    I've just got this model, the wash and dry should be called wash and damp. My clothes are still wet and smell weird its brand new.

    The video is helpful, but I have just been checking the manual and there is an option for drying button if you do not require to dry the clothes eg. wool and hand wash

    Hwe purchased the RD966J machine and it was giving error code F08 from new. The original advice was to reset the machine. This issue was persistent and got to the stage where we could not wash above 20 degrees and the dryer function became useless.
    The original advice to simply reset the machine has now changed to book an engineer and at cost to us!
    More concerning to me is that this error occurs randomly during a cycle and the machine has to be turned off via the wall socket as it become Incredibly hot and frozen stuck showing f08 on the display.
    As I stated previously the original misleading information of simply reset the machine then changed to book an engineer and I feel duped.
    We dare not use it when we go to bed.

      Cheers for sharing, touch wood ours is still working fine. Its louder than it originally was, but working well.

    Two questions if I may. Can it do a dry only cycle, my now buggered Bush washer dryer couldn't? Also, is it quiet? I took on board about the cheaper Economy 7 electricity and I wouldn't mind doing that too, but I live in a flat and I don't want to disturb my neighbours.

    • @SpectrumGeeks
      @SpectrumGeeks  2 роки тому

      Yeah, certain wash modes have a "dry only" function.
      You can hear how loud the washing machine is in the video, it has got louder as its got older.

    Hi there- thanks for posting the video. We have this same device but wondered if you need to clear the drying lint from anywhere - there doesn't seem to be a filter accessible for this?

    Just wondering, what is the shortest 40c with 1600 full spin cycle on this machine? I’ve been looking at a new hot point washer but the cycle lengths are almost twice that of my old one, there are functions that can speed them up but they always reduce the spin to a silly 800 which mean the clothes take forever to dry - does this machine have a relatively short (less than 90 min) 40c with full spin cycle? If so I may consider a washer dryier rather than a full washer

    • @SpectrumGeeks
      @SpectrumGeeks  4 роки тому

      Not that I have found, like you say the shorter wash cycle is around an 800 spin, so then I select an extra spin and pump out cycle after if needed.

    • @gamwam
      @gamwam 4 роки тому +1

      Spectrum Geeks I have a 10 year old got point Aquarius ultimate that does a 40c wash with a 1600 spin in 1 hour and 30, seems to be whatever hotpoint I look at now takes far longer, think I’ll start looking at other brands

    Hey, I've had this washerdryer for 2 years now. I've only just discovered where to stow the purple liquid partition (when not in use) and you've just told me what the direct injection does. I find that in my washerdryer I always have a lump of powder left does this happen to you?

    • @SpectrumGeeks
      @SpectrumGeeks  4 роки тому +1

      No lump of powder in mine, but I only use liquid detergents.
      I have noticed its suddenly got louder so I need to look into that.

      heat pump technology is only available in stand-alone separate dryers. Washer dryer combos use a cold water condenser to evaporate the water
