    I use a round file from a chainsaw.
    The ones real nice, I like a whippy little left handed one, the crooked offset is neat.

    When I sharpen em I take a bunch off the cheeks especially toward the tip, I think that’s why they all say void once sharpened because to get them where a guy can use em you start getting em pretty quick. My grandpa said he wore the crook off one. 😂

    This looks like a good method to restore a once useful knife. The only “bitch” that I have with your video is the lack of safety glasses during the use of the grinder or buffer. A one eyed farrier, either pro or amateur will have to work a lot harder. After fifty years in machine shops, I speak from just the few that got around my safety glasses. One small grain of “dirty” abrasive can get you a big gauze patch at your favorite ER. Scratches and infections are the prizes.
