Lol hilarious that a opposing teams highlights hit your feed at all. What did they do? Brewers fan that's tired of living in our shadow trying to replicate our system? Meta fan upset we forced a rebuild? Phillies fan ready to talk about their once a decade division win before it's done?
Win or lose I'll always be a Braves fan.

Agreed we just seem to can’t out things together and get on roll this year. All injuries, offense being inconsistent consistently outside of Ozuna… pitching outside of Lopez and Sale and has been bad. I’m still hoping we can secure a wild card but man not looking good

Good win for the Braves tonight and a big game for Matt too
The one thing that can take my mind off anything negative is a Braves win. Especially after snapping a six game losing streak. Congrats guys, y’all deserve it. Win or lose, we will riding til the wheels fall off. Chop on! Keep giving it your best and let the chips fall where they may.
Man they needed this bad. Some winnable games coming up, lets get them!

- *I REALLY Don't know how to Evaluate Fried's Start Tonight.* On One Hand, He Only Went 5 Innings and Allowed 5 Runs (4 Earned) on 7 Hits, Walking 3 in the Process due to Uncontrollable Pitches. On the Other Hand, 2 of those Runs were the Result of a HORRIBLY BOTCHED Play in Center Field... So I can't say it was Good. Nevertheless, he gets a No-Decision, Keeping him at 7-6, but his ERA Stands in at 3.56. We need him to get back to MAXIMUS Status Someway...
- *Is it fair to say NOBODY Won the Bummer Trade?* After being given a 3-Run Lead, Bummer proceeds to hand it right back to the Rockies, Allowing 3 Runs on 4 Hits and FAILING to Finish the 6th. His ERA is 7.20 through the Month of August so Far.
+ *Thankfully, the rest of the Bullpen REMEMBERED what their Job was.* Johnson, Jimenez, and Iglesias Combined to FINISH the final 2 1/3 Innings, SILENCING the Rockies while allowing just 1 Hit and NO Walks while Striking Out 4. Pierce Johnson gets the Win in Relief, Striking Out Kris Bryant to NEUTRALIZE the Threat in the 6th, and Allowing 1 Hit in the 7th. Iglesias gets his Puyoth (24th) Save, Pitching a Clean 9th while Earning a K.
ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 8 Runs (7 Earned), 12 HIts, 3 Walks, 14 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed.
*3-6 with Runners in Scoring Position, 3 Men Left on Base... 11 Runs and 11 Hits Total... Those are Numbers I have NOT seen in awhile.*
- *Austin Riley got the Offense started with a Bases-Loaded Walk in the 3rd.* He'd Finish the Game 0-4, but you have to get things started somehow. Riley falls to a .262 Average with an OPS of .795.

He was phased out of the Braves' Outfield Depth Last Year, but I'm glad to see him thriving still in the Majors.

Seriously... Despite the Braves looking ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE... We're still in the Playoff Picture SOMEHOW...*

THE FINAL ROUND of this 3-Game Showdown between the Braves and Rockies will take place under the Afternoon Skies of Coors Field.
Kyle Freeland will get the call for the Rockies, Who's coming off an Okay Start against the Mets, in which he allowed 3 Runs on 4 Hits, Walking 2 and Striking Out 7 through 4 2/3 Innings, earning a No-Decision in the Process.
*Meanwhile, it will be up to SPENCER SCHWELLENBACH, who will take up Battle Stations for the Braves in a CRUCIAL Game in the Mile-High City. Schwellenbach is coming off a Tough No-Decision, in which he allowed 3 Runs on 6 Hits, Walking NONE and Striking Out 10 in 7 Innings of Masterful Work... But not getting a Win.*

I’m with you on Bummer & they may put Laureano on the DL & bring him back in September for another chance. I believe it was his leg that he hurt earlier in the game that affected his running in for the ball that dropped. I could be wrong.
I actually prefer him over Duvall the Strikeout King-who I don’t know that they’ll DFA him at this point (feelings over performance)
They should have before the AllStar Game. Alas…😡 We’re almost to expanded rosters, so I’m guessing they won’t do anything with him. But I definitely can see them leaving Adam off the playoff roster. Will depend on the health of our other outfielders. But he’s simply played himself out of consideration.
My biggest issue is with Merrifield flipping his bat out of frustration and jogging to first on the fly out-turned error. He should have ended up on 2nd.
Sure he stole 2nd & scored on Soler’s beautiful hit! Finally a Brave didn’t try to do to much, but he went with the pitch & hit it to right. Hopefully the rest of the team was watching.
Back to Whit…he’s a veteran for Pete’s sake. He has to be on 2nd after the error. As a veteran-it’s the optics.
You’d think he would play at a 110% effort with the playoffs almost here. I’m sure he would have been kept on the team when Ozzie comes back, especially with rosters expanding soon. He can play most positions and he supposedly has speed. I’m not sure we’ve really seen any. But tonight’s play deserved a benching…hopefully he at least gets a proper chew-out from Snit or Walt.
Kelenic….🤬🤬🤬. Ozuna should be his hitting coach. Seitzer has set him back to middle school.

I’ve never been one who says things like slumps, etc are to be blamed on coaches. It’s the players who stand in the box.
But our offense has been 🤬 basically for the whole season. And if your job is to help the players with their hitting, and there hasn’t been consistent hitting from anyone other than Ozuna, I don’t see how you keep your job.
I don’t agree with the offensive philosophy either, as they’ve drilled into the players that they’re a team that basically sits back waiting for a 3-run homer and so the guys are constantly swinging for the fences, resulting in more pop-ups and strikeouts than homeruns.
It was pretty doubtful that they would repeat the offense of 2023, as it was one of those once a century deals. But we also shouldn’t have fallen this far off a cliff. As this season progressed and the numbers weren’t there, they were swinging even harder, and they hardly ever with RISP & less than 2 outs, tried not to do too much & just put the ball in play-especially hitting to their opposite side.
Nope…..just kept popping up or striking out, leaving runners stranded.
Which means apparently Seitzer was never even suggesting the different approaches.
Oh darn, thought of one more thing: there’s a tool that should be in our speedsters toolbag: bunting for a base hit. I’m not saying to do it every game. But if they’re in a slump, the team offense is slumping, or the pitcher is dealing, then do it. Our guys are as fast as Jose Reyes and Juan Pierre, who would tear us up by bunting, stealing 2nd & 3rd and would score on hits, groundouts, sac flies and even by squeeze plays.
Again, I’m not saying they have to bunt every game (tho why wouldn’t they just once), I’m just saying they’re not really utilizing their speed and they should be.
As for SB, obviously when healthy, Acuna will have astronomical numbers. But why have Ozzie & Mikee only had highs of 20 in a season. With their speed, it should be double that or more.
Those guys will get their homers like the rest of the team. But there is a reason when players are recognized more if they’re 4 & 5-tool players…like the other tools, their speed is a weapon.

What I enjoyed about this game was all of the home runs and the better team won and that was the Braves.

We won but our pitching is still so unpredictable, how everytime we take the lead our pitching gives up the lead right away, it’s literally everytime.

I'm in the minority but I'm totally ok with watching Max leave 3rd year in a row he's been hurt and not very good down the stretch
Fried is a decent pitcher but I've always felt he is a little overrated.
Yea I think it’s time to move on from max, I like his game, but he’s unreliable when it matters.

Ugliest overall game that I have seen all year, but at least Atlanta found a way to win it. Solar is a nightmare in RF but you have to leave him out there for his bat. Bummer is absolute trash. He's been trash all year. Thank goodness for the Big 🐻
