Currently doing this right now, at the point I have to seperate the lower half so your camera dying right at the balance shaft made me start worrying about getting to that myself
The balance shaft is pretty simple you set the engine on top dead center using the timing marks under the starter cover you'll have to put the cover back on and then you install the counter balancer so that the line on the balancer lines up with the little cast in pointer in the case if you have any questions about that I can always do a short video for you this afternoon
fun watching you tear down. Q: What does it mean to back-cut the gears? I assume some milling process. Why would you do that vs replace the gear? I have gen 1 busa comming that either has a bad clutch or buggered tranny.
The original problem was a skipping in second gear it feels very similar to the chain skipping on the sprockets but it's actually the transmission skipping in and out of here it is a common failure in all generation one Hayabusas

@ I would greatly appreciate if you’d do that for me
Great video!! Thanks so much
Thank You!!! Your video saved me a major headache looking for that one bolt behind the countershaft. Did you go back with yours or deleted it?
I left the balance shaft it's not worth deleting
What part of alabama are you in

Back cutting allows positive engagement of the gears rather than the factory 90 degree mating surfaces that commonly slip
i got a 97 gsxr 600 that needs bearing replaced behind the front sprocket what would you charge for fixing it
Hey boss I'm just seeing this go ahead and email me at 9ringl@gmail.com and I can get you a quote.
Is it possible to remove conrods and pistons with only lower crankcase removed? (And put them back together)
No that requires splitting the bottom and top on a Hayabusa.
Thank you
Sorry what was the original problem? False neutrals?
Awesome video 😎
