SikWithit The sheer AMOUNT of Acting Greats that have come and gone is just amazing....and it's GREAT to see where some of the truly GREATEST Actors ever now reside...I was born in 65, and I believe he died in 38 or 39...but I STILL know Douglas Fairbanks Sr. was probably one of, if not THE...best actors of all time!! It's strange to hear them talking about how dramatically the acting landscape changed with "Talkies".... And Doug Sr. said he felt it took away from acting somehow...instead of adding to the roles...that Swashbuckler he!! I know he's like the Founder of The USC Cinematic School, and the very first host of the Academy Awards. Now THAT'S...amazing to me...good job Mr. Dark...
I love the unknown history you add. You don't just do those that are well known. You also include those that had a role in making Hollywood what it is today. I wish I could have seen it when it was just beginning. I think stars were more glamorous. There was a whole "persona" they cultivated.
Don Lafontaine was a good man. I didn't know him personally but a couple of years before his death i found his email and contacted him to voice some text for my daughter's video. He did it without question and when I offered to pay him he just said to make a donation to a charity instead. Never will forget that.
I cannot express enough the love and care you put into your videos. The history, the commentary, the production, everything about your videos screams love and empathy. Thank you.
I recognized the hall from the Rocky movie right before you said it. I'm 54 and I've been around for a lot of these people's deaths. The memories of where I was when I found out about their deaths comes back to me as soon as I see their names. Crazy how fast time goes.
Every once in a great while, much too infrequently, someone comes along who possesses the rare combination of originality, amiable personality, and exceptional talent. That someone is Arthur Dark. Mr. Dark's productions continue to be creatively fresh, informative, intelligently entertaining and bring the nourishment I need to feed my mind and soul. Thank you so much.
I look forward to every single episode of Hollywood Graveyard that is shown on here. I enjoy how thorough you are about every Star and Entertainer that is interred there. You really do awesomely when it comes to the back stories and history. This is why Hollywood Forever Cemetery is on the top of my go-to list. Your work is phenomenal!!
Thank you so much for all of your hard work! It really is amazing! I love this series!!! You are a gem! I really loved seeing Mickey Rooney's grave he was a treasure. And Rudolph Valentino, not to mention Eleanor Powell and Fred Astaire What can say?!! Well All of the people you cover are amazing! Oh yeah we called Mickey Rooney "Mighty Mick". I hope can continue your series for a long long time! I really look forward to seeing them!! I could go on and on!!!
Mel Blanc. Someone in a documentary about him said it best that he should not just be considered the greatest voice actor of all time, but one of the best actors in general. The range he had is envious to say the least.
I was a shy young girl whom was getting constantly bullied at the time The Golden Girls was on I gotta give my sincere thanks to them for allowing me to stand up for myself by giving my bullies a comeback by giving them a smart ass remark in return. In a way each of the girls especially Sophia was like a type of a role model for me.
Another great video and the piano at the end was marvelous. I grew up with Mel Blanc's voice but never realized just how many voices he did. What a super talent he was. And I'm reading "A Cast of Killers" about the unsolved murder of William Desmond Taylor. It is quite intriguing. Thanks, Arthur!
I love Estelle Getty, my husband named our daughter after the character Sophia that she portrayed because he knew our daughter would be sassy like her. She is. Love the song at the end, such a haunting song for an undead audience.
I ,so much, enjoy your videos!! I’ve been a fan of old Hollywood, since a very young age! Thank you so very much, for posting these uTube videos!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I was so happy when I saw Mickey Rooney's grave, I watched his movies when I was younger. Love the sound of that piano, you should use it in a Halloween grave tour video.
It's really a shame that Mickey Rooney was never given a TV special & honored for his incredible work. Sad. :( Mickey Rooney was loved by so many....I watched all of his Andy Hardy shows when I was young, & the incredible work he did with Judy Garland will always be a permanent part of my childhood memories.
Thank you for this video, next time I visit my sister (in Las Vegas), I will go to Hollywood Forever and find the people you showed us! I love when you give the history of the artists.
Thank you Veronica Rodriguez. I was going to say the same thing. I never heard of Barbara LaMarr until I checked a book out of the library nearly 40 years ago - the title of which I can't remember. It dealt with Silent Screen Goddesses. And for YEARS I thought I was the only one who even knew who she was. I'm very moved by the fact that she has not been forgotten - of course the death of Rudolph Valentino the very same year obviously overshadowed her transition. And not only that, she was one of the very first (probably not THE first) Hollywood casualty - you know, someone who found fame, but lived too fast, and therefore burned out too early. Sad. In fact, I really don't know if any of her movies still exist. So yes, please include Barbara La Marr in a future video.
I am so happy you covered Estelle. Was hoping the Golden Girls that have past would be in your videos. I'll keep watching for the others. Your videos are amazing btw.
I am also addicted to this wonderful program! Arthur you are totally awesome!! Thank you for your outstanding work! All the hard work WOW! Eleanor powell and Fred Astaire what can i say?
Please consider putting all your "short films" of "Famous Grave Tour" into a documentary that could be shown on the "Big Screen" at the movies. You would have a great film...Just think of the possibilities! Your research is impeccable, your voice is golden, you add so much to each & every short film you create, & your filming is just perfect!! Please think about this, okay?? Your fans will back you up!! "Never Say Never!!"...Love to you for presenting all of your hard work to us out here in the world.
Brother you are the Man! Love your format, background music, and the way you bring these crypts to life. Keep up the good, or may I say, outstanding work. You rock.
Once again, GREAT video!!!!! I've seen many cemetery videos, and again I will say, you are THE BEST at this. You know how much I was looking forward to you covering my muse Rudolph Valentino and you did it so beautifully, thank you! As always, keep up the good work!
The piano gave the perfect effect at the end! Once again another brilliant video, just love these so much .. thank you for sharing these amazing stories :)
Rudolph Valentino is my favorite . I enjoyed this tour greatly. In fact I watch your tours every night before bed . Your work is beautiful. I love your voice handsome 😉 if you ever take a tour to Falcons Lair Valentino’s home I would love it . Keep up your amazing tours .
We will be here this weekend😊. I cannot wait to see and tour. Since, I saw your videos, we booked our tickets right away before it runs out/sold. Thank you😊.
Sensational!! I'd have to watch again to leave more personal comments... But, have you ever thought of linking all of your "Famous Grave Tour" short films together & make a real "big screen" movie?? I really think it would be an incredible documentary that people would go & see at the movies...You do brilliant work, incredible research, & have a voice that could work NOW in Hollywood. Please think about this idea of linking your work together & producing/directing a major film...I KNOW it would be a hit!! Lots of love to you for creating these "Famous Grave Tours"....
I love the work you do!! you are so very respectful as well as very informative!! If there is a marked resting place for Robin Williams I hope you can find it and take us there!
You probably already learned this information by now but for others, Robin Williams ashes were scattered in the San Francisco Bay. He loved the San Francisco Bay Area and considered it his true home.....
I actually left those flowers that he just showed in that video so is amazing that when I finally watched this video after being a fan since the beginning I cracked up to know that the flowers in the Crypt and the Valentino we're the ones that I had left a week prior before he filmed this to awesome
It is sad that Valentino died so young...what more could have been from him? We will never, ever know. A true legend in Hollywood. Does anyone know if American Horror Story actually filmed at Valentino's mausoleum with Lady Gaga, "The Countess", playing his lover?? Or was it filmed at a fake mausoleum site?? Just curious...somebody out there knows the right answer.
I have terrible motion sickness, but this series is so good, I have to keep watching!! I close my eyes while you move a lot and try to guess when you have stopped at the marker!! xx
Is it crazy that I just binge watched all your past vlogs? They're so facinating! I learned things about some celebrities I thought I never heard of until you mentioned the music or roles they played that I was familiar with. Ah ha moments for sure! I'd like to know you choose which crypts or graves of the celebrities you want to talk about. I'm sure it takes alot of research to make sure what you tell about them is accurate. Especially the ones that go way back! I appreciate your work and look forward to seeing more. You shouldn't run out of content! We've lost some good ones here lately!
A great one and not a single one that I know of that you missed. Thank you for mentioning the Wilcoxes and there is a street named after them that does run in Los Angeles. The line from Harvey Korman as Headly Lamar in Blazing Saddles about Douglas Fairbanks is true. "How did he perform all of those magnificent stunts with such tiny hands and feet?" Truly amazing and I never tire of watching The Mark of Zoro or The Thief of Baghdad. I do believe that the team name at Hollywood High School is "The Sheiks" because fo the role Rudi Valentino played in the movie with Agnes Ayers who is also interred at Hollywood Forever in the Columbarium.

Love these tours. I just visited Hollywood Forever yesterday. I was able to find some of the easier graves around the pond but it's a big place. I wish you had filmed your directions a little slower as I plan to make another trip soon.

me too. I watch every episode...
Me, I can't get enough. :)
And me. Guilty pleasure! I think Arthur Dark is rather nice also!
Mel Blanc was a huge part of my childhood. I grew up with Looney Toons on Saturday mornings in the 80's.
Mel Blanc was a huge part of my childhood. I used to stay up very late on Saturday nights to watch his cartoons... with French subtitles in the 70s!
TheMeJustMe75 Flintstones for me. He was Barney Rubble.

The fact that your last name is "Dark" makes this all just so much cooler in my opinion.
I love how in-depth you are about each grave you cover. Keep kicking butt, dude! Awesome work!
I absolutely adore Estelle Getty, such an amazing soul. Miss her dearly rest in perfection our Sophia 💔🕊

William C Dean-Tanner aka William Desmond Taylor. Glad that you stopped at his entombment. And that piano is awesome!
Why do I love this show and channel so much? It’s pure genius. Thanks for all your efforts!
Love Estelle Getty. Of the golden girls
She was a great actress
Enjoyed the show
Rest in peace Sophia

The piano piece you played at the end was beautiful, somber and gave me a feeling of dread. I loved it. Cheers!
I love that you include all the behind the scenes people because without them there'd be no Hollywood!
I liked Sofia's outlook on everything, I've watched The Golden Girls every now and again, she wasn't afraid of anything, great video man.
Betty White said in an interview that Estelle hated telling death jokes and she had been afraid of dying.
I was a shy young girl whom was getting constantly bullied at the time The Golden Girls was on I gotta give my sincere thanks to them for allowing me to stand up for myself by giving my bullies a comeback by giving them a smart ass remark in return. I have to say your narration voice is fantastic.
I could listen to your voice for hours.

Thank you for another great tour! I love Rudolph Valentino and I can't wait to see his final resting place someday. :)
These videos are so professionally done. Very enjoyable, and thank you for posting them.
Douglas Fairbanks was the original parkour master.
Excellent video, as always.
