They’re either in rehab or extra personnel waiting in an assignment. Houston has the ability to have a lot of personnel on fire scenes. Advantages of big city fire departments.
Good to see my local brothers putting the knock on this structure! I know exactly the area that house is located...older homes but they very nice and large too! Be safe HFD brothers!
At this point there is nothing that the FF can safely do to put out the fire. As long as the family is out, all they can do is wait and make sure that it does not spread.
@@jackio46 This isn’t true. How do you think the fire went out while the building is still standing? The rescue crews stay outside in case of a downed firefighter. The rest of the crews are inside fighting fire.
Not to Monday-morning-quarterback this, but: is there a reason the firefighters aren’t … fighting the fire? I mean there probably is, just not obvious to a non-firefighter.
@Daniel, as a Former firefighter, the reason for these guys to just appear to be standing there doing nothing is because there is no way that anyone can safely enter the home to begin any kind of interior attack to actually successfully extinguish this fire when it is going at this magnitude. The heat alone prevents them from even trying to really get close enough to really do any kind of outside defensive attack as well, so at that point, all they can really do is try to protect the exposures around the involved building, and keep it from spreading any further. Also, once the entire interior of a structure has been so deeply destroyed by fire, it's best to keep everyone safe, protect the exposures, and let the involved building go so as to assist the homeowner to get the maximum amount of compensation from their fire insurance, provided that the Investigation Teams do not find evidence of arson.
@@kevinswinyer3176 well said ! There are crews inside working. The ones outside are use to replace them when they need to come out. Hard to believe but you can’t stay interior forever.
As a firefighter, I have no clue why they are just standing there. I guess they are not real firefighters.
Yea that's what I was saying. It must be a government creation. Some weird stuff is going on. Two factory exploded on the news.

need to see if water allocation is approved

You realize there are crews inside with water right?
Looks like the Uvalde response. Is this Texas?
This comet is very rude and disrespectful for the children that were killed and their families
been so dry the thatched roof dried out
Massive?
My guesses are stations 78 and 69 but definitely not a good alarm to wake up to in the morning with the detectors going off
"Get ready!" "Get set!" But nobody said "Go".
So when are we supposed to put water on it? WTF is this a training fire or actually someone's home. This does make HFD look incompetent.

Command from fire sector. Confirming it is a fire. Should burn itself out in about an hour. WHAT the hell???
Yeah WTF are the FF doing? Praying it will stop?
There are crews inside working they will be replaced with these guys. You can’t work for hours at a fire without get a few minutes rest.
I know this house is a total loss, but if I were the homeowner on scene I would be going off shouting f- bombs to these so called FF’s.
I would be shouting more then f-bombs at them

The air tanks are arranged nicely and they’re conserving water. Nice job🤦
Do they not have water there?
They are inside with hoselines. You can see it on the video.
Could have saved part of it - looks like only on .one end-
Lot of fires in Houston lately how come
Extreme heat
Love the firemen doing NOTHING!
You mean the guys that are the RIT team or possibly in rehab? Learn the job before commenting.
Cause it wasn’t LEED certified!
Was this connected to the skeleton in the BBQ pit ?
TUHAN..
Nothing like standing around a house fire watching it grow and burn to the ground.
They are just standing around watching the show like everyone else. They have front seats to the action.
Those guys are more than likely in rehab. If you notice 7 minutes in the get dressed again to get new assignments to relieve the crews inside.
It's the same like in every video. The fire is burning and the fire men are standing around watching it.
That’s because what you can’t see is there are crews inside working. The guys outside are used to take their place.
WOW!!! Somebody forget to fill the tanks with water?
