    I’ve been following pricing, the winged cars have been consistently between 245-275k, for at least 2 years, it’s the tourings that went over 300k, now in the 280 range. Overall they haven’t gone down much.

    I just bought my shark blue GT3 CPO and totally agree with you. Prices are dropping but stabilizing as production has stopped for 992.1 and they prepare for the 992.2. Shark Blue is going to be a PTS color next year so that definitely is a plus. when looking.

    Paid sticker for mine. I'm not a flipper so a market correction isn't a big deal for me. GT3's hold their value much better than the vast majority of cars out there. Just be glad you didn't buy a Maserati...😆

    Thank you very much for the content you provided.
    I think many people bought these terrific cars and justified them as an investment and used a line of credit at the bank at a low interest rate initially.
    HELOCs or lines of credit have gone up and so have payments for the trending down in price GT3.
    This puts a cold shower on enthuiasm and wanting to talk about your car.
    One thing I have found funny over the last many years is when a used GT3 is advertised for sale most often the ad reads "Never Tracked."
    They are not a terrific street car so the desireability is?

    • @ignitionontheleft
      @ignitionontheleft  5 місяців тому

      You may be right about the line of credit, i didn't consider that.
      Not tracking this car is like buying a boat and never putting it in the water.

    Interesting as always. Unfortunately the price of our cars fluctuate and with it for many the enjoyment they get out of it. I’m feeling fellow owners now are really down borderline depressed. Not much action going on in forums and dealers aren’t interesting taking in cars in part exchange. They can sell in commission, but you don’t get a fixed sum of money for your old car, even when buying new high end cars. This is Europe based market. I was offered an ST but my dealer wouldn’t commit to a price on my slightly used PTS GT4RS so I said whatever and walked away from the ST allocation, at MSRP of course as everything here in Europe.

    I'm just curious to see what MSRP for 992.2's will be. Will they be closer to the 190-200 price range or stay around the low-mid 180s? Also with how Porsche usually is, the .2 variant is usually the better car.

    • @ignitionontheleft
      @ignitionontheleft  5 місяців тому +1

      From what I'm hearing from buddies and buyers of the .2 is the dealers are still asking 50k over...or some extra juice if there is a trade. A trade of a .1 could negate some or most of the over in today's market.

  • @ApexGT1

    I have a 2022 with CF Roof and PCCB and full PPF at 5k miles.. still valued at 240k, paid 255k for it with 700 miles as CPO(2028) in May 2023. Right now the availablity is higher, so dealers are dropping about 5% but will go back up a bit in car season over the next 3 months. Hopefully. ;)

    Still a ton of hype around Porsche, this is just a trend across all used cars due to rates. ADM is not on every single car anymore. I bought my 1.2 to track and slowly modifying it to be more track focused. Don't plan to ever sell it as it was a dream car so not too concerned about the value. It did drop a significant amount from what I paid though. Not sure if I'd jump to a 992 unless it was an RS and those values are still in the stratosphere and I'll not be getting an allocation direct from a dealer any time soon. Would probably want to keep the 1.2 even with the RS but likely would just not make much sense. need more garage space....

    Be careful with your example of the sub-200k car. That one is a salvaged title car and you can even see in the photos that the hood doesn't close right. I don't know if we will see sub 200k for a clean title 992 lower than 10k miles for a while. Seasonal dip with folks not buying right now, might be the right time to buy before spring.

    • @ignitionontheleft

    I paid MSRP for my 992.1 GT3 (Shark Blue, PCCB, Manual, Buckets, CF roof/mirrors). I'm not a flipper either but I'm considering selling it when I get my Amethyst GT3RS this summer. I'm not sold on PDK...so I might drive both and make my decision later.
    IMO buyers can't speculate on pricing projections and make their purchase decisions based solely on resale. These are quite expensive cars with a high price fluctuation, and owners need to project based on down-side scenario (losing 10% a year), enjoy driving them as much as possible as intended. (Making money is a sweet bonus)

    I have a 22 GT3, sticker then in early 22 was $193k, but paid $50k above. Most are still going for $240+.
    The price will drop a little more, then bounce back up. In a few years it will be back above +250k.
    Inflation will be a driving factor...

    • @ignitionontheleft

With the .2 price bump and ADM's the way they currently are, this will be easy 300k car for a good spec. I'm hoping they find the pain tolerance of buyers in relation to ADM soon... otherwise for 300k I'm going to consider a used F8 instead.

    Prices are down because it’s now an older car. It’s lost the „IT“ factor. People have moved onto 3RS and Spyder RS. I got my GT3 allocation almost 3 years ago, drove it for 2 years and moved on. If you got your allocation at MSRP then you are still fine. Also, these are not rare cars, a lot of them made over what is now 3 model years.

    Anyone think that the regular 911's prices aren't depreciating as they should yet (several years post pandemic)? For instance, many 2020 models are still asking for 90-$100K. Not much off from their original sticker price. Fair for a 4 year old car with 30K miles to only have 10% depreciation? I believe a more realistic price is 65-75K for a base 911 from 2020. Let me know if I am off on my logic.

      Lucky. I was in asheville NC on vacation and bought my first CPO 911 from Porsche Asheville. Mark, the sales guy and i stayed in touch and he was able to get me a gt4 and the gt3 at msrp. The dealership sold, my guy moved on and now i don't exist at the dealership. In fact, i had money down and was "first in the list for the 3rs" - when I spoke with the GM he said "there is no f$&*ing way I'm selling that car to you." That was that.

      Hmmm , kudos on MSRP for a GT3 👍🏻. I am on #5 Porsche from the same dealer , 3 911’s , 2 718’s at MSRP or 4-5% discount . Currently have a nicely Specked 2023 911 GTS. Cab at MSRP , not sure I like it anymore than my 2022 718 GTS 4.0 cab that handled better, Though the 911 is faster.I hate the radio on the new 911 and the new dash don’t like the steering wheel breaks up the dash and it takes forever for the radio to boot up sometimes not with the channels that I have loaded🤦‍♂️. When I asked about a GT three I was told 50 K over and my salesman advised it wasn’t a good idea. The day I took delivery of my car brand new last November 22 somebody was buying a standard 911 coupe, for$ 20,000 over. I am currently on the list for the 718 RS spider but disappointed that I’m like number eight on the list, would you likely means no car and I called the same day I got an email from Porsche about the car. I subscribed to excellence magazine but hadn’t heard about the car until day I received the email. If my name comes on the list regarding the spyder RS I’m not even sure if that would be at MSRP, despite my trade having on the 2000 miles. I really believe the 718 RS spyder is going to be great , GT -3power in a mid engine car and it’s as light as a GT-3 Likely very collectible like the 2019 9/11 spyder.

    Prices was ridiculous a year ago and prices today is stupid...and prices of today should be at around MSRP range. I wouldn't touch one until the GT3 price drops to MSRP level before I would even think of buying one. Just watch the prices will continue to drop more!!! In Canada there is a huge abundance of GT3's sitting in the lot for over 4 months and not selling!! If you want to buy one...just wait..they will eventually all come down in price like you said they are not limited productions out there. Only Porches that appreciates in value are the rare spec ones or limited ones. Remember back in 2012 you can pick up a brand new GT3 with $30K off MSRP and why would anyone pay over $110K over MSRP...don't play that Porsche game!!

    there isn`t that many buyers for these cars. market is saturated. in Germany there is 4 times more 992 GT3 for sale then 991.2 GT3. This tells you as well that the production numbers for 992 are far greater. And consider that 991.2 GT3 they produced over 10,000k. Most people who bought the new 992.1 will as well get now 992.2 (if they can off-load the older car). question is who is gonna pay 200k for older car when new one is the same price. the good times for 1st owners are gone (coming from a guy who bought two GT porsches in last 18 months new from dealer at MRSP.

      992 3RS were $250-300 over 6 month ago … no one lost $100K … will settle out at $50K over in six months as .2 cars become the hype … normal cycle

      @@brianhimmelman420I’ll bet you anything 992 3RS’s aren’t $50k over in 6 months. They’ve built was less of them and future allocations are crap. $75-100k for right spec low mile cars in 6 months. Not saying $50k over won’t happen at some point but certainly not happening in 6 months from now going into beginning of summer
