That ship is putting together parts from the Enterprise era and the TOS movie era. Skips the TOS era entirely. And it's balanced to be more powerful than anything from even the 24th century.
those multiple phasers are so cool, just by looking at them one feels the power. Still bringing Romulans/Remans to the knees 250 years later! Seriously though that ship needs a hell of rebalancing 😄

People always under estimate the Enterprise era, but it’s still my favorite. Just goes to show that some things are just built so well that they will stand the test of time. Much like the Excelsior.
I believe the original Yorktown class was from very early Federation days, say 2160's. However this one's registry would suggest it was commissioned in the 23rd century. And the phasers definitely appear to be the design from the 2270's onwards like it's been refitted.
Enterprise E would have put up a way better fight but in Nemesis it was knocked out of warp and the warp core was damaged before the real fight even began. That alone makes the battle in favor of the scimitar.
My thoughts exactly that whole fight was hit the Enterprise while cloaked and make it exhaust itself during the fight. That ram alone could have won Picard the fight if they didn’t realize it in time
@SuperGamefreak18 but the scimitar was fast and more morneverable than the Enterprise E only way it would have worked was the way they did it in the movie.
@@mystahsouljahboy ah misread what you said and that battle cloak basically made sure the sovereign couldn’t keep up. With no cloak I figured the fight would be pretty even still leaning in favor of the Scimitar but one the sovereign could likely win with less issues.

Phaser array like on the enterprise D or E or 2 full 360° ones top and bottom and stick 3 forward 2 aft torpedoes with quantum torpedoes in the front. Just an idea vs this scimitar
Yeah, the mod creator might need to rebalance the ship just a tiny bit. I guessing who ever made the ship was more interested in the looks rather than balancing.
It's a game and it's all a bit of fun but by Star Trek standards, the Yorktown lasting more than 5 seconds would effectively be ludicrous. The show (albeit in the mirror universe) demonstrated the striking power difference between Enterprise and TOS era ships quite adequately.

Holy crap this shape is insane. I have to agree with David Turner, that with the era this ship is from it's WAY too powerful. Now grant it has a crap ton of phaser banks...but still with it being between the Enterprise and TOS Movie era....ya way too strong. Well remember the Scimitar has both primary AND secondary shielding. So that's why you had a little difficulty to get through their shields. With a ship that size, ya there's an edge of maneuverability over the Scimitar. The design of this class of ship though is pretty interesting. I too wonder if it would be in service through the 24th Century, or at least decommissioned at that time.
The Scimitar had 52 disrupter banks, 27 torpedo bays, primary and secondary shields. The 1701-E had worked on it quite a bit, yet the Scimitar's shields were only down to 70% AFTER the E rammed them. Realistically, this Yorktown had no chance, so the game is really misrepresenting its power + its shielding. You figured that out when you said the Enterprise-E had trouble, and it had FAR more power and better shielding than this Yorktown.
Space is a dangerous place, so all Federation ships would have a phaser array like the Yorktown. The Dominion wouldn't have messed with Starfleet if this was the case.
I'm having a hell of a time to get STBC to work on modern system with mods can you make and iso of your install and share it? I believe this is considered abandoneware at this point.

This ship appears in star trek legacy, and IS enterprise era. Yorktown also is a battleship.

1:06 they disabled the cloaking device on the aft port quarter and then did a full emergency stop. And it didn't work out as expected!
