Two great icons and legends Tom Jones and Delilah . No one will ever sing this song as well as Tom Jones. And still, in 2024, he is a power house . I pray God will bless him with many more years
His eyes captured the innocence. & mischievous nature of a child. That may be the power he had on people. And still do today. May he rest in peace. And all the ugly people claiming he was this or that. Do not attack people unable to defend themselves. Cowards belittle the great. He gave pleasure by his acting.
Tom leaves no doubt as to why the call him "The Voice!!" He works around these songs today, as most singers his age do, but even so, he still sounds incredible. There will never be anyone who comes close!
Well...Tom Jones has an incredible, powerful, baritone voice, but he is *not* someone you'd ever want a relationship with if you are a woman. Epic level cheat & skank.
Such a bold and unique voice. Always thought he was cheesy and funny but I picked up one of his live albums at a thrift shop and its a blast to listen to!
I recall watching this performance while staying over at my grandma's house. Looking back, I recall her watching intently, and I kept asking her to change the channel, but she would just keep saying "shoooosh, Ronnie, please." He's saying a couple more songs I believe, and I learn later on from my mother that my grandmother loved Tom Jones, and Engelbert Humperdinck. I'm thinking of you now Grandma, rest in peace. 🕊️

I remember, at the end of the 60s, Tom jones was doing a concert in a stadium, in the city where I lived, in Brittany, Brest. I did not attend the concert, but at the end of the day and from my window, I heard the echo, very strong, carried by the pinky-evening air, of the song "Delilah". One of the most beautiful memories of my life. Thanks Tom! Really, thank you !

The first time I heard this I fell apart ! My heart melted and I couldn't stop crying. I was engaged at 18, the love of my life was diagnosed with brain cancer. I think of him and miss him each and every day of my life. I'm now 62.
I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind She was my woman As she deceived me, I watched and went out of my mind My, my, my, Delilah Why, why, why, Delilah I could see, that girl was no good for me But I was lost like a slave that no man could free At break of day when that man drove away, I was waiting I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door She stood there laughing I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more My, my, my, Delilah Why, why, why, Delilah So before they come to break down the door Forgive me Delilah, I just couldn't take anymore She stood there laughing I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more My, my, my, Delilah Why, why, why, Delilah So before they come to break down the door Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take anymore Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take anymore

George Michael died? Such a tragic life but beautiful voice I agree

This is being played at my Dads funeral next week, he was 90 & would have been 91 on November 21st. He loved this song ❤

BEST description of Tom Jones as an artist & performer
Bit gay
Pretty sure you just listen to him, but sure.

So much emotion in his voice , pierces the heart !

I am 55 y old now. I like this sing since I was a child. Wonderful voice
As a child in the 80’s, I grew up listening to music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s... it was my father’s love of music that I took most from him.. he just passed away on sept 18. I might not be able to talk to him anymore but his music speaks to my soul...
I feel your pain. may he R.I.P
YOU GOOD DAUGHTER
Tom Jones! one of the kind, nowadays, we don't have singers like this.
06 June 2024 This is a superb video. Besides Tom Jones, there's the conductor to watch. He's really feeling it, and so am I❤
The conductor is really getting into it.
I was thinking the same...he was having Fun!
I'm still listening to this song!!!! It's about 97 times!!!!?
Tom Jones has arguably the most powerful voice in rock and roll history! I think that Delilah is his best song and Tom Jones had many hit songs!!
He should be in hall of fame along many other classic voices

Two great icons and legends Tom Jones and Delilah . No one will ever sing this song as well as Tom Jones. And still, in 2024, he is a power house . I pray God will bless him with many more years
Absolutely amazing live performance from Tom Jones.
Still listening in 2021.

Absolutely, September 2021 💗
Me too. Grew up with his music as well as Engelbert etc.

I remember my mom watching Tom when I was little...now I'm 60 and I watch Tom, he's fantastic
This is why they called him "The Voice" back in those days.

I am now 80,I still listening the songs .Love Tom.

It’s unbelievable he was only 28 when this was recorded
Tom leaves no doubt as to why the call him "The Voice!!" He works around these songs today, as most singers his age do, but even so, he still sounds incredible. There will never be anyone who comes close!
Once you dive into Elvis's critically acclaimed recordings, it's crystal clear that elvis is on another level entirely

Nothing has change Sir Tom Jones voice is still and always amazing! 👋👋👋
Really. And "Delilah" is a very nice song. I loved it for decades.
Such a bold and unique voice. Always thought he was cheesy and funny but I picked up one of his live albums at a thrift shop and its a blast to listen to!

How about the amazing Green Green Grass of Home ? One of my favorite of his hit songs.
I recall watching this performance while staying over at my grandma's house. Looking back, I recall her watching intently, and I kept asking her to change the channel, but she would just keep saying "shoooosh, Ronnie, please."
He's saying a couple more songs I believe, and I learn later on from my mother that my grandmother loved Tom Jones, and Engelbert Humperdinck.
I'm thinking of you now Grandma, rest in peace. 🕊️
The conductor in the background is also one of a kind.

Ma'am, I'm truly saddened by the loss of your Father, I wanted to let you know that the pain becomes easier with time, God Bless you!
What a voice--natural, no studio help, no auto-tune, just IT!
I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window
I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind
She was my woman
As she deceived me, I watched and went out of my mind
My, my, my, Delilah
Why, why, why, Delilah
I could see, that girl was no good for me
But I was lost like a slave that no man could free
At break of day when that man drove away, I was waiting
I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more
My, my, my, Delilah
Why, why, why, Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah, I just couldn't take anymore
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more
My, my, my, Delilah
Why, why, why, Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take anymore
Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take anymore
