#AtlantaBraves #Braves #MLB #Baseball #2023 - Спорт
Look at the faces of the fans when Ronald hits that bomb. Even they were in awe. Man, it's so great to be a Braves fan!! I definitely don't take this for granted.
Notes From the Game:
+ MAX FRIED BATTLED THROUGH THICK AND THIN! 5 Innings of 1-Run, 4-Hit Ball, Walking 2 and Striking Out 6 en Route to a No Decision. He Remains at 7-1 with an ERA of 2.64. I'm somewhat questioning the Decision to NOT let him Pitch the 6th though. He had thrown only 87 Pitches to that Point.
- As a Result, The Bullpen Slowly Crumbled, but thankfully, they did NOT completely give away the Game. 5 Pitchers were Needed to Finish the Final 5 Innings, Allowing 5 Runs on 8 Hits, Walking 3 and Striking Out 7. Rasiel Iglesias gets the Win in Relief, Escaping the 9th Despite giving up the Tying Run and allowing a Threat to Loom around. Brad Hand get his FIRST SAVE AS A BRAVE, PITCHING A FLAWLESS 10TH!
ROTATION TOTAL: 10 Innings, 6 Runs, 12 Hits, 5 Walks, 13 Strike Outs, 4 Home Runs Allowed.
Despite a 2-7 Night with Runners in Scoring Position, and Leaving 9 Men on Base, The Braves' Offense Used FIREWORKS AND CLUTCH HITTING TO SQUEAK PAST PHILLY!
+ ANDREW JONES, YOU HAVE COMPANY! MATT OLSON LAUNCHED HIS 51ST SUPER MISSILE OF THE SEASON IN THE 4TH, TYING A FRANCHISE RECORD! He also added a Walk in the 5th and a Single in the 7th, Finishing 2-4! Olson Stands in with a .281/.388/1.007 Line with 51 Home Runs and 128 RBIs in 145 Games! DON'T COUNT HIM OUT IN THE MVP DISCUSSION!
+ ACUNA'S MVP CAMPAIGN CONTINUES IN EARNEST! 1-5 with a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE OFF THE FACING OF THE UPPER DECK IN LEFT FIELD IN THE 5TH! Acuna Stands Firm with a .333/.415/1.001 Line with 37 Home Runs, 97 RBIs, and 65 Stolen Bases through 145 Games!
+ OZUNA FOR COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR! 2-5 With a THREE-RUN SUPER MISSILE IN THE 5TH and a Single in the 7th! Ozuna Holds onto a .267(+.001)/.339(+.001)/.871(+.006) Line with 34 Homers and 81 RBIs in 128 Games!
+ EDDIE MONEY WITH A NIGHT OF HIS OWN! 3-5 with Two Singles, a Double, and the GAME-DECISIVE RBI HIT IN THE 10TH! Rosario Holds Firm with a .267/.320/.799 Line through 128 Games!
+ OTHER NOTABLES: Michael Harris II and Austin Riley Both Notched 1 Hit Each; Arcia and Riley had 2 Walks on the Night, while Olson Managed 1 Walk; Ozzie Albies & Travis d'Arnaud Both had Nights to Forget, Going 0-5 and Striking Out Once.
+ WHAT A WIN! Despite Blowing a 6-1 Lead, the Braves Fought their Way to the 10th and WON IT WHEN IT MATTERED. Bitch all you want about the Bullpen Blowing leads again, BUT LET'S BE REAL, BRAVES COUNTRY: *WE KNEW PHILLY WOULD NOT GIVE UP THE DIVISION WITHOUT A FIGHT, AND THEY ARE CLEARLY SHOWING US WHAT THEY GOT! THIS SERIES SHOWS US WHY WE NEED TO BEAT THE PHILLIES OUT OF THE POSTSEASON PICTURE. IF THEY'RE A NIGHTMARE TO FIGHT NOW..... IT'LL BE EVEN WORSE COME POSTSEASON TIME!*
+ *THE MAGIC NUMBER IS 2 TO WIN THE DIVISION. WE'RE ONLY GOING TO HAVE ONE SHOT TO WIN THIS DIVISION IN HOSTILE TERRITORY... ONE SHOT TO CLAIM OUR DIVISIONAL CROWN ON THEIR TURF.... ONE SHOT TO MAKE IT CLEAR WHO OWNS THIS DIVISION FOR THE 6TH STRAIGHT YEAR.... LET'S SHOW THE LEAGUE WHY PHILLADELPHIA IS THE CITY OF FOUNDATIONAL HATE!*
TOMORROW:
THE FINAL ROUND of this 4-Game SHOWDOWN Between the Phillies and Braves will take Place Under the Evening Skies of Citizens Bank Park.
THE DIVISION CROWN IS ON THE TABLE.... AND THE BRAVES WANT TO RE-CLAIM IT FOR THE 6TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR.
Standing in their way is Cristopher Sánchez, who has started to pitch into form lately for the Phillies, posting a 2-0 Record in August with an ERA of 4.88. He's Coming off a Respectable Outing against the Marlins, in which he Shut Them Down for 5 Innings, allowing Just 4 Hits and 1 Walk while Striking Out 4.
THE MAN TRYING TO PITCH OUR WAY TO THE CROWN? NONE OTHER THAN OUR CY YOUNG CANDIDATE, THE STACHED STRIKER, SPENCER STRIDER! He will be Pitching with REVENGANCE on his Mind, as he got BEATEN AROUND by the Red Birds for 6 Runs on 6 Hits and 3 Walks in just 2 2/3 Innings of Work, and will want to show why HE'S OUR ACE... OUR PITCHING CHAMPION... OUR TOP DAWG.
Can STRIDER and the Braves WIN the Series in Philly and CLAIM THEIR 6TH STRAIGHT NL EAST CROWN?
Or Will Sanchez and the Phillies PREVENT the Celebration on their OWN HOME TURF?
WE WILL FIND OUT AT 6:40 P.M. EDT ON NBC SPORTS PHILADELPHIA (Phillies) AND BALLY SPORTS SOUTH (Braves)!
SoundFX09, Signing Out!
nice notes... and recap, i think snitker over manages sometimes.. like he gets bored and has to do something... i feel like he is also trying to watch over doing his star pitchers this close to playoffs.. and now that they have clinched, but like u said max only threw like 80 some pitches and congrats to olson... BOOM
Dang bro you went X-games mode on the comments😂
Good vibes
Andruw
appreciate it. 🫡
Ronald gonna get that MVP!!
Easily
Its all Mookie Betts. He plays in LA, so he will win it. Ronald may get into the top 10.

All my fellow brave fans sit back and watch these boys win the WS chill
Just like last year! Oh...wait.
We're not going to the WS if the bullpen doesn't do any better than they've been doing. They don't seem to handle stress all that well, though Mr. Hand came in and crushed ASS last night. Still - we're going to see better pitching in the playoffs, and pitching normally can reduce offense.
Philly fans - it'd be in your best interest to quit booing Junior. Sure you can do it, but you're only pumping him up. He WILL make you pay for it. Don't be stupid.
So, you're a glass half-empty kinda guy. Got it. Let Junior know that when you do it in the regular season, it's one thing. But the post-season is quite another thing. @@cornfilledscreamer614
Good win, but we have got to clean up our closing pitching. Phillies have some great hitters but that collapse was just ridiculous.
Joe Jimenez in particular. Tonkin and Iglesias, forgivable even though each allowed single runs. Jimenez...not only did he give up a dinger to Harper, he gave one up to Stott?! Really?! If any one reliever is in the doghouse at the moment it's him.
@@johnathanpatrick6118 Harper may have gotten a homerun but 17 for the season is WEAK for a legend in his own mind .
Glad the Braves won tonight, but they can’t blow leads like that before the start of the playoffs.
Phillies always give us a hard time. Anytime we play them I fully expect a nailbiter.
The bullpen is completely garbage they only have 1 really good bullpen pitcher.
@@bigrooster6893 Was Joe in a deep sleep before pitching? The guy gave up three runs via two homers in one inning. Just pissing a big lead away. Didn’t make Harper work for it and allowed a scrub to burn him.
Snitker is the worst when it comes to leaving a pitcher in the game too long !!!
@@gary50900or taking one out. Fried should've started the 6th.
El real MVP Ronald Acuña Jr 🇻🇪🔥🇻🇪🔥🇻🇪
Going to be a fun playoff series between these two!
They won't be playing against each other
@@AyoGemini Sure they can. If the season ended today, they could meet in the NLDS. If the Phillies can get past the Cubs in the Wild Card round.
I agree they won’t play each other.
@@bzaerial9064a lot of ifs but entirely possible
Idk here in Braves Kuntry we have to stay a we bit worried
Jeez the freakin Phillies wont go away…..way to keep fighten bravos, congrats Matty O-stay hot buddy…..lets keep it goin tomorrows😎
Fried's strikeout of Turner in the 5th was huge.
Bullpen has been letting teams back into the game lately. Going to have to be better in October.
We’ll have Chavez & Dylan Lee back soon
@@Dontevista4lee has been back and he’s been terrible
maybe some of these starters who were filling in.. would be better RPs, winans, dodd, unless they both are back in AAA ?
Yea u had thought about vines for the pen as well. Didn’t Lee just get hurt again?
Go Braves!!
Nerve racking game.
I wish they showed the bottom of the 9th more. Sure, I was frustrated that the Braves blew the lead, but it was first and second with no outs, so any hit likely wins the game for the Phillies. But we got the strikeout, and then Riley made a great play to start the inning-ending double play. It was also impressive to not give up any runs in the 10th with a man on third and just one out. The pitching came through in the end, as well as Rosario's terrific at bat in the 10th. Also big congrats to Olson for #51. Olson had 8 home runs in his last 10 games. Acuna also has been on fire since getting married.
Phillies have can have their milestone moments the win means more.
The Braves had milestone moments in this game too... plus the win
@@willpina but those also mean less than the win. When the season is over milestones mean more than they do now.
Olson and Acuña? Tying the franchise record in HRs? And every HR Acuña hits and every SB he gets is a record.
Let’s Go! 2 to go! #FortheA
i know bullpens wont be great every night.. the odds are not there.. its bound to happen but damn it...its frustrating when u see your ace pitch a solid good game.. i wont say it was GREAT he got a win taken away from the bullpen tho, and raisel who is soooo streaky, gets the WIN, why cause he was still the active pitcher when the braves took the lead in the 10th, and then they brought Hand in, sooo dumb the way they rules are.. Wins and losses should just go to starters, or they have a no decision,
i saw the score was 6-1 and thinking hell ya... then bam 6-6
He record let’s go boys WHAT A SEASON 👏🫵🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓
I love how the whole bench stands up to watch Acuna's bomb!
What a game 🎉
If the Braves best arms in the pen can't hold a 5 run lead in September. How they goin to hold a lead come October?!?!?! Great ERA but it has been shaky to sat the least since the break.
What has happened to the bullpen lately? If this is what we've got going into the playoffs, I'm extremely nervous...
And Iglesias has blown 2 save ops in a row to the team that put us out of the playoffs last year. Probably should have spent money on a great closer.
@@mightbegeniusiggy has been lights out the past couple months he will every closer runs into a rough patch camilo doval one of the best closers in baseball blew 3 save opps in a row it happens
@@mightbegeniusYes the Braves let Kenley Jansen walk last year because they didn't want to pay his asking price, that may not have turned out to be a wise move.
@@lawrencescott1048 Jansen isn't really doing any better in Boston right now
As a Braves fan, those bells in Philly are intimidating as Hell in the late innings!
We ready this year Philly come on with it!!!!
🏁⚾🪓✊🏿keep up the great work my boys!!!!Go Braves!!!!!!
The bullpen stole that win from Max bad time to start pitching like this.
Jimenez in particular. He alone coughed up 3 runs in what, 1/3 or 2/3 inning??
Phillies keep lighting Iglesias up. That's setting up an ominous scenario if we face them in the playoffs.
It's only those three batters too. The rest of the team he doesn't have issues with
Let's go let's go braves Nation cuz
Lived up to the hype!💯
As a braves fan the phillys a good ass team and they bats get hot at the most random time. That felt like a playoff game
Oh, Good game, Whew! Good/ Go Braves game video
Mfkn Braves👏🏼🔥🔥🔥
Alex better shore up the bullpen because the Braves can't afford to keep giving up all these runs late in games. And it's not only against the good teams.
The Braves have a great lineup to battle during the playoffs. Their starting pitching has been above average most of the year. Their bull pen is starting to worry me a little, I've seen this before, and the closer hmmm? You cannot out homer and hit every team every day, you just can't,the bull pen needs to wake up and be more consistent for sure!
this has been the Braves for years. Even in 2021. But this year is different. A record breaking year. I'm not worried one bit. Braves will win the WS.
Iglesias is fine. Dude's ERA is like 2.70 or something ridiculous. And the bullpen has either the 3rd or 4th best ERA in the league. And fun fact. The Braves closers have the second most saves in the league at 47. Our Bullpen is really good. It's just the Phillies. This ball park has always given the Braves some issues.
Crazy thing this Andruw Jones hit his 51st HR in the same ballpark.
Turner freaking kills us
2 more wins
Great to see a game where the lead changes hands a few times.
Bullpen making me feel like I’m watching a falcons game 😂
😂😂
Hopefully that won't be the case this season. 😆😆😆
Attn Bullpen: Put that coffee down. Coffee is for closers only.
One more thing. It's stupid the Iglesias gets both wins just because he was the pitcher when the took the lead. He nearly blew it for the braves both times. The wins should be credited to Charlie and Max
Good game , both teams need some relievers. I believe Marsh will come out of his slump tonight .
Anyone else frustrated over the commercials being played over the beginning of the order. Came back from a commercial and one man was already down and another KS only got the last pitch. Come on who wants to see a MBL replay instead of the game.
Joe Jimenez needs to be sent back to the Minors, He can't even pitch! How many games is he going to give The opposing team runs
Maybe not but up to the point of this game Jimenez has been solid for the Braves for quite sometime now, one bad outing and now it's talk about sending him back down, not right, my issue comes in when a reliever is constantly bad, anyone can have an off night.
@@tracycase4520 Who died and left you The chief minister?
@@tracycase4520 Your response isn't even required
It's just feedback, now the pitching coaches have things the tweak just in time for the playoffs. I'm pretty sure we'll see the Phillies again in the postseason.
I said it when Iglesias came back from the injury. I don't think he is it. I hope this is just a very rough week, better to have it now than in the playoffs.
His ERA and saves beg to differ son
@@soulknife20 have you watched the games or just looked at stats? Because he has had to work out of jams (he put himself into) quite a bit.
@@johnwheeler6839 I've watched 125 games this season for the Braves. Yes. I have seen Iglesias get into jams. Yet he 90% of the time gets out of those jams. And there have been games where he was lights out, more so than the jams he puts himself into. He's a good closer.
Concerning Eddie, he seems to be a player who needs "the moment" to be at his best. Soler was like that, too.
As a big braves fan I have to say the Phillies worry me the most. Max sure got a bad deal after a great performance 😢

That bullpen is the weakness of the braves
1 MORE WIN TO WIN THE NL EAST DIVISION ..
LET'S GO BRAVES!! ..
Braves bullpen is bad and getting worse. Can't outslug every playoff team. Need to find some consistency...and fast!
They need to go back to 9 minute recaps
Love to see it can’t wait to watch us shit on the phills tn in person #bravesnation
Phillies gave the Braves all they could handle. Good series.
I think there's one more game
Despite the numbers which state the Braves have a good bullpen, the bullpen is the biggest weakness (all season) for the Braves. Not looking promising for the playoffs. But, enjoy the moment as it's been a great season.
Why ya'll doom and gloom? There's a reason the Braves have 95 wins. Pitching and hitting. Hard to have that many wins without both
So the moral of the story is that starters have to pitch as long as they can in postseason because this bullpen will blow it anyways. And that minter is the only reliable bullpen pitcher now and that’s it
Yeah. No.
After this they play the Marlins and the Phillies again this time at Truist. We're not done with Philly yet
The Braves pitching staff is either feast or famine.
I’m afraid the Phillies are gonna do the same thing they did last year. Heat up right before October, win the wildcard and knock the braves off.
Getting three outs after giving up homer in 9th should have made highlights.
Joe Jimenez...ughhhh has been more inconsistent than Charlie Morton...we need better relievers...
Yep, this guy is turning into Luke Jackson. Fool gave up 3 runs on two homes. A 1 pitch hr to Harper and Stott the Scrub, Joe gave up a two run homer. Joe needs to get himself together, Iglesias can’t work with that (he needs to get it together also).
@@jeremiah_12 Which is the first time I can remember he's done that.
@@jeremiah_12 These reactions baffle me somewhat, this is the 1st time Jimenez has really screwed up a lead, he's been pretty solid for the Braves for a long time now, when you speak of his "inconsistency" I think that you are confusing him with someone else, the guy had an ERA of under 3.00 before last night, he'll bounce right back.
Them guys looked so disappointed after that loss ahh well😂😂😂
Braves should have left Max Fried in there longer.
Braves really need to turn it back up a notch. This kinda play won’t last long in the playoffs. I’m still suspect of their 5th starter & the bullpen. Especially on days where they just can’t seem to get their bats going.
It's fairly rare to use a 5th starter much in the playoffs. By that point you're just hoping a guy can get 3 innings in before turning to the bullpen, anything more is a gift. But the bullpen has definitely taken a step back the last few weeks. Can't let teams back into game ls like this when October rolls around.
So, you say what the Braves is doing won’t last in the playoffs but do you think what Philly is doing will last? They’re taking L’s while playing out of their minds….their relievers get hit too.
"I think he's going to get 200 tonight."
Sweet Homer guess, Kruk. Looks like you were wrong as usual
Our bullpen almost gave another away.
Smoltz on Bally> Smoltz on a national broadcast
Is it just me, but the Braves bullpen has been giving up many runs lately. I want to avoid playing Philly in the playoffs.
ACUÑA MVP 2023
Hopefully we can win the division tonight in front of the Philly fans lol
Juiced balls
Joe is terrible man, he’s like Luke Jackson in that he’ll almost blow a big lead. Up 4, let’s give up a 1 pitch bomb to Harper, don’t even make the guy work for it. The unforgivable happened giving up a bomb to the scrubs like Stott and letting the other scrub get on before him… Bohm is a scrub too. Raisel is mad overused but “at least he gave up a homer to a legit star and made him work for it.” Seriously, Iglesias should have had a 2 or 3 run lead…wish Chavez was back.
That's the first time I can remember this season that Joe did that.
I'm sorry but Jimenez trying his hardest to give away the lead the TEAM built. That's one thing I hate about baseball, 7 innings of great team play all being destroyed by one person. Ugh.
Lybia Floods = Castellanos Homerun?
Braves have a closer problem.
Bullpen 2 days in a row just trying to lose the damn games for us!!!!!! WAKE UP COACH.....not gonna fly come playoffs
Seriously!!
should have never been this close, The Braves pitching will give them a first round exit in the playoffs unfortunately
They won’t be playing in the first round
Dang he sound disappointed...
uncharacteristic performance from joe jimenez
Wonderful game. It will surely happen again in the playoff, the Braves should have prepared cos the Phillies are coming on strong.
And if they do make it to the series they’ll show again that they ultimately didn’t belong by being beat again.
Bullpen is gonna sink the Braves in the postseason..
Wawawawawa. You lose Philly. Noe tell your fans to stop booooing the opposing teams.
Why dose the Bullpen get paid? Next question, why dose the bullpen love beating they"re own team more then the others?
The Phillies lineup is probably the second or third best in NL. They do similar things the Braves do, don't miss mistakes thrown over the mid-plate.
No lead is safe in that extremely hitter friendly Citizens Bank ballpark.
I didn't think about that.
Snitker is part of the problem taking pitchers out after 87 pitches and trusting that bargain basement bullpen......SMH
The bullpen has been great all season. 162 games in a year, you're going to run into rough patches. Yeesh man. Get over yourself.
@soulknife20 The bullpen has been great against SUBPAR TEAMS. If you look at their ERA against potential playoff teams, it much higher. It's ok to be positive, but let's not be delusional.
@@mlchachereUmm. Did you not watch the Dodgers series? Or the Rays series? Or like any series?
@soulknife20 I can tell you're one of those shallow surface level tweet minded casuals. Anybody with a half a brain knows the Braves' weakness is their pitching despite the team ERA especially against good opponents. But go ahead thinking the Braves are INVINCIBLE.......SMH
Thanks trea turner for hitting that HR , helped me hit my 35-1 parlay for $500+ beans
Phillies are crapping the bed when it matters the most. Their pitching is pure hot garbage
The Braves must have lost last night with all of the crying from fans
Seeing-eye single loses it. That's baseball, but let's calm down, Braves announcers. Your team got a little bit lucky there.
Much of baseball is centered around luck and announcers are going to be announcers particularly when their team scores.
Okay you think that If The Atlanta Bravo's has a ten run lead That they can put Joe Jimenez in the bottom of the eight inning and win the game
Jimenez gotz to go!
he's been one of the best pitchers out of the pen. what is with some of these Braves fans. one bad game from a pitcher and they automatically think the pitcher is a piece of shit.
2nd best K/9 within reliever core...I wouldn't give up on him yet. I'm glad it's happening now, so he has time to make the adjustments b4 playoffs.
@@rwwilson21 That's what I'm saying. Braves fans are spoiled because of the 20 years of lights out pitching we had in the 90s and early 2000s.
@@soulknife20 And I'm a Braves fan. when it comes to sports I've been spoiled my whole life. my favorite team, the spurs, went 22 straights years of a 60% of winning their regular season games, never missing the playoffs and 5 championships. my second favorite team, the Green Bay Packers(for which I'm one of the owners), we had Favre in the 90's and than Rodgers. Now we have love and he was awesome in his first game as the starting QB.
Now for the past couple of years, the spurs have sucked, I don't care. of course since I don't live in San Antonio anymore, I can't watch them on a daily bases, but I still check how they are doing.
