    It has really helped me a lot. Although I couldn't turn on the Spanish subtitles, I think I could understand everything. Very didactic. Thank you for sharing your learning.

    Hi, great video. Question's, Can you do a video about getting started, say doing craft shows. Do you need a gst. number? How you set up for customers to pay? Must appreciated. Tfs. Sherry from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦.

    Amazingly helpful video, just what I needed! I was trying to figure out how to sell certain products wholesale knowing that the profit margin was very low. Now I realise that some products just can’t be sold wholesale… and that’s okay. Thank you! 🙂

    Rebecca, Thank you so much for your video, I've just started selling Journals and notebooks, but now I'm very interested in Notepads, your channel is very helpful...my question is what about the shipping cost. Please make a video about it, what are the best options. PLEASE. Thanks

      Thank so much for watching! I don't really have any good tips for shipping since it's extortionate no matter what... I just use Canada Post lettermail for everything, since all my products are flat!

    I sat down and looked at this for example did a 5.5 by 8.5 tear off notpad of 30 pages and I came up with $27 to price my item and I am at a loss as that seems way out there for a tennessan so any advice or suggestions would be amazing (I usually do 1-2 hours just design in begining as I am new to creating them, and min wage is 7.25 but i upped to $8 since I been drawing since birth and all my designs will be drawn)... my materials is $6.02 roughly due to me using epson inkjet just for start until I can get better it does 312 pages per refil.
    It came out to like $27 with following the steps... But I have no idea where a comprable item would be? Send help! lol - Kimi

    • @luckysprout

      Thanks for watching! Do you mean the plastic sleeve it goes in? I get those off Amazon in bulk, but otherwise I don't put a cover on my notepads! 🌸

    how is it that cheap omg i followed your example and with the cheapest materials i can find in my country production cost brings me to 5$ US. And I LIVE IN A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY! Which is already expensive for a retail price for my country. And that's just the material cost .... imma go cry now

    • @luckysprout
      @luckysprout  6 місяців тому +1

      I think the cost is lower by using my ink-efficient printer, and by purchasing large quantities of paper to reduce the overall costs... but I definitely feel you, the cost of materials is no joke!!! Making stationery by hand is rarely cost-efficient 🥲

    • @Bakanyanchii
      @Bakanyanchii 6 місяців тому

      @@luckysprout yea i have an inkjet and it consumes a lot like i checked and outsourcing would be better than this and here outsourcing costs a lot🤣🤣🤣 cuz they ask for a high quantities per design

    You left out the cost of sales. You likely spend money on booth space and you spend your time sitting in your booth selling products.

    This is so helpful!!! T^T I'm new to making notepads, and last week I got an influx of orders because they are very cheap, around 0.37cad to 1.22cad (price depends on the quality and quantity of the paper.) My dumb*ss didn't factor in the labor. 🥲 I found out that mistake the hardway when I have to fulfill the orders I received(60+ notepads). I'm also cutting them manually sheet by sheet. 🫠I'm working for almost 15 hours a day just to finish them. my hand hurts, my back hurts, and eventually got sick on the 4th day. 😭 My effort was so high yet I got paid way too low. 🥹
    I am still thankful for the orders. They serve a very valuable lesson.
    I will now reprice my products accordingly.
    Thank you so much for this video. ❤️

      Ah I'm so sorry you ended up having to do that!! I totally empathize! I think it happens to a lot of us especially during the figuring-it-out stage... good on you for finishing the order anyway, and now you'll have a good story to tell other makers too! Really glad I could help figure things out with you 🥰
