This is my review where we will look at BOTH Mini Arcades in the same video! Always been a big fan of these micro arcades from New Wave Toys and let's see how good these new additions to their lineup really are!

I would really like to build a full size cabinet where you can store them but connected to the controls of the full size cab or remove them if you choose. build a cabinet for each collectible that can be played on a matching full size while displaying the smaller version. I just need to build the empty matching shells but you will have the full size arcade running off them and storing them for display.

I love both of them. They are both great looking cabinets. But the tiny coin mech actually crediting up is beyond incredible. They are consistently making these collectibles better and better. Great review, as always, brother. 👍

Amazing! Imagine if they do make 3/4 scale arcades and put that crt filter on. That would be incredible! BTW this might be the most difficult arcade game made. Lol

These are cool as hell and I got the preorder email, but hesitated. I don't own any New Wave Toys, so I wasn't sure what to expect for the money.

I preordered the ghost and goblins one. However, that ghouls and ghost cab looks really nice. I might have to get that one too.

I prefer the Ghost N Goblins cab, just absolutely love the color of the cab as it just stands out better to me from the somewhat typical generic black dynamo cab, plus the yellow coin door buttons is a good contrast from all the other red button coin doors....and course that artwork is just awesome! Mine should be here this week, awesome review Dubs! 👍

thats why I got that one, as opposed to ghouls n ghosts which was more familiar and common here in US arcades in my youth

Actually this was before Bezerk and frenzy and are the first with operating coin door (besides Coke machine) but NWT has been on fire for a while!

Love ‘em both but my final decision was to purchase the Ghost and goblins. Love the purple cab the the artwork looks a little more old school for me.
They’re both cool, but I think I prefer the Ghouls and Ghosts.

I have everything New Wave has put out (except the Coke machine, not interested) and love their quality. Received both of these today and they look and play great. They FINALLY got the CRT thing figured out! I have to say, that is the only thing they've tried that seemed to flop. My hope is there is an option to replace the mistake with the CRT2...
Release these as Deluxe or XL cabs and you’d have my attention, and money!

got mine last week too, pretty cool! Probably my least-fav game of all the NWT cabs but still had to have it due to the new features w the coins etc.

Are the games the same volume on both units, or is the Ghosts one actually louder?
Can you Loctite the ball cap like on a full-size controller?
I think my biggest issue is the weight. They really need a removable heavy base so it doesn't move so much.
I'd probably Velcro it to a block of wood glued to a brick or old speaker magnet lol.

Ghouls n Ghost is one of my top Arcade games, looking forward to getting my Replicade before Halloween. I love all these new little additions NWT is adding to their cabinets, the Insert Coin mechanic is just brilliant, though is there a way to bypass in case I manage to lose the coins?
Yes just press the coin door button versus inserting coins

I noticed how your Ghosts n Goblins seems to get stuck on the down position. It did the same thing on both my machines. I bought both just like you

I’m fond of the purple one and it looks killer with a black light on ….
I notice on mine ghoulies n ghost, that the left coin door that accepts the coins, is dimmer than the right coin door, when you turn the lights off, can really tell the difference, from other reviews I seen, their machines did the same thing.
Not a big deal in my opinion I think it's because that left side has a coin mech behind it covering more light

I like how you play these games. It's the same way I do! Forget the armor. Fighting the forces of darkness in one's underwear is so much more freeing! :D

why do they have player 1 and player 2 button when its a single player game? (only 1 joystick too)
I love both. While Ghouls is a much better game, I just love the original game's artwork and colors. Ghouls looks great as well, just less original. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either. For me, Ghosts n Goblins was the one I saw in the arcade as a kid, where as Ghouls was more synonymous with the excellent Sega Genesis port. I don't think most of us often even saw that one in the arcades.

My only disappointment, is a timing issue. Coleco kickstarted Berzerk and Frenzy, after I backed it. NWT announced the same games, albeit a different form factor, and roms? If had know this going in, I would have got one Coleco and one NWT ETC.

I don't know. I NEVER liked any of the artwork on the Ghosts and Goblins cabinet, especially the Marquee.

One thing I really appreciate about Replicades is they make it possible to collect the machines that I never really played or barely even saw or didnt even like….all of those were just as much a part of the arcade experience as the more popular games for me.
Why not just make a 3/4 arcade… these are way to small in my opinion… screen 📺 what is the screen size 1 inch? buttons controller etc… another item to sit on a shelf and collect dust…
As I always say I consider these functional collectibles that are meant to sit on a shelf for decoration - I only play mine when I dust them. They are conversation pieces etc. If you really want to play them plug in a controller and plug it into your TV.
The 4.5” screens are larger than a PSP and these have HDMI out if you want a different display and USB in if you want different controls, but these are very playable on their own as well as being amazingly accurate replicas.
If you don’t like having a scale replica arcade in your office, that’s your loss. I can hardly wait for mine to arrive because they are a great decoration in my home office that are also fun to play during downtime.
