    This is a strange field. I think employers are confused when hiring for analysts. A lot of job postings for systems analysts are basically just programming jobs. Most of the job postings don't even include analyst duties but rather just programming duties. Not sure why then do they just not open the positions as programmers or developers. I went to school and studied Computer Information Systems and studied systems analysis and design but very minimal programming so how could I be an analyst if I don't have that much programming knowlege?

      So true! This is why here I focused on system analyst (in a traditional sense). However, tech fields undergo changes over time, and now everything is centered around data science. Consequently, being a system analyst also involves skills like programming and data analysis. Nevertheless, there is still a significant demand for genuine system analysts.

      Sorry, but if you dont like programming you just shouldnt get into IT ...

      @@tustak In case you just woke from under a rock, a whole section of IT has absolutely nothing to do with programming. I use to work for a company where a programmer didn't know how to install Windows on a computer. Plus, I mentioned nothing about not liking programming. The argument is that what is advertised as this career in College/Universities/Technical Schools is not what the actual job is in real life. Not sure why this simple argument is hard to understand.

      @@yiaxiong7864do you think that programmer was a good example of someone who should get employed? I think your reference speak for itself.

      @@tustak I'm sure he was excellent at HIS job, programming. IT is a large field. If you think you are required to know all the areas of IT because you havea a role in the field, you've been lied to.

    Is Solutions Analyst same as System Analyst / Business Analyst?

    • @3shagh
      @3shagh 3 роки тому

      Srikanth solution analyst does a little bit of both business and system analyses jobs. But to b honest with you, it is expected from system analysts to know a bit about business analysts jobs and vice versa. These definitions getting blurry in newer positions.
