In 10 years this version of the game will be a nostalgic memory
So true!
Yes sir!
I thought the developers already announced that they're 75% finished developing the game already.
Not like Rust, which continues to be updated forever.
@@simonwood8637 not that I know of but if they did say that they may change their mind after how popular it's become!
Yes
Just got this game yesterday and I already have 14 hours played. Something about this game just makes it so addicting.
Yep, couldn't agree more! 😁
I just got off myself from about 14 hours lol
30 hrs + here...very addicting, I've haven't even tackled the second boss yet, got sucked into building, then making Bronze stuff...soon very soon Elder imma comin!
69 hours in a week
Maybe its the sense of valhalla
When hunting be aware of the wind direction, if you are upwind of an animal, they will smell you. I used to have a hard time hunting deer until I noticed this.
That's awesome, thanks!
Dude this game is so detailed, it’s insane
This game is so detailed

Extra tip for mining copper;
What you see on the surface is not all there is. There's actually a lot of copper underneath the ground where you find copper. I spent a good 45 minutes excavating the whole entire site and got about almost 90 copper from one site. It's a good idea to set a little camp right next to where you're mining but not too close to where you'll break it when you're digging. Unfortunately digging with a pickaxe is a bit wonky right now it seems as if you dig straight down you can dig a hole but as soon as you start digging ahead, the dirt will drop down beneath you and you'll have to dig down again. Also have a wheel cart on you, you'll need it. You will go through day night cycles, so place some torches around the site to ward off the minor graylings. It's a good heads up if you're underground cuz you'll start throwing rocks at them and you can hear them. Also you can use wood and platforms to build ladders out of the ground and it will look like a little archaeologist site.
PS I love this game.
Yeah I've started doing this myself actually! :)
Yeah, about 10% of a single copper deposit chunk is buried. And watch out for trolls, greydwarfs and skeletons while mining. Zoom out while mining to have a wider fov to see enemies coming.
It is not worth (timewise) to dig too much around, unless you lack black forest on your starting island. So I prefer doing fast raid on ship now.
@@heyhoe168 Sure. You have to feel out your situation and see what's best for you. Personally 90 to 100 copper in 45 minutes is good for me.
@@Nicholasdross btw, I just realized that stone digged to the air is crushing in one hit. I think it is worth trying digging down the whole copper node this way.
In order to find Burial Chambers in the Dark Forest you can pay attention to the crow sounds, you can find a Burial chamber by following the sounds, it gets higher pitched when you're looking the correct way.
This game has some good details
Thanks for the info!
I'm going to try this. Losing my mind trying to find a dang burial chamber. Got chased by a troll and also found a troll cave. I srsly doubt I could do anything to a troll without any bronze.
Additionally if you see Skeletons, there's an underground chamber nearby.
@@rorwyk you can use bow and kill them easily at the beginning
Played this game for the first time with friends for 10 hours straight and it literally felt like 2. Such a good game
agreed :D
Just downloaded it at 8pm and logging off now at 11pm was only supposed to be on for half hour 😅 and im up early too.
I had 30 hours in 2 days lol, loving it!
Agreed. I played AC Odyssey and 20 hrs felt like such a long time. I am 60hrs in but doesn't feel like it.
i havent had much fun playing. Probably because i have no freinds to play with
When you play with friends be sure to tick the box "visible to other players" in the bottom right corner of the map so you can see each other on the map. I have wasted too much time in the first hours communicating where I am.
You can also middle mouse click on the map to ping your location to other players :)
@@Kysen how to change this key bind?
@@gurb4371 bring the map up and it will be on that menu
Lol! "Nw of eikthyr" by the 2ood
This game is so annoying. I just want to quit my job and play all week long
Im sitting here on monday morning, wondering how i could make me treehouse in the swamp any better... My god this game!
I can't drive around not looking at roofs, walls etc, as it inspires to my building ingame :D
bruh, same feeeels
@@mozes88 you can make a treehouse!?
@@kriiigern777 why do i feel you?
If you enter a dungeon in the black woods or the swamp and stand on the platform near the beginning. Any melee based monsters cannot reach you will run away. If your overwhelmed just run to the platform and stand out if melee range then recharge and get back at it. This has saved me so many times in the catacombs in the swamp.
awesome tip! Ty!
Especially useful trick in the Swamp Crypts when facing *'d Draugrs or poison slimes
Thanks for not dragging this out and talking fast. You did really good on this video it’s nearly perfect.
Glad it was helpful! :)
A few tips that I have not seen any other UA-camr speak on yet. 1.) Earlier Finewood Bow can be made by chopping down basic trees in the meadows and rolling them into the fine wood trees. After they fall into logs roll those into other trees to break them. 2.) Boar stones (The rune stones mentioning the taking of boars) seem to act as a faster spawn area for boar for the area nearby.
Just figured this out. If you deleted a world and you regret it you can get it back easily. Go to your PC/User/Admin/LocalLow/Irongate/Valheim/worlds that is where all your worlds are saved by backup. You will see two files for each world, each ending in .old, click rename and delete the .old from both files and then reboot Valheim. Your world you deleted is back.
Pro tip, it is possible to build a camp fire on the horizontal wooden beams, the ones built with core wood. And those beams can be placed on regular floors, so you no longer need to worry about putting a hole in your floor and raising the ground.
Thanks for this :)
my house got 1000x better. Thanks
Pretty sure this is no longer working
This has been patched out but you can build a fire on stone flooring.
ummm, in my world I have my camp fire on the wood floor with a chimney.. is that not supposed to work?
The simplistic yet beautiful visuals, the beautiful score and ease of play are what keeps me coming back for more. I haven’t played a more relaxing game in so long. I can’t wait to see what else is added to game. The only regret I have is not buying this game earlier.
If you're in a pinch, you can actually take cover behind a rock and shelter yourself from the storm. Pay attention to the wind direction (the little arrow on your minimap). That way you can also keep a fire going without finding/making a roof.
I literally only downloaded the game three hours ago and instinctively built a wood pile to act as a windbreaker for my fire! Glad it actually serves a purpose ha
its showing wind is in another direction though when im on a raft compared to the arrow on the minimap so im confused
Wow! Awesome tip! The more I learn about this game the cooler it gets
Oh shit, the little arrow on the minimap is the Wind's direction. My stupid ass thought it was pointing at something
@@transformlifemusic the wind arrow on the minimap shoes it's direction based on the map itself aways facing north. the thing that show up on the boat is based on your facing, make sure you lineit up and it'll make sense, just takes some getting used to.
A few tips I've discovered: early on those drauger encampents can be a pain. If you can find a nearby troll, they love to smash those guys if you can kite one over. Also, their are chests sometimes hidden under the floor boards.
Also, if you die and are having trouble getting back to your gear, bring something simple with you next time like some wood. Once you die again, go to that wood and grab it, it'll give you a health and stamina buff so you can make it to your real gear.
I carry materials to make a TP whenever I travel across the ocean so I can set up a place if like it. Then when I want to do the other tp at my main base, I die, respawn at home to set it up then go through and grab my gear.
I also discovered you can kill difficult creatures by digging a deep hole, kiting them inside the hole and then they'll get trapped and you can finish them with arrows.
A great game! Hope any of those tips help!
Thanks for these helpful tips! Great ideas :)
can also use trolls to harvest copper, so much faster just be careful when dodging and make sure u have a shield
Rather than dying to get back to your spawn and thereby losing 5% of your xp you can set up the portal beforehand with a tag you know
We've walled our Draugers up, cleared a roof, shoot them from above, and "farm" entrails from the site (assuming there's a drauger nest). A portal set up to return home of course XD
@@mmwoodcockart Do they spawn within the radius of a workbench. I'm thinking you could kill them with spikes maybe?
Thx for being straightforward it is so rare to find.
I try haha. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Surprised to not find a 30 second intro song and then a 3 minute rambling thank you to all viewers of a previous video I know nothing about. I wish people would do that at the END of videos. This guy's gets it.
my thoughts exactly. Super neat guide
And he didn't scream like a girl!
@@Kysen it's very appreciated, subbed for it
I'm usually not even a huge fan of these types of games but I bought it the other week cause my friends wanted me to play with them, and I literally can't stop playing it's so fun. It feels like when I first played Minecraft
3:20 wind direction matters for sneaking up on things, pay attention to the white air streamers around you.
Wind direction is also shown on the minimap. The direction of your body should be opposite the direction of the wind.
Additionally when you use your bow, you can easily see how the wind affects your arrow, I ignored it up until this video. Thanks!
Quick Tip for returning home:
BUILD a teleporter at home and BRING enough material for a 2nd one when you go exploring if you want a quick return to stash your stuff. When you finish putting stuff away, just go through the 1st one and destroy the 2nd to keep the same material for the next return.
Another thing to add to this, to avoid heartbreak, is that you can't bring metal ores through the teleporter. I.e. craft your forges/kilns nearby to ore nodes.
SOMETIMES the game bugs out and you don't get all the materials back after destroying a portal so you get stuck on an island and need to hunt boars to make a raft and take 2 hours to slowly sail back home. Talking from experience ..
@@Korzak86 The only hard material to find is Surtling Core, the other two are quite easy to find tho?
@@Korzak86 I believe you dont get the cores back and I thought it was intentional. In case someone tried to abuse the building mechanics if he had 5 cores and swapped between kilns and smelter
Dont forget to name the one at home too!
The shift clicking in the inventory to determine how much you want to get or put away really helped me. I was saying I wish there was a way to break up the items in the inventory when I was playing
you can tooo ctrl click , it will move your stack , faster than mooving it with the mouse :p
More tips:
You can place up to four of those cooking stations on a single fire.
As you're unlikely to need nearly as much food as you hunt, you can use them for coal so you can delay the need for a furnace for a little while.
Wide rivers can kill you if you don't have the stamina to cross them. You can build a foot bridge with walls and floors. You just need a crafting bench nearby for whatever reason.
Keep both wood arrows and fire arrows on you, and only equip the fire arrows when you really need them, like fighting trolls. Wood arrows are more than enough for hunting, and the occasional dwarf or two.
Skeps are very useful for any random baddie that might come near your place. They will attack the skep, and get killed by the bees.
If you place a crafting bench and chest near a copper vein, you can mine all you want, then drop the stone and ore in there. Then, just pick out however much ore you can carry home, leaving the stone as it's heavy.
When dungeoneering, shoot a fire arrow to light the place up.
I’ve never wanted to call in sick to stay home and play a game so badly
HOW TO GET MOST WOOD: When chopping down trees, dont «finish» it off, chop down all surrounding trees, most often they will fall on each other and take damage, you will be able to finish the logs with 1-2 swings and sometimes they get completely destroyed by the falling trees. This will save you ALOT of time, also it’s very satisfying just swinging once and destroying the logs instead of 3-4 times
Awesome! Thanks for the great tip I will include this in a future video :)
Troll with a tree in hand is very useful also
@@rj1565 do you mean how to kill a trill when it's holding a club?
@@Kysen i think he means kiting the troll into attacking trees for you.
@@Kysen kite a troll around the forest mate they smash the trees down well quick haha
Water doesn't destroy structures. It however does dmg them to 50% health
Strong winds during storms also deals dmg to wooden structures. Stone structures are resistant to wind dmg.
I really needed to hear that! Thanks so much
at least one thing i learned clicking this
Good tips. I can give you some more tips.
1) dont make other kind of pickaxe. Use the horn pickaxe because you only need a workbench to repair it.
2) Troll armor is the most powerfull early game armor you can have easily.
3) when you go to mine use the cart. Beware of weight because the cart gets heavy and its more difficult to move.
4) Before you start mining do a workbench and put 1 wall 1 roof to use it for repair the pickaxe. Also put a campfire to scare the nearby mobs
5) if you have to much resin, replace normal arrows for fire arrows, they do more damage and put the enemy on fire
6) better early game foods are fish, nixe tail, and cooked meat.
7) like i say before. Fire scare some mobs, you can use torchs to fight them.
8) Also mobs have their weakness, for example skeletons are weak agains hits with maces or punches.
There are 3 kind of hits. Cut, piercing, slams.
Spears and arrows piercing
Axe, knife and swords cut
Mace slams
You can also CTRL click to transfer from one inventory to another.
my ass playing tarkov did it accidentally out of habit honestly i love that having a key to quick move and equip items its a smallll QOL thing but i love it
Ty
Thank you. Thank you so very much.
This
Thank you!!
You can put more than one cooking station on your campfire by rotating it thus being able to cook more meat at one time
Thanks bud that's great, I hated cooking because I had so much meat from hunting this will speed things up!
Me and my buddies found out you can cram as much as 5 cooking stations onto a single fire lmao
....when i do that the meat gets stuck under the framing of the hearth, great fr making expensive charcoal but meat not so much, so i started turning the cook station long way across
Bees are good guards for your home. They make noise when enemies are near and engage into combat with them.
Yep i was going outside to kill eiktyhir then came back and saw two grey dwarf and realize that my two beehive are attacking them
some YTbers could easily explain this in 2 hours and you did in 14 minutes.. insane my dude! Much Obliged! :)
If no one knows, rubies and such are sold to the shopkeeper, he’ll show in your map when you get close to him. He sells a lamp for your head and a 150+ carry belt for the gold.
So awesome! I can't wait to find my trader! :D
The merchant can only be found, randomly, in the Blackforest biome. You don’t have to get that close to him, he showed up in my Blackforest biome in an area I wasn’t even near while I was mining silver in a Mountain biome next to the Blackforest, so make sure to open up your map on occasion and if you see the coin purse icon as that marks where he is.
Many say he doesn’t spawn on your starting island, but me and my friends world map both had him in our starting island... so I’m going to say make sure you explore the entirety of your starting island, especially the Blackforest areas.
Also keep your gold stashed somewhere you'll remember. Turns out it gets heavy to more you collect. I'm so use to games not taking coins weight in account as it grows.
Also if you die a second time retrieving your gear you lose it all. Just now lost 950$ weight upgrade from merchant and all my bronze gear and pickaxe all bronze items. A couple were upgraded. Yep... Rage quiting for a few days. The game bugged out and wouldnt collect my gear rapidly clicking on it.
@@TheRAMBO9191 Ah dang that sucks :(
You can also ping the map by pressing the middle mouse button while the map is open, super useful for playing with friends!
Good tip! :)
@@Kysen After digging through the comments, I noticed that you had already elaborated that to the viewers lol! Apologies!
What do you mean by ping the map? Does it reveal explored areas and marked locations?
That cart was news to me. Been doing naked mining runs hah
Instead of using your bow and arrow for bees simply drop a workbench and destroy the building and the hive along with it. Free queen!
Oh. I thought using a workbench was the only way to get those down.
@@pieretiennepinard i like dismantling the entire building for wood anyway
@@pieretiennepinard If you destroy the hive, it won't always drop a queen bee, if you destroy the foundation it's resting on, you guarantee a queen bee.
@@IAmHoTSHoTzz Queen Bee always drop no matter how you destroy hive, but what ppl dont know is sometimes queen will end up on a roof so make sure to check it if you only see honey inside
@@flafik This is correct. They drop 100% of the time regardless of destruction method, but sometimes land on the structure, so always look around if you don't find it immediately.
Anyone else been throwing their broken items out?? Had no idea you could repair them! My camp looks like an axe graveyard lol
Just figured this out today lol
This was me for the first few in-game days
Here is a tip that wasn't covered in the video. When in a storage container, if you HOLD Control and left click an item it will go from your bag to the container or the other way. Also when fighting Trolls in Troll Caves you don't have to press (E) to enter the cave just walk into the entrance and you can also draw you bow outside walk inside and it will still be drawn. :)
Do you know how to do it with a controller hooked up on PC? This is really useful either way, thanks my dude.
Shift will divide the stacks
Omg thanks for the inventory control tip! It's so annoying having to drag and drop everytime..
@@GreenSlug420 hold the crouch button on your console controller.
@@markjardinez5602 Thanks a lot man! Cheers!
Another tip involving Trolls, they are very predictable, use them (especially ones with trees in hand) to fell trees, they can take out 3+ in one sweep if you aim them right. Use a bow, get them to low HP just incase something goes wrong and you get stuck.
Awesome tip, thank you 🙂 I'll include this in a future video!
you can also parry the trolls and kill them with your melee however i only reccomend this if youve ever played dark souls
the bee hives you break are guaranteed to drop a queen, but sometimes they shoot out the top ot the hive, and not necesarily drop below it, make sure you check the roof !
The soundtrack to the game is wonderful. I could let that play all day long.
Making wood and rock piles takes up way more space than just 50-stacking them in chests though
But it looks better. I mostly use them as deco. With the benefits of being a emergency stone/wood resource.
Id rather have the wood outside than taking up chest space. I built a big lean too in a forest near my house with its own workbench and it has 9 stacks of wood and a ton of logs just piled up next to it waiting to be chopped. Its a comunity wood area. Its easier to see if we are low on wood that way
Also pre bronze axe you can roll logs into birch trees to chop them down and you can roll birch logs into oak trees to chop them down. Then smack em together a bunch of times and voila, fine wood. Im pretty sure this applies to all axeable trees.plus oak logs are fun to play with. Sometimes you can randomly get a massive speed boost and get launched like 100yards away in a split second.
I know but it's the thing is that I feel it cool bc it's very immersive hahaha
14 minutes of tips, no ads no filler, my man
Haha thanks man 🙂
Damn dude, these are some fantastic tips.
I do notice the rock formations but never thought you can dig them for treasure. I just thought they were some neat decoration.
The tips about the chimney build and the info on the long ship burials was very useful. Thanks!

@@aliebrubaker7473 yeah it's so good! 🙂
i have a good feeling this game will become as good and as popular as minecraft
I really hope you're right!
This game blows Minecraft out of the fucking water lmao. Not even close.
@@outrun7455 no mines and caves tho. Only surface gameplay, but still, way good

@@steinblitz1506
There are caves tho, atleast if you consider the dungeons underground caves. It just makes me excited for the future of this game, so much content!
a tip for a tip. a stag breaker is not required to breakdown other structures you find. Just whip your building hammer out place a work bench and then middle mouse button everything to delete stuff. Once you're done middle mouse button the work bench and you're back on the road. (this is also the best way to get beehives as it destroys them when the wall they are attached to is destroyed and this ALWAYS seems to drop a queenbee)
Less of a tip guide and more of a necessary tutorial. Much needed. Thanks
In dungeons you can use the stagbreaker to hit enemies through doors
Your name made my middle-click scroll stop working
Excellent tips man. Very direct, no mumbo jumbo.
queen bee drops every time, but it usually gets stuck on the roof instead of falling down.
Also if you deconstruct the abandoned house (the parts where the beehive is attached) the queen will be easy to find and pick up.
Best HowTo ever on YT. NO time wasting with much bla, just facts - GREAT!
Thank you 🙂
Very straightforward and no time wasting bs loved the vid !!! Great job
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Valheim is just one of those games that I think I will come back to a lot, there's so much replay value in the content provided can't wait for the hearth and home update
Thank you for talking fast it's so much better for my adhd than the slow boring videos others make
Thanks, I try! haha :)
I was going to say I had trouble understanding some of what you said because you talk kinda fast. All in all a good video. You showed me a couple things I hadn't discovered yet.
@@e.b.1728 You can change the speed of a video too, sometimes it sounds a little weird but it's good for stuff like that. I usually change mine to be a little faster but they can go slower too! Hope it helps
1-You can zoom in and out of the minimap by clicking on < and > on the keyboard
2-you can stack 2~3 wood stakes near each other of you place them in front of a wall (hope this makes sense)
If you have a little wood on you, you can quickly build a workbench near the abandoned structures, and then use middle mouse (scroll wheel) to disassemble them. It's a lot faster than actually smashing the structures, and doesn't put any wear & tear on your weapon. I think (though I'm not positive of this) you get more resources from disassembly then you do from destruction (destruction may be lossy.)
Thanks for a "straight to the point" vid. So tiring watching people run around choppping wood for half an hour, just to be able to hear a useful tip. Excellent job.
Thanks very much, glad I could help :)
Best tip: buried treasure.
On what kind of land?
@@sabotaj117 meadows only, However one of the bosses drops an item to help find it but is best used on later game materials since one of them can only be found with it, unless you just dig up the biome since there is no indicator above ground for it like there is for buried treasure.
@@sabotaj117 in the meadows, you can find oval rock formations, if you dig with the pickaxe on the inside of the formation, you can find hidden chests and bones
straight to the point. Theres another youtuber that spends 15 mins to explain something that could be done in a single sentence.
If you walk along a shore, You can chase deer into water for an easy kill
But the deer swims faster than me :o
I never get any loot if I kill something in the water. Taught it would be part of the game, but seems like it’s a bug?
Depending on how deep the water is if you kill stuff in deep water you gain none of the items
u can just make some floors all the way out to where the deer died and then jump in, you'll sink enough so u can spam e to pick everything up before u get up to the surface
Just don't kill it in a deep part, you wont get the loots as they sink to the bottom of the water.
Falling/rolling trees also do damage to other trees of the same hardness. Use this to your advantage by cutting trees that are in groups. Very often decreases the chopping needed by half or better early on.
Also, you may place up to 5 or six cooking racks on a single fireplace. You do have to interact with each rack individually which can get a little tricky with 6, but I find 4 very easy.
Falling/rolling trees does damage to all trees so you can get fine wood earlier. You can also get a troll to attack the tree
Excelent tips my friend. Been playing this game for the last 8 hours and i didn't want to "ruin" the newcomer experience by looking for help before trying to play by myself...
...now, it's time to ask for tips on UA-cam :)
Thank you! Glad I could help! :)
Nice beard bro
@@WTFAnyNameWorks thanks 😊
Right there with you!
Great video, I've been playing a good bit and haven't wanted to watch any content on the game so that I could discover the game myself. After some time I felt more comfortable with watching some starting tips vids like this, and I never knew about the shield style options you could do which is cool, I also didn't realize adorning your homestead with furniture would increase your rested buff (makes sense I just didn't put it together). One thing I'd like to add to the beehive bit is that you can build a workbench outside the beehive equip your hammer and middle mouse button the buildings foundation that has the bees, and step away to watch it slowly crumble. Then delete the workbench and you have wood from the structure, safely extracted the beehive and got more wood to boot without wasting any arrows. Which are cheap to make but still
Glad I could help and thanks for the tips :)
I just got this game yesterday, and somehow I already have 30 hours played. Yeah, it’s that addicting lol
So you’ve been playing for almost more than 24 hours straight
This reminds me of Minecraft when the game was new to everyone. We didn’t have any idea to craft anything, but hours of experience and time made us experts in surviving with friends. I dont play minecraft as much as I used to, but valhiem will be my replacement.
woah 10 seconds in and we already got our first tip. thank you for not spending the first 5 minutes plugging.
haha you're welcome :)
Congrats on 1m views mate! A well deserved achievement. Legend.
Thanks mate, appreciate all your support 🙂
🙏
Thanks for the info. I learned quite a few things. But one thing you mentioned I wanted to say I have found a much easier way. Instead of using the hammer to disassemble wood huts, instead place a workbench nearby and then you can spam middle mouse click. SUPER fast way to gather wood.
I've thrown away SSOOOOO many hammers and axes cause I thought they were useless when they hit 0.. rip. Thank you for the tips though 👍
Any time! :)
No....
Done that on my first gameplay as well.😂
Hahahahahaha same!
@Sudokaiii Nope lol, I actually read what Hugin had to say on my first play.
Build a crafting bench by a ruin with a beehive and dismantle the house, guarantee queen bee
You can set multiple cooking station next to each other over the same fire (I think 6 is about the limit). This helps a lot but you should have a fire that you can walk around to get to access all the spaces on it. Also you can eat directly from a chest.
Just started playing this game yesterday and was lost for hours playing it. Think i'm on just day 14 and surviving, house, workbench, endless raspberries. Really took a while before i figured out how to repair tools after making half a dozen hammers and axes. Just kinda really started to venture out much further exploring.
There is soo much helpful tips in this video it's bonkers and then there are soo many things that I also didn't know until i watched this video. Damn fun game.
Glad I could help and glad you're enjoying the game. I'm loving it at the moment! :D
I have been pleasantly binging this game, and find that it is a far the most enjoyable survival game I’ve ever played. As for helpful tips I had no idea about the digging between those rock outcroppings. I’ve seen many of them and now regret not at least placing a marker for them. However one of my settlements in the Black Forest shoreline where I have all my copper and tin deposits There is a broken boat in one of the streams. Now that you mention the rock outcroppings I think when I get home I will go and dig around that to see if there is also treasure. Thank you A ton!
u still play and enjoy the game? just bought it
@@shahrikamin4699 yes it is one of my regular returning binges. I try to rotate my games but i keep coming back. I’d say the key is to play a good amount through on your own, don’t let friends spoil your progression by bringing in items from their games. If you have friends that play have them start at whatever level of progress you have made on your own so that they don’t rob you of the fun. I could definitely see how the game could plateau if they were to immediately advance you to the bronze age.
I just started playing this game and I'm absolutely in love with the game. It's crazy this game is in its beta phase an it's so good. Thank you for the tips and tricks!
no BS straight to the point ..... refreshing & subbed.
Thanks I'm glad you liked the video and ty for subbing :)
Ahh this game is truly a time sucker...yet the time spent was time that will be cherished forever.
Best tips and tricks video Ive ever seen. Nice and straight to the point, good pacing too.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
This is literally the best tips and tricks guide I've ever seen. No bullshit just a ton of tips.
One useful tip is that you can hold a torch and greylings/dwarfs wont attack you, just throw stones at you from a distance.
I had no idea about this. I wish I read this before I went out to get tons of copper fighting off 8 billion greydwarfs while mining
yep, even animals like boars will not attack. Even the tamed boars will get frightened if you hold torch near them (or have furnace in vicinity).
i like how fast you talk and start into actual tips
Thanks :)
Early game tip, the flint axe is equal to a level 2 stone axe. find a lake for flint and you have a better axe early game.
Also the knife is effective against boars, high attack rate and deals much more damage than any other early game tools.
Btw you can just set down a workbench next to a beehive and just start tearing down the place then the beehive will fall down with a queen at all time (from my experience)
Thanks, great tip! I'll include it in a future video :)
Another fun tip: The trees that are 'to hard' for you to cut down at the start, Birch and the like? Chop down trees you can near them, and then run against their logs to push them into the hard trees (or if lucky they will knock the hard trees over), best done on a slight hill else you need to push the logs away then back, but in time the hard trees WILL get cut down. Repeat this for the fallen hard logs as well. Granted the logs you can cut may break first, but just grab some more normal logs or have trees you can cut fall onto them. Or push the hard log against some rocks, and bam. I got early fine wood before beating the first boss.
So I can make tables, chairs, the finewood bow, banners etc. It's a little bit of work but don't take that much time.
takes too much time. Just get a bronze axe like the game intends
@@camdavis9362 Once you figure it out it really didn't take much time at all.
Heck if your lucky a single tree can clear a good chunk of forest.

Like what happened here. I just cut a single tree and it dominoed. Knocked down three birch and a large oak, all such things that are 'too hard' to cut atm. It wasn't much work to run against these logs and break them all up. Heck one of the birch halfs was already busted up.
So much good info... it's like a wave of knowledge. I like your style!
i didnt knew the way to trow the spear, thanks!! 10/10
Glad I could help! :)
51) use . and , to scroll in and out on the minimap. I find this very useful when I'm sailing or running to my marker from far away.
52) you can make a stack of 50 stones the same way you can make a stack of wooden logs.
53) a torch will keep some early monsters away even while just holding it in your off-hand. Greylings and lower level greydwarfs can easily be killed if you wield the torch in your main hand and use it as a club. They will start to burn and take fire dmg over time
54) you can have more than one cooking station over a single camp fire. (personal best is 5) Just stand on the sides where you can interact with all of them easily.
55) if you time your shield correct to the incoming attack you will stagger the enemy. (learn this early. It will be extremely useful)
56) I have experienced many times that you can find more copper underground where the other copper ore was. Take a few extra swings on the ground around the edge of the copper ore to not lose out on these last few pieces.
57) an easy way to get beehives without a bow is to build a crafting station nearby and just destroy the hive with your hammer (you can also start demolishing the house, but this takes a lot more time and you may take some unwanted dmg as well)
58) remember to upgrade gear and stations. This is an important investment!
59) if you struggle to find copper or tin, just remember that they only spawn in the black forest. (copper everywhere on land, and tin only by the waterline)
60) some monsters can follow you for a long time before they stop, and they will attack your base if you bring them back. Be aware!
61) Remember to fill up your furnace and charcoal kiln before going to bed because the time skip will work on these stations.

The one thing I learned from watching this video was that I can change how my shield looks
A few tips for your next video :) , if you build a workstation near the beehive house and dismantle the house around the hive, you will get a Queen Bee 100% of the time. Also, you can build a firepit on a few logs of corewood, incase you build a treehouse or a house raised above ground. It dosent need ground:) hope you can use these tips,
Thanks for the tips! :)
Just wanna say that Shift+LeftClick to select a certain amount in your inventory is a game changer because that literally isn't referenced anywhere haha so thank you for that!
You're welcome :)
Thank you!
No rambling, very refreshing.
Glad you liked it! :)
Deconstructing the house that a bee hive is attached to guarantees a queen bee drop. Just place down a work bench and middle mouse click the building until it's all gone and the hive collapses.
Thanks, great tip! I'll include it in a future video :)
If you're not interested in the scrapped materials or simply enjoy keeping these delapidated structures around for visual flair, simply use a bow & arrow to destroy the hive. One shot with a cheap wooden arrow will do it. Queen bee drops everytime, plus some honey usually. Just keep a safe distance initially.
Congrats on your growth. Thumbs up 👍
Thank you :)
AHHH my friends and I and family are enjoying this game, keep the river flowing! subbed as well as friends etc. Many thanks xoox
What a game!
Glad you're enjoying it! 🙂 Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing! I'll be doing plenty more valheim content for sure! 🙂
@@Kysen That's fantastic! First day playing today, I managed to get 6 or 7 friends of sound mind to play, sadly, some of us are far more advanced but trying to figure out this beautiful game while helping. My gosh, I dont even know what to say, this is a unique game that borrows alot of funky features from other titles. What a blast.
First of your videos I have seen ,.. well made good fast pace but not too fast or incomplete in the info ,..well done, earned my sub.
Extra tip for wheel cart: great for transporting mass quantities, terrible on rough terrain. Be wary of rocks or sticks in the road because they will either stop you or flip your cart.
What I did, which took me a couple of hours, was map out several copper deposits and tin deposits on my island and to use my hoe to quite literally pave a road through these sites.
It's time consuming but it's nice to be able to wheelbarrow down a road without having to worry about it flipping or you getting stuck.
I know I’m alittle late to this video that was really useful. Besides that I looked through the comments and didn’t see this tip. Some time in the beginning stage of the game you can use trolls to break down trees that give you fine wood and core wood you wouldn’t be able to cut down at that level of the game until you have a bronze axe. Very useful and helped me advance early in the game. Just make sure you run it into the woods! Anyways awesome tips helped me a lot! Deserved a sub!
Dagger's like the spear also has a special attack when clicking the mouse well you will perform a leap attack.
there are other weapons like swords and some end game weapons
Carts can get hung up on bushes trees etc. They can take damage from collisions with objects. I cleared a path from my smelting site in the black forest to the water where I transfer items to my boat to bring back to main base.
Raids seem to be on the base where you have your spawn point. I do not have a spawn point at my smelting base and have never been raided. Mobs are attracted by noise so you may get attacked while smelting and making coal. Clear out any mob generating nests nearby to reduce this from happening.
there are what look like little stone huts that have collapsed in the meadows with what looks like a stone block(rectangular cube, dark in color) next to them. search around them as they some times have valuables such as rubies, gold, etc. might be easier to spot the loot if you use a hoe to make paths around it to delete the grass.
Awesome tips! Thanks very much :)
Or play with low vegetation option in settings lol
