      @@Stockaccino you can link the rig into a new scene. Lots of tutorials for this process already on UA-cam. Just search “Link rig in Blender”

    Amazing work! I always struggle with character animation, but you make it seem clearer and more understandable. Love the final result, I think it looks really close to the Spideverse.

    Underrated and probably the best tutorial here for making a spider verse animation. The video is really fast. Making it hard to follow but that's the only problem.

    Brilliant tutorial, I was wondering the other week what the blocking and spline process is like because I’d usually just make key frames and interpolate them, but this process seems really good

    btw, they animate on 2s, so to make it look more like the real movie, animate it on 2

      I've answered this in a previous comment. But towards the end of the movie miles is animated on 1's, so my intention was to create a confident miles run. However I agree, that animating on 2's is more in line with the overall style of the movie.

    I think that if the animatuwas on 2s it would give even more of a spiderversy look to it by contrasting with the moving BG, but amazing work nonetheless!

    This looks awesome. However, maybe instead of creating a texture to create motion blur of the hand, you could duplicate and stretch the hand. That would have been easier and that's how it was done in the movie as far as I know.

      They used a mix of both, as far as I’m aware! I think in future I may do a video about using multiples in animation, what do you think?

    animation looks nice, I think the hands are swinging too much, but I like the end result it looks very spider-versey. Also you used Dots for highlights which look nice. Def Earned a sub from me. Keep grinding brother

      It’s the same shader set up as the smears. Just pause the vid at 4:32 and copy the node graph

    Hello, I wanted to see if someone can help me with this problem. I haven't done much animation, especially in Blender. In fact, I'm more focused on modeling, but I want to learn how to animate. The problem is that I can't see the finger bones. I've checked the PDF and the video, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Hope someone can help me

      Good question! Reference is always a good place to start. Look at your favourite animations and and go through frame by frame. I'm sure you'll find some inspiration there

      If you press T in thr viewport, the toolbar will pop up on the left hand side, there you can select the gizmos for translate, rotate and scale 😊

      Make sure you're selecting the correct controls, and make sure you're copying first (CTRL C)

      It is essentially animated on twos so if you were to follow along, all you’d have to do is change the f curve interpolation mode to stepped

    A great watch and a great tutorial! This was a great vid and you should continue to make more. I'm also having trouble with the miles rig, where all the bones in the WGST_Miles folder isnt having any effect on the miles rig. Is there a solution?

      If you take a look at the read me file included in the rig, It'll explain how to use it. They need to be made visible and are on different bone layers.

      You have to enable the right bone layers in the rig

      Yes, you have to have the correct bone layers visible and active. There's a read me file included in the rig which details a basic set up guide

      He’s actually animated at different frame rates throughout the entire film! I wanted to emulate miles in his prime, and if you notice towards the end of the first movie, miles is actually animated on 1’s. But I agree, animation on 2s is WAY more iconic!

      Animated movie budgets are after a lot lower than live action films. Would you believe that into the spiderverse’s budget was only 90 Million?!
