I speak spanish fluently and i never studied it i learned it just by watching Mexican telenovelas 😉
On the Spanish series to recommend, I'd add "Vis a Vis", "Sky Rojo" and "Toy Boy".
I'm watching Vuelve A Mi, by Telemundo 'and Telemundo Telenovelas) here on You Tube. On the second channel they put English subtitles on the video, and with adding 'CC' in Spanish yourself you can have the double subtites as well.
TV Azteca Novelas y Series also had many series full episodes on YT.

This is very true. My mum’s first language was Hokkien and she learned Bahasa Indonesia when she was at school. She learnt how to speak English and Chinese when she was eighteen just by watching movies in English and Chinese.
I can speak English and Chinese. I actually have no idea how I learnt Chinese but I did. I can speak well in Chinese (according to many Chinese speakers). I think I need to start improving my French.
I love kids shows! Animated children films are the best.

I bought a lifetime subscription to Lingopie, but I have to watch it on my computer, so I’m not using it that much. Plus they do make a lot of typos in the subtitles. I’m always proud of myself when I figure out what the Spanish was actually saying, and how the English subtitles are wrong. It is very good, especially if you are really into TV series and films like I am.
I also really liked Queen of flow. And so many episodes! And I really like Reggaeton music, so it was great to hear it.

on prime I've recently watched "jack reacher" series with spanish subtitles and 1 or 2 episodes (in second run) with spanish audio with english subtitles.. 👍💥

I found La casa de papel had some difficult to follow accents. For me, I enjoyed Alta Mar and could follow more of the Spanish than with Casa de Papel.
I want to do this but they speak soooo fast 😂 but I can surely try slowing down the speed

I like the idea of double subtitles, but nowadays I would not advertise Israel based company...
