there's lots of areas in afghanistan especially that multicam worked well. granted, it won't hide well in the flat fuckfields but not much can hide there anyways
This was a very impressive demonstration. I actually had difficulty spotting him when he was standing still and didn't pick him up until he started moving around. Even when he stopped out in the open I could have easily lost track of him if I had gotten distracted and looked away. If I was an enemy on patrol without any sort of thermal imaging and he had been waiting in ambush, I wouldn't have been aware of his presence until I started taking fire.
Good point. I agree. I just recently replaced my UCP ACU's with OCP and I see that it has a lot more green than Multicam. I actually like OCP better than Multicam now.
+American Warrior556 again depends on climate or time of season. Arid area or around summer/fall I'd go with multicam. Woods or spring I'd go with scorpion. Jungle I'd still go with tiger.
So I like both MultiCam OCP and scorpion OCP, but I still love the UCP DIGITAL all the way, because Army had to make there digital version to from all branches. I think they should dye the UCP AND GIVE ANOTHER TEST RUN! it has potential still !!
i think its more effective then multicam to be honest the green fits way better then the beige in mc still say the canadian cadpat is still the best woodland jungle green camo
@@johnpearce9891 I agree, but for the most part, us Cannucks have somewhat gone with the Marine Corps regarding coyote brown on field gear. Easiest solution for having two very effective patterns It's mostly coming out of fashion; current Chief of the Defence Staff was former commander of Canadian JSOC, apparently was personally unhappy that the troops weren't wearing Multicam like JTF2 boys.
@@johnpearce9891 Agreed. Solid OG or Coyote Brown is a good "high-speed, rapid-deployment" thing to have with base kit. Multicam is fine too for field gear, but I think it's a really poor choice for Canada as a single uniform, especially if it's replacing CADPAT.
test it lying prone in a more dirt area less green. I'm interested to see what this looks like laying in dirt and rocks on a hillside or in different seasons as well.
It is better than multi cam in more environments. The only edge multi cam has on it in environments with more browns because scorpion w2 is more green heavy.
I have problem to see you even in lash green surround. They add more green in pattern so it work pretty well in woods. Multi cam from distance looks like brownish blotch. This pattern is more green so I guess it will be better in woodland area.
Nope. No all coyote gear. We’re going with a mix of OCP and OEF-CP (multicam) Ta-50 gear. They’re not gonna phase out the oefcp gear (but they are going to wear out the uniform) but all new gear will be ocp.
Actually operators are issued "civilian" Multicam made by Crye Precision. Also the new Reg clearly states that Crye can be privately purchased and worn as long as the knee pads are not worn in Garrison. The Army admits the .01 increase in cost per uniform was the only reason it did not field Crye Multicam. Also the word from TRADOC & SOCOM is that the kits will be permitted in Multicam pattern. I have heard nothing of dying anything but did see a memo put forward to use the Coyote Tan. It has been disregarded last I heard. Look the "scorpion" pattern and Multicam are just about identical. The Army wanted it they just didn't want to pay for it. If you are able go to any combat arms facility and you will 100% of the time see guys wearing Crye. SOCOM field tested it extensively and it has been fielded to all operators i.e. SEALS, Rangers, etc for the better part of 5 years. In use in actual theater. There are even Crye patterns that are not available "easily" to the general public.
Border Vaquero hey border, I wasn't clear on the coyote tan in use with MC or new scorpion. I had heard same thing but haven't seen the memo or any literature. Do you have a AR that I can reference for the multicam kit usage or alaract message maybe? Some leadership bitches if they see anything not specifically issued and I'd like to be able to cite it. Thanks
That's honestly really good camouflage it's really hard to see you, I believe the army did right on this pattern.
but we fight in the desert

looks like woodland had a baby with multicam.

It's actually better than I thought it would be. Thanks brother.
I honestly think the differences between multicam and scorpion are so minuscule that they are equally effective patterns.

I prefer this over the UCP. if I put on UCP, game over!

Quite agree. Still drives me nuts that the Army is wanting to replace CADPAT with something more 'Multicamy'
@@johnkonrad5040 I could understand from a supply perspective but

@@johnkonrad5040 indeed most of my outdoor gear is coyote as iam not military but it works well in all environments

This is better than Where's Waldo.
looks like an improvement over multicam in a wooded area, again BDU/DCU colors in a Flecktarn pattern

UCP does very well...A hell of a lot better than the ACU grey pattern.
OverWatchGaming he is testing OCP in the video, the gray camo you're talking about is called UCP, not ACU.
Does the uk army use multi cam and us used cop?

Great !
Still stands out until he hides behind trees and crawls behind ferns. Army still doesn't get it.
That is For Florida !
Shit... This does a lot better than Multicam. Fuck the civilian Multicam.

im In the JROTC i like ACU more better then the UCP uniform.
ACU = Army Combat Uniform
UCP = Universal Camouflage Pattern
+Alpha-Charlie Concepts. Oh
More better.....!
+SuburbanNinja 9000 Our future soldiers.....
+hydrated
Nah I was making fun of bad grammar. Yet am not any better those.
im going to join the US.Army in 3years and i really am going to mis the ACU
You wouldn't miss the ucp if you had worn it in combat. Orange would have worked just as well.
ACU is the uniform, UCP is the camo (old one).
By God, it puts Multicam to fucking shame.
The Allied Powers why? Is it because they modified the multicam camo?
ElectroGamer2003 Multicam has a hard time working in lush environments. OCP has thicker bars of brown.
The Allied Powers so basically, it's darker than multicam
ElectroGamer2003 Yup.
The Allied Powers and its more better for deserts and forest ?
