The reason is that people are brainwashed by Christianity at a very young age. Science needs to be taught as soon as kids enter the school system (around age 5).

lingayat holy texts repeats most of things from upanishads, patanjali yoga sutra and some of saankya. lingayat founder basaveshwara or basavanna was against sanatana dharma because of untouchability and other superstitions which were very prevalent in sanatana dharma. he tried very hard to convince people of sanatanis to accept shudras as same and give them entry to the temples but they didnt accept his arguments so he only came out of sanatan dharma and created new system to attain enlightenment. even though he started new system of worship, it is largely inspired by combination of both bhakti and tantra of hinduism. he did this to give everyone their deserved rights for religiosity. he didnt called out anywhere it as separate religion in texts but he definitely criticized deity worship. according to him, shiva is nirguna form, that is para shiva. but nowadays lingayat gurus dont understand why he digressed from hinduism and maintaining similar stand of him against sanatana dharma even though hinduism gone through lots of reformation. i came to this observation because there are some instances in his life where he gave respect to enlightened people who got enlightened through hinduism.

The word Brahman is derived from the Sanskrit root √brhi, meaning - vrddhau, - meaning growing, and the suffix man, added to it, signifies an absence of limitation (in expanse). No beginning or end ( anant). Because it has no beginning, and is still growing it cannot have a fixed form. It has no beginning or end. So Brahma is “ niraakaar”. Brahma is “infinite”. But is it possible for two infinites to exist? It’s not possible. Because when there are two infinites , then you have to give starting and end points to one infinity so that the end point for one infinity becomes stating point for another. But if we give starting and end points then it cannot be infinity. So since there can ve only one infinity and God is infinite there is only one infinite God. Cosmic existence is nirakaar. SO BRAHMA PREVADES EVERYEHERE. BECAUSE IF SOMETHING DOESNT exist how can it be real. We cannot see anything produced from something which has no beginning or birth. Therefore, these two reasons conclude that this universe is not at all produced. Actually there is no existing language that can define God, how big he is or what form he is. In fact vedas give a negative definition of Brahman. “ NETI NETI” THIS IS NOT BRAHMAN THAT IS NOT BRAHMAN”Because what we see is limited. What exists beyond what we see how can we describe it., hence “ neti neti”. Fir example we know what yellow colour may look like. Can we explain this to a blind person what is yellow. We can experience Brahman but we cannot describe him. If there is concept of creator in abrahamic religions then it means god must have some form. If god has form then how does god look like. But nobody has seen God. So how can they describe him. But in hinduism God is formless The universe was not created in time and finished, it is created each moment; it is being created each moment because it is God’s own being. Just as you move, you sing, you love, so God creates - every moment he is creating. And the creation is never separate, it is his movement, his dance.” This is what famous Nataraja statue depicts. I thought that Ranganathan, who stands up for Hinduism and Hindus would at least have some idea about this knowledge system. Where in Hinduism do our rishis say that “God” created the universe? Hindu knowledge is most consistent with science. Not just that, Hindu knowledge is based on nature and logic and is more Intelligent than science. And btw, all the current bases of your “modern” science lie in Hinduism and it remains inferior to the Hindi system of logic and understanding. But how can we expect that understanding from those trained by western standards? No other knowledge system has been able to understand Ishwar tattva better than Hinduism. The difference between current form of science and Hinduism is that the former only acknowledges pratyaksha PramAna (direct evidence) and is based on the belief that the whole creation and universe is materialistic in nature. It is because of this “belief” and limitation that it has placed on itself, that today the Physics research stands stumped and at a crossroads. The understanding by the west for Quantum physics is derived from Vedanta while it continues to deny the non material basis of the creation. And they are therefore NOT able to deal with consciousness because consciousness or the God element (ultimately) is non material in its nature. Hinduism never had a problem with this because its perspective is based on a more robust logic system and sees that the spiritual and the scientific are not separate but part of the same understanding of the creation.

Evolution is taught around 9th grade (14 years old) in USA. Still many people believe in creationism, Adam and Eve story, and that the world is 6000 years old. The reason is that people are brainwashed by Christianity at a very young age. Science needs to be taught as soon as kids enter the school system (around age 5).

lingayat holy texts repeats most of things from upanishads, patanjali yoga sutra and some of saankya. lingayat founder basaveshwara or basavanna was against sanatana dharma because of untouchability and other superstitions which were very prevalent in sanatana dharma. he tried very hard to convince people of sanatanis to accept shudras as same and give them entry to the temples but they didnt accept his arguments so he only came out of sanatan dharma and created new system to attain enlightenment. even though he started new system of worship, it is largely inspired by combination of both bhakti and tantra of hinduism. he did this to give everyone their deserved rights for religiosity. he didnt called out anywhere it as separate religion in texts but he definitely criticized deity worship. according to him, shiva is nirguna form, that is para shiva. but nowadays lingayat gurus dont understand why he digressed from hinduism and maintaining similar stand of him against sanatana dharma even though hinduism gone through lots of reformation. i came to this observation because there are some instances in his life where he gave respect to enlightened people who got enlightened through hinduism.

Because when there are two infinites , then you have to give starting and end points to one infinity so that the end point for one infinity becomes stating point for another.
But if we give starting and end points then it cannot be infinity.

SO BRAHMA PREVADES EVERYEHERE. BECAUSE IF SOMETHING DOESNT exist how can it be real.
We cannot see anything produced from something which has no beginning or birth. Therefore, these two reasons conclude that this universe is not at all produced.
Actually there is no existing language that can define God, how big he is or what form he is. In fact vedas give a negative definition of Brahman. “ NETI NETI” THIS IS NOT BRAHMAN THAT IS NOT BRAHMAN”Because what we see is limited. What exists beyond what we see how can we describe it., hence “ neti neti”.

We can experience Brahman but we cannot describe him.
If there is concept of creator in abrahamic religions then it means god must have some form. If god has form then how does god look like. But nobody has seen God. So how can they describe him.

It's not the job of the school or science textbook to preach " God or No God"😊 instead u give the subject in light dosage to class 3 onwards. And sprinkle the thought process in other subjects like geography, SS etc
I personally believe my son's curiosity and analytical mind and way of seeing things differently got curtailed by " organised Boards" I curse to this day ,I put the poor thing to go through it. And the discussion of origin of life by lay men in public is not only absurd, it is out right misguiding the ignorant. Please teach evolution; leave origin of species to graduate school when students have matured.

I thought that Ranganathan, who stands up for Hinduism and Hindus would at least have some idea about this knowledge system. Where in Hinduism do our rishis say that “God” created the universe? Hindu knowledge is most consistent with science. Not just that, Hindu knowledge is based on nature and logic and is more Intelligent than science. And btw, all the current bases of your “modern” science lie in Hinduism and it remains inferior to the Hindi system of logic and understanding. But how can we expect that understanding from those trained by western standards?
No other knowledge system has been able to understand Ishwar tattva better than Hinduism.
The difference between current form of science and Hinduism is that the former only acknowledges pratyaksha PramAna (direct evidence) and is based on the belief that the whole creation and universe is materialistic in nature. It is because of this “belief” and limitation that it has placed on itself, that today the Physics research stands stumped and at a crossroads. The understanding by the west for Quantum physics is derived from Vedanta while it continues to deny the non material basis of the creation. And they are therefore NOT able to deal with consciousness because consciousness or the God element (ultimately) is non material in its nature. Hinduism never had a problem with this because its perspective is based on a more robust logic system and sees that the spiritual and the scientific are not separate but part of the same understanding of the creation.

As per Bhagavad geeta there is nothing called GOD but Paramatma. And Paramatma isn't a supernatural being. So 'God created all this' shouldn't be interpreted as some being did this with a magic wand or spell.

You get into this Upanishad that Veda. It's as stupid as when someone is talking about uplifting of women in society you start talking about how women are treated in Sri Lanka.
