Elvis loved the sound reverb in the large showers in Vegas. He’d get his male back up group, fully clothed, as the sang gospels in he’s penthouse room, to the shower to experience the sound reverb. This was just him. All about experiencing the sounds of music.

Tom was so devastated when Elvis died. He wrote a tribute song for him & just recently on his last album he wrote another song about Elvis and it’s video shows Tom watching a home movie reel of px of Elvis, he and Elvis and the wives because they all hung out with each other. He looked so sad that my heart ached for both of them. Elvis was so beloved but he thought no one would remember him and Tom misses him to this day. May Elvis RIP & perhaps one day they’ll meet up and sing together again. Many photos out there of Tom & Elvis together.

Elvis also met the Beatles in 1965, in Los Angeles, for the first and only time, at the house he rented while making his current movie. The Fab Four were on their annual American tour; Presley was the only U. S. performer they were really interested in meeting, at least according to John Lennon. The few photos of the event show girls hiding in the trees near Elvis's house. Sadly, no one thought to turn on a tape recorder as the King jammed with the lads from Liverpool.

Elvis was well known as a prankster who never took himself seriously according to many interviews ive seen with people from his inner circle.... you can imagine him sneaking into Tom's room and doing this.. remember, Elvis was basically a prisoner of his own success. He would probably do stuff like this to "break out" so to speak. There are funny stories of him wearing a disguise in Vegas and watch Ann Margarets show and would proceed to prank her in various ways...Lol

I love old stories about legends meeting each other. This reminds me of a story Michael Caine told about at the beginning of his career he did a movie that was popular at the time and he's staying at a Hotel checking in at the lobby and John Wayne walks in. In full Cowboy attire, and looks at him and says "Aren't you that Michael Caine from *insert movie here* I loved that movie!" And Michael Caine is like "Is this really happening?!" 😆

If you prefer ballad songs then look at these:
My Way, Suspicius minds, In the Ghetto, Memories, If I can dream that is a tribute (parts of it is taken directly from the I can dream speach by MLK) to Martin Luther King JR and Robert Kennedy, Walk a mile in my shoes, Make The World Go Away, Bridge Over Troubled Water and American Thrillergy, Hurt, Are you lonesome tonight (laughing versin, or not), remember that he sang over 700 songs...
There are some videos of when Elvis joking and messing up, he loved to joke around and pretend that he did not have control, but he had total control, he acctually conducted his musicans and back up choirs all the time !!
He is the only person to have 2 records gone to sell Gold and 2 to to sell Platinum since he died.
Elvis is also in almost every genre of Music Hall of Fame, no one else is in more then perhaps 2.
Not to bad for someone that did not have any singing lessons ever, right?
    .
Something else that people tend to overlook:
He always conducts his musicans and backup singers, he never gets credit for being able to do that...
Then imagen you are a singer, you have great musicans, you have great backup singers, no Guest Artists, no Autotune, no Lipsink and no Fireworks, now all is about your skill, could you handle that pressure?
That is what Elvis did in over 1000 concerts, despite having problems with his health, like his Glaucoma, the headlights must have hurt his eyes like crazy...
He sang over 700 songs, that in it self is amazing...

If both of you are going thru Conan's rabbit's hole, he is one of the best hosts of late night. I believed that Conan ended the show about year ago. Now, Conan has a podcast called "Conan Needs a Friend". Back to Elvis, he was playful with his family, friends, and his group especially with his backup vocalists. One vocalist, Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston hired by Elvis in 1969. Whitney actually met Elvis when she was a child. This gig with Elvis was her final with the group. Cissy return as recording artist.

I really hate this Elvis impersonators in his cheaps jumpsuits, they look like silly clowns … When you want more know from Elvis life, they should see the movie. Its the best movie about Elvis I ever seen. You can feel the sensitiv human, Elvis was. You can learn about the american history, the long way Elvis had to go from the hate from so many people in the early years (Elvis the Pelvis) to the love from so many people. His life was a rollercoaster…
Sorry for my bad englisch. Its not my language.
I‘ve seen the Elvis Movie 4 times. I‘m a fan since 46 years and saw many Concerts from him, his movies, heard his music hundred thousend times… I met Priscilla and had smalltalk with her, met his friend George Klein two times, was in Graceland many times, in Tupelo, Nashville Studio B, Las Vegas International Hotel (later Hilton).
