I live about 4 hours North of Dan and I saw 47.2 about ten years ago. Was it a record? Yes. Have I seen 38+ multiple times since then? Yes. I imagine, just based on videos, that much of the East Coast of Australia and South East America are about the same as far as climate goes. Maybe Florida gets more rain, and Tennessee/North Carolina/Virginia see colder temps in the winter, but other than that, it sure looks similar.

The fact that either side can't loosen control over any hot button topic is the issue. If, for example, democrats didn't try to get a strangle hold on guns and push greeninfication so hard, and republicans didn't try to force ancient christian bs on everybody, we'd be a lot better off. If a winning political candidate can't lower their position for fear of pissing off their rich donor "base", we don't have representation of the center. At all... I'd even argue that far right "conservatives" are trying to change so much so fast that they should give that name to the centrists. Where the motto is "Well.. it's more complicated than that."

As a european, I can say that we're very aware and afraid of both candidates. Biden can't think straight and trips on stairs more often than my grandmother and Trump is pretty much terrifying us with his arguments against NATO etc etc. (I know europe should participate more in NATO, we're working on it)
