I got this exact Crosstrek in October. I absolutely love the Alpine Green. I ordered mudflaps as an accessory and tinted the front windows after it arrived from the factory. It's beautiful. My only complaints are that the US model doesn't come with a heated steering wheel like the Canadian model does, and I couldn't get a remote start key fob from the factory for some reason (you have to use their app for remote start). This is my 2nd new car purchase and I love it so much already. Can't wait for snow ❄☃

@@jeffmacey6482 Since most Subaru dealers sell at MSRP and often times less if you use the Subaru VIP program, I wouldn't expect the Crosstrek to drop in price in the future. The 2024 model year has already received a mid-year price increase from the manufacturer. It isn't going to go down.

I have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. I'm the only owner and I've put roughly 60K miles on it. I love it! It gets great gas mileage and it performs great in the snow. I'm 6'2, so no worries fitting in the car. Someone that tall might have issues in the backseat though. The new 2.5 liter engine piques my interest because I would like a little more power and still get the same gas mileage basically. I would classify the power of my 2018 as adequate.

We need a Crosstrek WRX in Oasis Blue. It would be all the car we would ever need. Or at the very least Subaru should make a competent regular hybrid Crosstrek using Toyota hybrid components like they're doing with the all new Forester.

There was a Crosstrek hybrid with the first generation (2013), but it didn't do well. Maybe it was because the fuel economy wasn't significantly better than the non-hybrid models to justify its significantly higher price.

I love the cladding on my Crosstrek!! I've had someone let a shopping cart roll into me and I got only 1 little scratch on my bumper and then the cart rolled into the cladding and stopped with no scratches at all. I had another probably mentally ill person ram my Crosstrek with a shopping cart in a Co-op parking lot with no scratching because he hit the cladding!! Questioning if one or both situations might have been a theft attempt. Just be sure to keep your car doors locked!!

Agreed. I would prefer a non CVT option. I get it, not many people want a manual besides me. Yes that is true. But the thought of how expensive($8k) it's gonna be to replace that CVT if planning to utilize that 3500 lb towing capacity? Just don't see that CVT lasting even close to 100k miles if you tow a 2000 or so lb small trailer/teardrop 10-15 times a year. If you're not planning to take advantage of the towing capacity then I could see taking the plunge on seeing how long that CVT could or might last.

I would not buy any Subaru with a CVT. I own a 2020 Outback and the CVT went out at 35,000 miles. Garbage. Too bad Toyota doesn’t make a similar vehicle. Great car, awesome concept. Engines burn huge amounts of oil and the transmissions are garbage. I’ll pass.

Evidently not, since the Crosstrek is the best selling model in the subcompact CUV segment by a huge margin. The presenter is right here. The current Subaru CVT is very good at its intended job. It's smooth, quiet, doesn't feel weird, and yields good fuel mileage. The average driver probably wouldn't know it's a CVT unless you told them. Speaking from personal experience as a 2023 Crosstrek owner. The 182hp 2.5L and TR580 CVT auto is a great package overall for doing normal daily runabout stuff. I really like it, and my other cars are enthusiast collector cars.
