Congratulations mate ! your hammer (THOR). ,, clearly the best I've seen on UA-cam by a country mile ! very inspiring video for woodworking enthusiasts ✅
Well I have seen some beautiful mallets on the tube mate and Instagram but if this is not a winner I will stand rootin!! You certainly go above and beyond when you put your mind to it Vic. This is a bloody ripper mallet mate. Well done!!! 🍻 🍻🍻🇦🇺🇦🇺
Holy Crapskis so epic Vic! I had a similar but different hammer intention for the challenge, but time was not on my side. I still will do it, but it won't in ready for the end of the challenge. This one needs a share around, so cool!
Thanks mate, you can understand how i was excited and confident about this one. You're right about the 'pool room'. When i was talking about what i was going to do with it my wife was very quick to say that it should go on the wall in our movie room 😁
Nice project mate!If you don't mind,I do have a question about your table saw.I have the exact same saw,and have a problem with the front handle for raising and lowering the blade. The tightening screw tends to tighten up when least expected.I took it to bits and noticed the shaft is very short, unlike the 45 Degree shaft on the side. Not enough room to engage the nut,and seemingly needs to be longer.Have you experienced the problem at all? Thanks Mick.
Thanks Mick. I have not had any issues with the blade lowering handle, mine has worked fine the whole time. i did, however, have an issue with the blade tilting handle. the locking screw on mine has never worked since i bought it and i've tried to fix it.
@@DownUnderWoodWorks yeah I rewatched and caught it thanks so much. I'm adapting your ring gig to work with a slide hammer to pinch rings around a leather wrapped handle I was spinning my wheels on that one until I found this. And again your craftsmen ship on that hammer was very inspiring Thank you
This is EPIC Sir Victor ☝️👏 mate not only the winning entry into the #kustomgritmalletchallenge but also something that’ll be in your Tool arsenal Forever, another Masterclass video mate 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍👍👍
Vic this hammer came out absolutely incredible, beautiful work.
Thanks very much Thom, i'm very happy with it
Nice! I think you would have fit right in with the Vikings with that. Really enjoy all your videos. Thanks Vic!
Haha, thanks very much Mark
That's killer! And, never let anyone kill that smile!
Thanks mate and wise words
Nice work Vic. The smell of cedar still takes me back 40 years as an apprentice
same for me mate but i think of lead pencils at school
Super build video! Amazing piece.
Thank you very much Karen
Very well done. Nicely embellished. Massive. 👍👍 Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
thanks very much Glen, it was my pleasure.

haha, not sure about that Daniel but thanks very much mate.
Really nice! I like the accents on the handle, and the head is massive! Thanks guy!
Are you talkin' dirty?
🤣
Thanks very much mate, glad you like it!
Love the theatrics! 🤗😆
Thank you very much. i managed to work out the flying hammer bit 🤣
There are hammers and then there is this! Gorgeous, I'm sure you will treasure it!
I do Juliet. Thank you very much
After seeing your comment about the performance of this video, I watched it again. I still think it is a ripper build and a great video.
Thanks very much Paul. For me, this is on par with the bike build regardless of how the video performs.
Hi Vic, looks awesome, job well done indeed.
Thanks very much Philip
Congratulations mate ! your hammer (THOR). ,, clearly the best I've seen on UA-cam by a country mile ! very inspiring video for woodworking enthusiasts ✅
Thank you very much Wally, that’s a wonderful compliment.
amazing build mate! and the animation, nice! Really loved the use of different materials to you used to get the details!
Thanks very much Vipun. The intro isn't an animation, it was done very 'old school'. i think i'll do a video on how i did it
@@DownUnderWoodWorks yeah that’d be interesting, it’s been a while since I’ve done any camera work so it’ll be fun to remind myself the old school…
Great job vic, the whole thing looks really nice
Thanks mate, glad you like it. I'm stoked with it
Great job mate, the inserts look cool
Yeah thanks mate, they did work out really well.
Loved the intro :D And the hammer turned out great. Glad to see I am not the only one cutting up household leather objects for my projects. Cheers.
I do too mate, its my favourite video moment of all my videos. Thanks for watching and commenting

Thanks very much Dave, glad you liked it mate. I think you should be a judge for the challenge 🤣
Mate if I was a judge I would vote for mine but can be bribed easy…. 😂😂😂.
Holy Crapskis so epic Vic! I had a similar but different hammer intention for the challenge, but time was not on my side. I still will do it, but it won't in ready for the end of the challenge. This one needs a share around, so cool!
Thanks James, I’m pretty chuffed about it. Maybe you could still make your entry anyway and give us another video to watch
@@DownUnderWoodWorks Oh I will tag it even if it takes me a year :P I shared the video around a few facebook groups too ;)
Now that's a hammer! 😍
Looks great, and the inlays worked marvelously!
Thanks mate, i'm really happy with it
Looks bloody fantastic Vic. Great job. A very cool project.
Thanks mate, glad you like it. I'm pretty chuffed with it 👍
Awesome! It came out too good. I like the PVC jig idea to make rings 👌
Thanks mate, you can see and hold the real thing anytime.
I liked the 'not' special effects, nice bit of set up and editing.
Thanks mate. i really enjoyed that process
“Cool Hammer!” -Rufus Schinbein, Aged two and three quarters; guess that’s a seal of approval Vic!
yay, cant get any better than that. Thanks mate
Wow Vic that came out freakin unreal mate ! What an epic project ⚒⚒
Thanks very much mate, glad you loved it
you're amazing Vic. As usual and thank you for the editing and sharing. Peace out! Rich
Thank you very much Rich, great to hear from you
Nice one Vic, that looks brilliant, Stewart, south west WA.
Thanks very much Stewart
Great looking mjolnir
Thanks very much Chris
Something to crack the walnuts with LOL. Looks great. Well done
ha, great idea mate. That would make a great video. Thanks Peter
yet another fantastic project how do you come up with these ideas. absolutely brilliant.
Thanks very much Simon. I’ve actually had this idea for a few years and Scott’s mallet challenge gave me the reason to finally do it
Great video mate! the build is fantastic! love it!
Thanks very much mate, glad you love it
Epic take on Mjolnir!
Thanks mate, glad you like it
Thor would be jealous, Vic!
Lets hope so mate. I hope he watches the video at least
Very cool.
Thanks mate
Epic build and video, awesome work 🙌🏼
Thanks very much Joe.
That came out great!
Good idea going with the laser for the engravings. I was curious how that was going to go from the thumbnail.
Totally agree mate, they look fantastic. My original idea was to engrave them by hand with my Dremel. Glad i didn't attempt that.
@@DownUnderWoodWorks It probably would have been ok for the first one or two, but by the 8th I would never want to hand engrave again, haha!
Mate.....don't know how l missed this one!....What an Epic Project!! Well done mate 👍👍😁🇦🇺......Straight to the Pool Room for this one l reckon 👍👍
Thanks mate, you can understand how i was excited and confident about this one. You're right about the 'pool room'. When i was talking about what i was going to do with it my wife was very quick to say that it should go on the wall in our movie room 😁
@@DownUnderWoodWorks There's your next project mate...a really cool display case for the Beast 👍👍
Nice work mate 😮
Thank you 🙏🏼👍🏼
Great work well done 👏
Thanks Peter
Looks awesome!!
Thank you
Great stuff Vic
Thanks Ash
That’s one epic hammer!
Thanks very much mate, i tend to agree 😁
I Like this one , Nice Job
I do too mate. Thanks very much Anthony
You were supposed to build a mallet Vic, not a bloody sledgehammer!
Also, love that intro!
haha, thanks mate. i love the intro too. i think i should stop watching it over and over now.

Thanks mate.Same problem,different handle.
Very nice. Looks fantastic. Do use use a wagner electric sprayer?
Yes mate, its the W550. its an old model, I've had it for years and its fantastic. i think the W100 is the current equivalent of it.
amazing video and build , do you mind if i ask what were the rings you used in those GENIUS MOLDS?
Thank you very much. The rings were just sections cut off the PVC pipe to make rings
@@DownUnderWoodWorks yeah I rewatched and caught it thanks so much. I'm adapting your ring gig to work with a slide hammer to pinch rings around a leather wrapped handle I was spinning my wheels on that one until I found this. I actually want to make a dead blow version of this (minus the finest details haha)
That would be cool mate.
Looks great
Thank you mate
It's a little small, but it might serve as a mini Mahler's Hammer.
How cool. i just googled it, what an awesome instrument.
i'll bet ya very thore esc hehehe after that 1 love it mate
Haha, thanks very much mate
Very cool!
Thanks sis
This is EPIC Sir Victor ☝️👏 mate not only the winning entry into the #kustomgritmalletchallenge but also something that’ll be in your Tool arsenal Forever, another Masterclass video mate 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much Dirk, I really appreciate your constant support mate. Unfortunately, the judges didn’t share your views mate but it’s still awesome.
Never thought hearing millimeters instead of 3 quarters of an inch would be so satisfying, most projects searched for are always the guys far west 🤣🤣
Ha, thanks Charlton. MM all the way
Now it is Dainer
Turn to make one , as he is a Wooden hammer guru 🤣
True mate but i think this will be a one of a kind
It's not how big it is, it's how you use it. Can you even swing that thing big fella? 🤣🤣
true mate. i'm not game to swing it too much, probably break my wrist 🤣
Disappointed you didn’t do the decorations by hand
My original thoughts were to do them by hand with a Dremel but that was just going to be too much work
Ripper!
Thanks Barry
