    just a pointer but you can run the hose from behind you and up your back to your spraying arm so that the hose is not close to any panel while you are painting, very nice work ! Paint on Brother!!

      Rajabu Rajy you can have different paint scheme ie Lechler standox etc... the paint system comes with colour scheme software, you can obtain the colour code from the panel stamp and make the colour.

    Ive been painting cars and industrial spraying since the late 70s and have to admit i'm not a great lover of the modern water based base coats..i try a stick with the spirit based when i can..also i prefer holding the air line in my left hand as you do i pull it away from car or feed more out as needed..nice job.

    Just been reading all the comments about fluid tips and nozzle sizes..all my guns are gravity fed and 2mm or 2.5mm i use same guns for heavy primer as fine finishing..you can always turn a 2mm gun down for fine finishing but 1.4 cant be opened up for heavy stuff..just my opinion though i'm old school.

    Hey Just a note to let anyone who might care about it -it is possible to turn a regular tekna into a clear gun by adding the DV703529 Devilbiss 703529 Air Separator & Seal Kit and DV704200 Devilbiss Automotive Refinishing 704200 (Pro-102-Te25-K)Air Cap & Retaining Ring. $150 US from autotoolworld. I wish i could recommend the gun setup but after 2 jobs I find it no where near the atomization of either the Sata 5000 or the ws400. It is a wet center heavy rp like pattern but at full material on a 1.3 tip i felt it was no better than the te20.

    • @johnafsoc8929
      @johnafsoc8929 4 роки тому +2

      Julio. I have thousands of hours behind Teknas. If you’re loud and have an excess of overspray your gun is not set up correctly. Check your data for pressure range and adjust accordingly. Ensure you’re using the pressure gauge provided with the gun.

    i have a fender and when i finish painting it, it is a different color than what is in the can. The paint matches the rest of the car perfectly when i spray a test spot on the car. The fender is from a junkyard. When i first painted the fender the color came out correctly. That was with another brand of paint. Any ideas?

    Your opinion? I'm spraying SPI universal HS clear with a tekna clearcoat gun. They strongly recommend using 1.4 tip. Would you suggest the hv25 or hv30 cap for the smoothest finish? I have a decent compressor with 20cfm. Thanks.

    • @frostyriffs

      Raffo Asus it’s sealer, one coat, air pressure will be the spray gun manufacturers recommended psi to achieve the required air pressure at the air cap. ie...Tekna pro lite would be 24-25 psi at full trigger.
