been updated since the 21s and 22s with more features and they're relatively cheap for what you get

Those tires are junk! gpr300 on a 1000 is a sin. Dealer prob swapped it. Get another pilot power or switch to ROAD 6's!

Cb1000r makes 143hp and 77 ft lbs of torque. Good power for a naked but far from an actual "liter bike"
I've owned my 23 cb1kr for over a year now there's nothing i dont like about the bike! full exhaust is a must though! also a tune! those mirrors are not stock so definitely get rid of those. also these are extremely rare for no reason at all, makes me feel cool but doesn't help with getting parts. enjoy the gentleman's hyper naked!!

I test rode one of these when I had my mt09, had the standard pipe, was definitely smoother and more refined and probably faster but I loved the aggressive sound and feel of the mt09, great bike though
