I like it for the sleeper look tbh. Take the "Plaid" decal off and destroy everything on the road basically. I agree about the Model 3 and Model Y....everyone has one like everyone had V6 Mustangs, Chargers, Camaros down here 5-6 years ago.
Well he said that it used to cost $150k and it’s now less than half, so $150k/2 = $75k. Right now there are used plaids as low as $58k with high miles, $67k with under 15k miles. So he paid somewhere between probably $60k - $74k
@@sasukesuite1crazy how we can have a car that reaches 300km/h in less than 15 seconds for less than $70K. 10 years ago this would have been impossible.
@@akhilsharma2712 Yup, not just in a straight line though. The Model S Plaid can complete the Nurburgring in the exact same time as a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo S, which is among the best track cars out there. On shorter tracks such as the Laguna Seca raceway it’s as fast as the GT3 RS. The reason why it’s slower on the Nurburgring is because it’s a long track (more than 20KM) and it will throttle the power halfway, but even with the throttling it’s still much faster than most other cars.
I read somewhere the Model S is the second most depreciated car in the world. One other disadvantage you'll find about the Model S is that Tesla hype focuses on the 3 and Y for all updates/upgrades. S and X always get shafted. Still, owning one of these bad boys is an out of this world experience.
Not sure how these people come with such statements. The car was only very expensive in the beginning of the producition cycle, before the major ramp up. Today, it costs about 90k without the savings
The most important thing i did to mine was upgrade the brakes!! The stock brakes for that year's model is extremely dangerous and should never have been on that car..
I disagree, i would rather buy from a private seller. Because if you know, what you are looking for, then you can look it over, drive it, with the owner. And no pressure to buy, unlike dealerships. Plus. They do add there cost to the used cars
Tesla lowered the price of the Plaid over the years. The early Plaids were indeed ~130K new for the 2021 and 2022 model years. The price got as low as $89,990, but now it's $94,990. That is not a promotional price, it's the price of a new one, period.
Bro, what aare you talking about. I don't remember this car ever costing that much. In fact, only at the beginning, when this car was just unvailed waas it over 100,000 USD. Today, a new Model S Plaid costs about 90,000USD brand new, without the savings.
@@normsantos144 That was only at the beginning. Tesla decided instead of running at a loss to just ride the wave. It was not a secret that the prices would fall down. It is not because Tesla Model S Plaid is depreciating. In fact, the Plaid, even second hand, is priced very very high
From 2018 - 2021, Tesla model S Plaids were around 130k+ new. The prices have now significantly dropped thanks to manufacturing efficiency and competition of its own mid tier models 3 and Y.
These cars are in the 40k -50k range now used. Few months theyll be in the 30s
I will certainly be in line 😊
Yeah. But why its resale value is dipping this low?
I’ll buy one if they hit the 30’s for sure (depending on insurance cost I suppose)
@@niyazzmoithu20All cars depreciate a ton, I’d imagine that Tesla had it overpriced crazy when it released
The problem I have with the Plaid is that it should look different from the standard model! They should make it look more sporty like an AMG or M car!

I never put the badges on my 2018 model. 3. Everybody thinks it's a base model until I blow by the a Corvette
I drove one of these for a week and nobody on the road really wants to mess with you 😆

Good video 💯 if you buy from Tesla you get a 1-year warranty added to the standard one. It starts once the original factory warranty is out.

Depends on what you’re doing. For track use yes the carbon ceramic brakes are needed, for daily driving the standard brakes are more than fine
About $65,000 used for this car. I’m gonna buy a plaid x -crazy fast acceleration and allegedly fun

there 80k NEW not 150k !!!!!!!!!
90k now but not when this car was new. They started at 130k
