It's so nice to see a father and son out and about.
Who's who?
Connor calls Chris, "Daddy."
I'm fuckin dead 🤣
Quality content right there
But in this chris is the son
"The most British food on the planet: Indian Curry". Yeah, that seems about right😂😂
Bruh 😂@@tylerhiller3238
@tylerhiller3238 chicken tikka existed way before in the Indian subcontinent before that Pakistani chef introduced it there. Please never call it British, your food tastes like wet cardboard with a side of disappointment, funny how you conquered most of the world and it's spices but refused to add it to your food 🤦♂️
Bruhh
Okayy it was made in British but it was made by an Indian man
That’s like me saying pizza was made in my country so it is an Indian dish no it’s an Italian dish
chicken tikka masala is made in a tandoor which was a way of cooking originated in India uses spices hence the word masala
So to say it’s British dish not Indian is a bit entitled but it’s fine you do you 😊
Britain has stolen many things from India but what’s one more yeahhh…..
@@mayankjain7141 It was made in Britain by a British citizen. It's a British dish.
of course the place named "hobgoblin" has to have the best food
Its named after a popular brand of ale overhere
did you ever have the fun of explaining to a Japanese person what BS news means in English? :-)
@@ImJustYourAverageGuy Its owned by the same brewery
@@MrXNITROx no wonder it was good then
ホッブゴブリン!
"Chris a picky man"
Chris during the whole video: 😀😀😀
I love his cheery mood. Especially when he was walking next to him
Hes so happy 😇
Connor just brings out all his smiles. It’s true love
Hobgoblin is such a great name for a British pub in Japan lol
Its also the name of a brewery in the uk
@@PennyEvolus its also owned by said brewery
@@MrXNITROx i thought so i just didnt want to say in case i was wrong
@@PennyEvolus I used to go to school in the same town as the brewery, well before they closed it down
@@MrXNITROx thats cool
Chris's goofy walk and demeanor is so condescending, wouldn't have it any other way lol
That walk made my day 😂
That was adorable, we need more of that energy in the world
Are you sure that's what condescending means 😂
@@dimitrijekrstic7567 I don't think you know what it means if you're questioning how I'm using it, which is very clearly applicable to this situation because he's taking the piss out of Connor's video. It would normally be seen as snarky & patronizing if you didn't know that they were on good terms.
gojo/geto vibes
Japan: "How do we make our British food as authentic as possible?"
Somebody: "Make it bad."
Went to England, can confirm this is accurate. Especially with drinks 😭
Is British food really that bad?
If made correctly; yes.
@@KingOfGaymesyou went to England and got ripped off cause you're a foreigner. Name a better breakfast than ours? Nobody makes better dinners than us roast dinner is the best meal on earth.
Reminds me of a Reddit meme that went viral. One guy asked "Is British food really that bad?". One user replied, "If made correctly, yes."
@@JackButland-tt9zk lol english breakfast is barely a dish someone cooks, its literally just a bunch of premade stuff put together and thats it.
Good loop lol.
Also love how the most “British food” is Indian curry 😂😂
They had to colonise the entire world for something...
Like how kare risu (curry rice) is the quintessential Japanese comfort food.
@@Bergkatse2 it is related to indian curry but its so different that i dont consider them to be the same. The japanese curry is pretty sweet tbh while indian curry tries to rip all your taste buds off. I prefer the 2nd one but thats just me
@@Bergkatse2curry in japan is from India too but Japan already modified the taste that right for Japanese curry is India original food and receipt
@@felixdom9693 Technically Curry in Japan is from the UK, who themselves got it from India.
The "Wish quality" got me laughing sm! 😭❤️
REV UP THE BUGATTI
wheeeuy
SUSAN MADE DINNER, ISN'T SHE LOVLEEYY
Just a bit of banter
MEET THE WIFE SUSAN
Core memory unlocked.
its kind of interesting how universal the experience of having a foreign country butcher your native cuisine. really brings people together
I still don't get how you could butcher british food... how hard is it to fail at sausage and mash...
Chris' acting is a thing of beauty
Wants British food,
Gets English Food.
Blames the Welsh.
Yep. That’s an English pub alright.
Always the bloody welsh lmao
Everyone knows you can link any bad historical events to the Welsh like me stubbing my toe on purpose once
Why is nobody talking about what a perfect loop this is?? Nice work!!
It is indeed perfect! I love the twist!
Dawg this loop ain't perfect 😭 what r u talking Abt
Yeah it kinda is lol @@skewuulman3174
@@skewuulman3174 Ye, It's literally impossible to make a perfect loop on shorts as it always chops a bit when restarting the vid
because it never gets any less cringe
It's telling that the first place didn't even give him filling in his pasty, but still got double the score of the second place.
What's a Pub without some brexit geezers and some proppa footy
Italian food represents romance,
Finnish food depression and
British food passive aggressiveness
Eating food is one of the few times I DON'T feel depressed. :P
@@gamerbear84now I've never bean to prison but prison food is probably better than that shit the finish call food uts just raw dough I did visate my brother in jail once when he was there and the visiting food was pretty nice it hade lovely hot wings but mh brother said the normal food is cold porage or mabey not cold I can't remember it was like 2018
@@Pat12379 sounds fuckin awful, what are some examples of bad Finnish food?
@@YamiLunaria all of it
@@Pat12379 "uts just raw dough" WTF are you even talking about?
The fact that he didn’t get a pint of actual Hobgoblin in the pub is insane! The pub is owned by the brewery known for their Ruby Ale in the UK. All the places I work in sell it the most during Halloween 😂
I'm glad that Hobgoblin have held up their reputation overseas. One of my favourite ales.
This short was made so that Connor could deduct 3 meals on his taxes
"Chris loves his bangers" you heard it here first, Chris has many bangers
Wow a rare chris is happy moment in those last clips 😂
My wife and I recently spent two weeks in Scotland and had the most AMAZING fish and chips from a food truck in the TINY little one road village near Eilean Donan. I miss that truck...
The way Chris was walking though 😂😂
why is he walking like that 😆
@@thefamiIyguyshow just chris being chris
The most british food "Indian Curry" brings me back to the good ol' days
the format of these is so good, man.
"some proper footy"
I know literally every other place on earth calls soccer football but that still made me do a double take.
nah. footy is the sport of sucking toes
Its britishy accenty buddy everythingy needy to be delicately
Why is the Beer in a Prosecco flute is what I want to know?
Most British food "indian curry"
DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRUE BREXIT GEEZER
I really appreciate how you make the loop happen, great editing!
The answer here is that Hobgoblin is an actual British-owned pub in Japan.
The others were just bad Japanese places trying to imitate and guess what it should be.
"Images that makes the food look a unappetizing as it is"
Proper lads, the both of you. Hats off. Wonderful video, 10/10.
Chris’ Jolly walk and Connor’s serious face walking together reminds me of a certain Anime duo 😂
You never go to Hub for the food; it's always for a cheeky drink when you're too lazy to find somewhere else to go.
Nice to see iron mouse try British cuisine
This is the most British video I've seen today
John blackthorne seems to be enjoying his time in japan
Is there a full length video of this?
No
not one with chris and connor. there IS a video where Chris took Nick Pettas ("Junk Food Japan" on yt, ex professional fighter, owns a gym) to the same places and did their own video.
You can tell this was made specifically as a short.
Any place that isn't Britain just needs to stop doing British food because every place completely fucks it up and then blames us Brits for it. Like going to Taco Bell and it sucking and then saying Mexican food is bad.
The irony is that Chris found some great fish and chips in his own British pub video.
the bangers and mash looked better than i was expecting!
You can't call yourself British if you actually believe British food is bland and tasteless.
Playing up to the crowd who make themselves feel smart by knowing nothing about British food.
Gotta appeal to the American audience, the only way to be a good Brit to them is if you pretend to hate yourself and everything for being British
“Proper British food, Indian curry” that’s wiiiiiiild. Wow.
I mean he ain't wrong lol. As a brit I grew up eating indian curry way more than fish and chips or bangers and mash.
@@crazyfutureradio it’s the fact that it’s a reference to the colonization of India was my point.
@@shindoushuichi0287 No it's not. It's nothing to do with colonisation, it's about how chicken tikka masala was voted the national dish because it was invented by a British-Indian
@shindoushuichi0287
Except it isn't a reference to that. It's a reference to the fact that indian food is very popular and common in Britain, and has been for a long while. Chicken tikka for example was popularized by Indians living in Britain.
@@jankbunky4279 and why would there have been Indians living in England? Colonialism. Plus, you aren’t in Connars brain so you can’t be sure he ISN’T making a colonialism joke.
We need both your (serious) and Chris’ (goofy) walk cycle animated for a “stand by mode” when you stream or wacky weekend intro videos. Lol
Why Chris looks like he's bout to fly home in his suit😂
I regret eating British food in the UK
It ain't that bad
Yeah sure you do buddy
out of All the food in japan Connor could eat he chose British food 😭
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
he's not visiting, he's been there for like over 4 years now
It's interesting how Japanese food never gets any flak for being incredibly bland.
I was straight gonna recommend Hobgoblin when you said you're looking for british establishments in Japan.
I had Hagis there for the first time.
My old company British American Tobacco has its Japan HQ just on the opposite street so hobgoblin was a frequent hangout place for us.
Yoo these shorts are fire, keep it up
And i don't understand why people call Indian curry there are f**king over a milllion curries in India 😢😢
He means tikka marsala
There are also east asian curries that one is excluding by saying "indian", and there is also the curry ketchup from northern Europe, and the German Currywürst. Indian Curry is like saying French bread. It's not very specific, but it does still exclude many things.
Ok Chris, not more cocaine for you this week. lol
The queen hadn't died yet when you went to that restaurant
You should have a macaroni burger from a place called Icon in Japan.
The British stole so much from India they even served Indian food as one of their menu items 😂
Can't steal what you already own.
It wasn't stolen. It was invented by a British citizen.
@@vanbogan3712 only chicken tikka masala ... But Indian curry in general is not indegenous to British...
@@Fhhddthbbchjkkog exactly
Your first mistake was going to eat British food lol
The football match shown was between Japan and North Korea, likely the FIFA World Cup qualifying match in which Japan beat NK 1-0 on March 21.
Love your videos and channel! You're amazing
As an American, these just look like struggle meals. It’s the kinda thing I would make if I had a bunch of random leftovers, I’m not going to bash on it though, struggle meals have a certain quality to them. Also we put all sorts of junk in our foods, so I just eat at home most of the time anyway, I can make some killer chicken fried rice!
British food traditionally was based on a very limited number of herbs and spices, “oh but the British empire” the average Frenchman, yank and Spaniard says. Yes the British royalty enjoyed many spices, fruits and ingredients but it wasn’t until the late 1960s when other herbs and spices were introduced to the general public. The traditional food in the UK is based on herbs such as thyme, tarragon, garlic, rosemary etc. the bases for the food are often root vegetables with meat and some sort of ale. Although the ingredients are simple, the quality and care put into each ingredient is often thorough. Although the food has been impacted heavily by the Industrial Revolution and the lengthy rationing during the world wars, British food still represents an emphasis on letting high quality ingredients speak for themselves, which is unique and not objectively worse or better than any other cuisine. No they are not struggle meals.
@@user-wd4in4fp3j Chill bro, you don't need to defend the entire British cuisine. you seem to act as if I've made some capital offence. I'm just some random guy you don't know. but thanks for the history anyway, I just don't care that much.
Now imagine that the entirety of American cuisine gets judged on struggle meals and all the good stuff gets ignored. Now you have an idea as to why "hurr durr British food bad" is such a stupid meme.
To me "american" "food" looks like a struggle meal
"I Regret Eating British Food"
Fixed the title for you 😂
😂😂😂the pasty was missing it's filling, but it still got a 4, vs 2 from the place where dish was so bad the Queen might resurrect to slap it out of your hand 😂😂😂
I’ve never seen Chris so excited 😂
British "food"
"British" food
"British" "food"
"American" "food"
My god, Hobgoblin was there when I lived there 20 years ago during study abroad! And honestly, the food was really solid; I remember it fondly.
Rare footage of Chris actually enjoying something that doesn’t involve Connor in pain:
Connors humor is just on another level
Is no one else gonna talk about how Connor referred to quality sports TV as "proper good footy?"
The more i see conner the clearer his face gets, he's like basically shining bruh
What a rollercoaster, hahaha! Great video mate.
Lol he's getting better at looping these Tiktok things
Chris looks high as a kite, and then I realized that just his normal self.
Hobgoblins Chef seems to just get it.
I had a Christmas Dinner there and it was absolutely superb. So glad thier still getting it right.
Pub food is actually the best. Honestly for me if it’s not Sunday roast it’s Toad In the Hole
That has to be the most buttery smooth loop I've ever seen. Kudos editor even if that was CDawg himself
No one gonna mention Chris walking like Dr Lindsey at 0:09?
"I regret eating British food..."
>Same homey
That curry was a british curry. A lot of the curries you're likely to order in Britain are british recipes.
Wild that the second place scored double the place that served a literal empty pasty
The Tavern in Yokohama is by far one of the best british pubs i went to.
The brewery for that beer is really close to where i live. Kinda mad to think that beer bottle might've passed close by to my house and ended up in front of these two 😂
Shepards pie in hobgoblin is shockingly good for Japan too
Bruh I loved your performance in Shōgun
Didn't know you also did UA-cam, what a surprise!!!
Nice proportions mate, style is evolving
I think bad British food abroad gives us the bad rep. I’ve travelled to 92 countries and have rarely found any good British food outside of U.K. or Ireland
You coulda just ended the sentence with “I regret eating British food.” That’s a given.
i always find it funny when japan tries to make other country foods but doesn't know what they're doing
"Bland english food" says behind dead j eyes
Ah nice you found the expat restaurant, that’s what you have to look for for authentic food
Chris is walking with joy while our protagonist Connuh had enough bs for the day and wants to evaporate all landmass of the world😂(thx for the gits and shiggles Connor you're awesome)
Love u guys
Love your shorts 😂
"proper good footy" Connor calm down there
great short!
Connor makes really good content man
Great to see Connor with his boyfriend traveling Japan together.
I think there was a Reddit post of “Is British food really that bad?”
The only response: “If made properly: yes.”
When I lived in Takaoka, Toyama, there was a fantastic British pub called The White Hart. Sadly it closed back in 2015 but the food was actually pretty good.
i thought the title was just "i regret eating british food" and was about to agree
Why does chris look so much happier in your videos
