I love my Chris Gregory knives and sharpening kit I bought years ago! They are always razor sharp. The strop is really the key component to getting them that way. Thanks for all you do!!
@@ChrisGregoryFarrier I can't tell you how much I appreciate you and all the information give so generously to help people do better by the horses they serve!
Thanks I’ve been shoeing close to 30 years now part time, was needing a new knife so just ordered the sharpening kit and 2 knives I’ve always just used a chainsaw file didn’t have much luck with those other sharpeners but I’ll give these a try now that somebody showed me how, could use a new shoeing apron too did you mention that y’all built those as well? really enjoying watching these younger folks going at it, thank for the videos brother
Much appreciated. Great teaching video. Truly enjoyed watching. At what point do you replace your knives. If I understood correctly your knives you replace a couple times a year. What convinces you to replace?
Thanks for your comment. When the blade has been used and sharpened to the point that it is half the original width, it is time to replace it. They can be so dangerous if they break.
Hi folks. Thanks to all of you for entering the drawing. These kits and knives are available on my website at www.heartlandhorseshoeing.com/store
Went to your website and would like to get your kit. But it says website not found?
Found the shop getting ready to purchase kit!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I hope you are able to make flat edges into razors.
I need to get my hoofs trimmed next time we meet for worship team practice. 😁 Excellent video Chris!
Hi Mike. I would guess that you have some serious toenails. But, I think we can shorten them if you want.
Can you tell me what you use on the strop please? Many thanks from Michelle in New Zealand
