Til 2:43 i got my “reset pw” box gray and not able to click for reset pw, I understand create new user for admin is way to go but i need to gain all saved pw and information on the chrome.

When I try to do the same on Lenovo Ideapad 100s 11lBY, once I click command prompt it restarts laptop then kind of opens and closes command prompt and then asks me to type in the password, presumably in order to access cmd ?
Booting from USB is not an option from what I've seen around there are problems regarding 64bit versions of EFI/BOOT in the USB's root file... From what other people have said, some havve been able to run it 32bit and I've no idea where to find it...
Is there anything else I might attempt (btw i have no access whatsoever in the boot manager in bios, nothing to navigate through and when i click enter on Boot Manager it just restarts the laptop xD

Haven't tried it yet. I have two computers, both with issues that need resetting in Windows commands. I can only have one out at a time. I located a person in town who does this kind of work, so now it is a matter of sitting down with the laptop and trying. I will let you know when I have tried it. It probably won't be until Wednesday or Thursday of this week.
Can you do this same thing if it only asks for a PIN instead of a password? I’m well aware of my password but it insists I login with my pin and there’s no “sign in options” or “forgot my password” 😕

@@HemantPandeyETHE sadly i had to reset my computer but I talked to microsoft and they said the best thing to do is to go get it backed up somewhere and then reset it, so you can put the backed up drive back into it

Help me out, I can't reach that troubleshoot menu when I press shift + restart. I think that because I had double windows or account in one device, so that when I press shift + restart there's no such thing as troubleshoot like that. Do you have a solution?

When using the bootable usb drive and start the cmd from the usb shift+f10, after following the steps described can you directly go to control username passwords without renaming cmd/utilman? Can I create new admin account that way?

when I write ren utilman.exe utilman1.exe in my cmd it says my system can't find any file like that what do I do and yes path and windows system32 is set

I have followed all your steps, I seem to be having an issue when i replacecopy the utilman.exe with cmd.exe .
When I restart windows 10 and goto ease of access The command prompt opens up at the login screen and then after a short while closes

So i tried making a new user to log int though but it says i need to use the User Accounts tool in the control panel
After shift + restart I picked on command and it showed the account I clicked and it wanted password for the cmd access

IMPORTANT!!!
If it asks for a password when you click on the command prompt option in the Advanced startup menu, watch this video till the end. I've covered that problem at 5:13.
If the command prompt doesn't start when you click on the Ease of Access button at the login screen, then you have to wait for about a minute and then restart your PC. If it still doesn't start you have repeat that process again. Sometimes it takes up to 10 restarts until the command prompt starts.

There's no OS that doesn't have any flaws. The only way to completely protect your PC is by enabling BitLocker encryption. Go to the Control panel-> Bit Locker Drive Encryption and simply turn it on. The only downside though, if your Windows or computer dies you won't be able to recover your data from the HDD/SSD.

I have tried step by step from this video. but when in the user account step. my reset password button is inactive or can't be clicked. How do I make the reset password button active?
After changing the utilman instead of closing the command prompt window, I instead typed 'wpeutil reboot' which restarted my pc. I did this as I was doing the windows 10 USB boot method showed at the end of the video and thus didn't have a continue option shown at 02:14. After windows restarted I had to restart again to get the access button to show the command prompt (this method is mentioned in the video).

When you're in Sytem32 directory, type the DIR command to list all the files and check if those files are present.
When I write c: in the command prompt it says: "The system cannot find the drive specified"

I got to the 'User Accounts' window. But it says "You cannot change the password for ". The button is grayed out. I entered a PIN previously too many times, and requested a reset password on my microsoft account. Maybe that is why. But now stuck.
Just create a new User account and transfer your data.

What if we remove the administrator, I did that and when I tried log in.. it would show my account name but no password is working... It would not open and neither utilman icon work on clicking.
